~~Miami Heat vs San Antonio - 2013 NBA Finals - The Miami Heat wins!

Re: ~~Miami Heat vs San Antonio - 2013 NBA Finals - (Spurs 3 - Miami 2) ~~

thats my thinking

If I dont want to win I could put that same money in a hedge fund

the day I buy a team I am trying to win at least 3 chips in my lifetime

ALL THE CHAMPIONSHIPS

and i don't care about no tax. we signing a super squad and my gm gets 4 year intervals if the moves ain't being made and the draft picks are bust. yo ass is out of here.

people support winners. you'll make your money back.

Re: ~~Miami Heat vs San Antonio - 2013 NBA Finals - (Spurs 3 - Miami 3) ~~

They can all opt out in 2014

Yup, possibilities are unlimited....

Just think if they all take pay cuts again...
Each shade $1.5mil off their deals...

Re: ~~Miami Heat vs San Antonio - 2013 NBA Finals - (Spurs 3 - Miami 3) ~~

good

and the heat players getting upset that they were bringing out the yellow tape and shit.

you're at home, this wasn't the spurs people in charge of all of that lol.
 secuirty came down on the court in preparation to hand out the trophy

Re: ~~Miami Heat vs San Antonio - 2013 NBA Finals - (Spurs 3 - Miami 3) ~~

Or MJ, Kobe, and Shaq

actually, of those you named, only michael jordan can make the same claim as that made of tim duncan (and that's only if you discount the seasons with the wizards).

Re: ~~Miami Heat vs San Antonio - 2013 NBA Finals - (Spurs 3 - Miami 3) ~~

still better than fans that don't show up til mid-way through Q1 or spend the halftime and Q3 at the bar.

Talking about last year Heat fans...

Re: ~~Miami Heat vs San Antonio - 2013 NBA Finals - (Spurs 3 - Miami 3) ~~

Killa you been in here trippin acting like the Heat invincible though bro

They have shown they can be beaten

If the owners and GMs wouldn't have acted like bitches and created the CBA then got scared to spend money they could have competed

2011 lost
2012 won
2013 headed to game 7 with opposing team completely blowing game 6

I got the Heat winning tomorrow and had them winning before the season started the gap isn't as wide as you are making it seem right now

Even most reasonable Heat fans will tell you that

If anything the teams being scared to spend and conceding this window have made it easier but they still having to fight

You are right Miami isn't invincible.

The thing is as you said look how owners and Gm's have responded since the big 3 came together. Where is their competition?

Boston?

The team that is responsible for this big three to coming together as Wade said We all wondered what would had happen if Pierce KG and Ray would have got together in their prime. That team tried to make adjustments to stay on a contender level but couldn't. Now they are about to rebuild and the big 3 is about to be KG again. It's about to be Minnesota all over again KG.

Pacers

Larry Bird quit the same year he won exec of the year knowing this team wouldn't be able to stay together. Larry admitted when he saw Ray sign with the Heat that small market teams couldn't compete with big market teams. Now if you would told me that a team that lost their leading scorer made it to Conference Finals and he would return next year I would be expecting big things in the new season. Problem it's time to pay people. Danny Granger wants a new contract, David West is an unrestricted free agent, your young all star says he wants a max contract. Is Indiana about to become the first small market team that will willing enter the new luxury tax? Of course not. Pacers future is still bright but now they have to get better while remaining under the cap and as we saw with OKC when you do that sacrifices have to be made.

Nets

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

The one team that doesn't care about the luxury tax willing went from the lowest paid team to the second highest payroll team in the NBA. Team is no threat at all to miami. They are only interested in competing with the Knicks and merchandise sales.

Knicks

Team is handcuff by the salary cap. Donnie Walsh had a plan set in motion to do the same thing the Heat did in 2010 and to do the same thing with Melo and Cp3 in 2011. The coming lockout, Melo wanting his extension before the lockout and the Knicks owner changed that. Melo can opt out next summer and is up for 135 million 5 yr extension. That type of contract will really hand cuff a team. Ask the Lakers about Kobe's contract. The Knicks have to look to veteran's and draft picks to improve.

OKC

The anti Miami team. Drafted all their stars and built their team the hard and "right way" every year the team has improved. Many felt that last season's NBA Finals would be a yearly thing but here comes the CBA fucking things up. Harden wants his money and OKC doesn't want anything to do with the luxury tax in 2014. So OKC breaks up their team in order to avoid the luxury tax. Same thing as the Pacers. OKC has to improve while avoiding the luxury tax.

Bulls

The only team that can really challenge Miami and could make a huge splash in 2014. Derrick Rose coming back will be huge for the Bulls but the Bulls could actually go into 2014 with enough to add one big player or do like they did in 2010 and add a lot of pieces.

It's not that I think Miami is invincible but I seen what other teams have done and what they aren't willing to do.

The thing is the CBA that was put in place to prevent something like Wade Bosh and Bron did from happening again is actually stopping teams from competing against them.

Re: ~~Miami Heat vs San Antonio - 2013 NBA Finals - (Spurs 3 - Miami 3) ~~

Heat fans were seen leaving the game with 50 seconds left! What kind of fans are these? BUT props to my CAC in the Milwaukee Bucks Ray Allen throwback jersey.

One day you will FEAR the DEER again!!!!

Damn shame...:smh:

these are the SAME fans that will go batshit crazy if Lebron leaves after next season

:hmm:

but the hole in your boat is that the team currently in G7 of the NBA finals is a small market team $11M over the salary cap (almost exclusively due to stephen jackson's contract)

Re: ~~Miami Heat vs San Antonio - 2013 NBA Finals - (Spurs 3 - Miami 3) ~~

multiple superstar PGs went down who would have been in their path

2 years in a row.

on lil cam head if rose wouldn't have went down we would have bodied the heat last year and this year.

You are right but the beauty of Stephen Jackson's contract which was acquired by trading Richard Jefferson to the Warriors.

His contract expires this summer. While Richard Jefferson who has already opting into his player option for next year. would had been on the books for spurs next season.

The Spurs traded for Jackson because his contract would be off the books sooner than Jefferson.

Peter Holt back in October was named to be leader the leader of the NBA Owners. Remember Peter was right with Dan Gilbert during the lockout.

The Spurs have significant amount of cap space in the summer but no one is expecting them to spend crazy.

Remember the moves that Spurs have made recently is to avoid the new luxury tax

Tim opt out of 21 million dollar contract and sign a 3yr 32 million contract extension as he said to keep his team together.

Spurs traded George Hill because he was due for a contract we seen RC do this before.

What's funny Danny Green signed a new contract last summer but imagine if he was a free agent this summer.:smh::smh:

Re: ~~Miami Heat vs San Antonio - 2013 NBA Finals - (Spurs 3 - Miami 3) ~~

Is it true heat fans were boo'ing lebron at the end of the game?

Re: ~~Miami Heat vs San Antonio - 2013 NBA Finals - (Spurs 3 - Miami 3) ~~

Man fuck that wack ass CBA

Owners played themselves and more importantly the fans

Re: ~~Miami Heat vs San Antonio - 2013 NBA Finals - (Spurs 3 - Miami 3) ~~

and injuries

the Heat dealt with injuries to Bosh last year.Mike Miller was on his death bed last year too

dealing with Wade's fucked up knee this year which is hurting more on the defensive side of the ball where Miami make their meal.

Injuries are part of the game and nobody would give the Heat a pass so these other squads dont get any either.

And yet if so many teams could beat the Heat why the fuck do I hear yapping about a stacked squad.

One minute its Wade and Bosh are washed up, next minute its the Heat are a stacked super team.

The Heat just so happen to be a small specialist team with little to no size that tries to play to their strengths

Re: ~~Miami Heat vs San Antonio - 2013 NBA Finals - (Spurs 3 - Miami 3) ~~

THE BIG 4!

JAMES
WADE
BOSH
ALLEN

:dance::dance::dance::dance:

Re: ~~Miami Heat vs San Antonio - 2013 NBA Finals - (Spurs 3 - Miami 3) ~~

These niggas were able to sneak ray allen on the team for dirt cheap

And the owners thought it would be smart to tighten up the cap

thing is

how is a CBA ever gonna prevent an unrestricted free agent from playing where and with whom he wants to play

You think a CBA could ever stop Kevin Durant from signing with New York if that time or opportunity arose

Re: ~~Miami Heat vs San Antonio - 2013 NBA Finals - (Spurs 3 - Miami 3) ~~

I disagree with the overrated part, but he did make some bad mistakes at the end of last night's game. Overrated coaches don't win 4 championships and make the playoff 16 years in a row.

But leaving Duncan out and continuing to play Manu :dunno:

Don't know what to think of it. But Manu :smh: simply amazing. 8 turnovers. crucial ones at that. He is clearly the shittiest player on the floor.

Once duncan leaves SA lets see how well he does.

i think he is a better motivator than an x's and o"s guy.

Re: ~~Miami Heat vs San Antonio - 2013 NBA Finals - (Spurs 3 - Miami 3) ~~

Well, I can't say why Pop left Manu in during the early part of the second half but I am sure the fam listened to sports talk radio in their area to find out that Parker was cramping and basically couldn't go.

It's a damn shame, but that happens when you play at a high level and leave it all on the floor. Looks like Pop went with him because that was the only choice he "felt" he had, but I'm no coach...
i5NdHi8PUaA4m.gif

Notice no one saying shit about this
In front of the ref and I swear it should have been a flagrant or a fine. I mean, what if had been the other way...:hmm:
Bosh is lucky the refs didnt have the balls to call that.
Lucky in that you don't end a Finals game behind the arc with a whistle...
This gif NEVER gets old.
Spurs snatched defeat from the jaws of victory
Never heard it, but you ain't lied!
those games are in may tho?

just sayin
So, since they are in May, they are not playoff games?:smh:

I am just trying to understand.

And I love mic just like the rest of us.
BeatDownRecords, whats LBJ's PPG and FG% in close out Games?

U didnt Answer my question...

because I know for a Fact that your "Lebron has the highest point average in closeout game history" is BULLSHIT.

:lol::lol:

I'll Wait.. ..

Btw, none of those games of Mike were Closeout games.. . .

If I read the stat on the screen right last night, it's about 31.75 per game in closeouts...just so you know.
For other people crying, there is no way you call a foul on this

edit..is that Roy Jones Jr in the background..haha

nba_g_bosh_gb1_286.jpg
T-Mac lookin' up like his entire career depends on the play that's happening in front of him.
Fans? Some of you are really hurting.

So we dissing 32pt finals games now?

Shitting on leading 13pt comebacks?

Triple doubles it shit now?

Guarding 1's as a 4 is not exceptional now?

And a man's headband and hairline are national news, but Lebron is the fucked up one. OK if you sad sacks say so.
Ain't it sad, though.:smh:
Oh...

...is it just me, or did Ray Allen get HELLA elevation on that three for someone with such old legs?

That adrenaline. That nigga wanted that shit badly, clearly.
Man, after they showed the highlights from different angles, I knew I could not be the only one who thought that. It is like he floated for a split second.
He'll never admit it publicly but he also hates the way he's been relegated to a spot up shooter and "stretch 4" in miami. He wants to be a hall of famer and while it is good to win, he wants to have great numbers as well.

The sad thing is that most fans attribute Bosh's game to being perimeter based when he's always been a strong low post threat with a jumpshot. People that saw him at tech and toronto can vouch for that.

Yep and large bills had the answer for this in the Pacers series and I hope he re-reads this: run the O through Bosh and they win 72 games next season. I really want large bills to send that in to the organization and stop bullsh!tin!

The idea is to discourage players from leaving cuz they won't make as much leaving their current team and going to a new one

He already said he retiring when Duncan is

He will never be exposed

Re: ~~Miami Heat vs San Antonio - 2013 NBA Finals - (Spurs 3 - Miami 3) ~~

People wanted a foul call for Danny Green on that last possession.

After seeing what was let go throughout this series.

GET ALL THE WAY THE FUCK OUT OF HERE

And as for earlier how people were talking about how LBJ game is so limited.

Oh how quickly they forget the series of their idols. Fortunately box scores, video and basketball-reference live on in infamy

Re: ~~Miami Heat vs San Antonio - 2013 NBA Finals - (Spurs 3 - Miami 2) ~~

You niggas sound like fuckin fools

Of course melo Is the better "offensive" player that's it..

Lebron is more complete he does everything

It's like playing super Mario bros on Super Nintendo.

The princess jumped could float but was weak
The mushroom kid was strong but couldn't jump
Luigi jumped high but ran slow
Mario was more complete in everything he did

Totally agree with this assessment, and I beg to differ that Melo is the better offensive player... He has the better offensive mentality, but, when he's on or pissed LeBron can score in as many ways as effectively as any player in the League.

Also, as much as I hate D Wade, I hope at this point LeBron does get his 2nd ring this year! After a performance like the 4 quarter last night, you still have people in the media talking shit, talking about how ineffective a triple double that was, and how he hasn't proven nothing yet, etc. Fuck, what does dude have to do, score 100 in a game!!!

He put those motherfuckers on his back and carried them to the comeback, and even hit the big 3 at the end of the quarter to help force overtime...

His biggest problem is coming to Miami and playing with prima donna ass D Wade. It's like he's a different player when Wade is in the game... Separate him from that Nigga, put him back in Cleveland, and you will see how fucking dominant he can really be... and that's scary as shit seeing as he owns the damn MVP award already...
:smh:

Re: ~~Miami Heat vs San Antonio - 2013 NBA Finals - (Spurs 3 - Miami 3) ~~

I'm just glad its 7 games. Cats in this & the Pacers post was talking sweep, Heat in 5...I want Bron to get his rings, but I didn't like the disrespect people were showing the Spurs. These dudes were 20 seconds away from a title.

and they choke it away.

again people were saying the championship composure and the great coaching of Pop would be the difference maker in this series and 20 seconds away from a title the Spurs showed neither.

Last night will go down as one of the biggest choke jobs ever in NBA history.

^^^^ don't want to keep kicking Wade but this lineup gets shit hyped quickly...

Chamlers
Allen
Miller
James
Anderson

Wade subbed in and the aggressivation level dropped off...

James like I could see why pop did what he did, I understand why Wade is subbed in at odd times

Re: ~~Miami Heat vs San Antonio - 2013 NBA Finals - (Spurs 3 - Miami 3) ~~

Last night will go down as one of the biggest choke jobs ever in NBA history.

not really.

several weeks ago, i was asked on this board if the spurs could be defeated. my response was certainly. if tony parker was injured and emanuel ginobili had to take over ball handling responsibilities, the spurs can be defeated by even a much lesser opponent than the miami heat.

well, we saw what happened when emanuel ginobili was thrust into that position last night in Q4.

coach popovich could have played other aspects differently, but where the plays without tim duncan are concerned, i agree with his line of thought. primarily you're playing to challenge the shot (both of which were successful). secondarily you're playing for the D rebound to close out the possession (abject failure).

Like Pop said in the press conference, two guys converged on Lebron & didn't box out Bosh, allowing him to get that rebound. They play it correctly...different ending.
