~~Miami Heat vs San Antonio - 2013 NBA Finals - The Miami Heat wins!

Re: ~~Miami Heat vs San Antonio - 2013 NBA Finals - (Spurs 3 - Miami 3) ~~

As I said Spurs had their souls taken last night. These guys are the walking dead. Game should be over by mid 2nd quarter.

I doubt it. That hasn't been the case this entire series. You've said you really havent been watching the games...but although there has been 4 blowouts, they were all close until the end of the 3-beginning of the 4th after one team went on a big run.

I think it will remain close and you'll see one team (probably Miami) start to break away in the same manner... end of third or in the 4th. Spurs aren't the type of squad that will just lay down plus these squads are really eventy matched.

Plus Miami has never really been the type of team that starts off well.. both wade and lebron are notoriously slow starters

All of the sudden people crying about fouls, funny. But not a peep about the continuous times lbj went to the hole and no whistle. Great game overall, and that last play isn't a foul

I am disgusted with officials, that clearly a foul. If you say clean block, but the body contact was there.
good call on the refs even if its a foul. No team should win a championship off free throws

Can't really complain about the refs in this series. They've done a great job.

Logic tells me Lebron is not getting the calls he should be getting because of all the flopping he does (which could be a result of him not getting calls ironically). I'm not specifically talking about this series but Lebron gets hit a lot going to the basket and doesn't get calls. He has to get hammered in order to get the call.

That also might partially be the reason he doesn't drive as much. There is emperical evidence that shows that hard fouls (that aren't called) immediately stops a player from driving. There was a huge study on it (shooting patterns after a hard foul on a drive).

I missed the game last night but I'm just glad the Heat won. Shouts to all the Heat supporters. I'd also like to say respect to the Spurs, for they are a great team.

you need to watch the last 5 minutes, its one of the most amazing things you will ever see. People were so pissed off at the heat they were leaving the stadium because everyone thought they were done

Re: ~~Miami Heat vs San Antonio - 2013 NBA Finals - (Spurs 3 - Miami 3) ~~

Killa, I didn't realize you were such a hard-headed Stan...

...and you don't give a fuck, neither.

Stan for who. Lebron? There is one player I that is my all time favorite. That's the Greatest Net Ever. Jason Kidd. I think hiring him as a coach is one of the many horrible moves my team made.

Lebron is best player in the league but I criticize him like everyone else. I don't have favorites that are above criticism. (exception of Terrence Williams)

Now no offense you shouldn't use the word stan because you admitted that Kobe is the only reason you like basketball. Hell you admitted to be conflicted over the finals because if the Spurs win Duncan is tied with Kobe. If Lebron wins he is adding on to his legacy that will likely surpass Bryant.

So again you shouldn't use the word stan when the alliance to one man has you conflicted over who you should root for.

If this was the other way around and Miami would have lost like this I would have said the same thing against them.

You don't recover from something like this.

I stop watching the games after 4. Two reasons. One as I said winner of game will determine who win the series. I did the same thing with the nets in game 3. I said who ever wins game three will take home the series. I didn't watch game 7 for the Nets. I went to see Iron Man 3.

As for this series I admit after game 4 I didn't feel the need to watch well that and "The Last of Us" was released Friday.

You maybe right personally I don't see how they recover from this. Look at them if this was Vice Versa.

Miami up by 5 playing on the road. Missing free throws and had to play in San Antonio for a gm 7 I would doubt they would recover. This is a team with tons of game 7 experience. This is devastating.

Remember what happen when Derek Fisher hit that shot with .09 left. The Spurs never recover after losing that heart breaker

Lebron made two big turnovers that should have cost them the game but was instead able to hit a clutch shot to bring them within two and the rest is history. He has to be feeling good after that.

Re: ~~Miami Heat vs San Antonio - 2013 NBA Finals - (Spurs 3 - Miami 3) ~~

Spurs gave the game away and pop is overrated.
That idiot took Duncan out twice on defense in less than a minute and a half.. Mia gets the offensive rebound both times.
Second why not foul with 28sec left and you up by three, why give Mia a chance to shoot.
Third why leave manu out there and he not giving you nothing.

I disagree with the overrated part, but he did make some bad mistakes at the end of last night's game. Overrated coaches don't win 4 championships and make the playoff 16 years in a row.

But leaving Duncan out and continuing to play Manu :dunno:

Don't know what to think of it. But Manu :smh: simply amazing. 8 turnovers. crucial ones at that. He is clearly the shittiest player on the floor.

man not to beat a dead horse but this so amazing to me

i mean you post a thousand bball threads (especially during the offseason), claim bball is your favorite sport, but you dont watch basketball

its clear youre more interested in what the gm's are doing around the league than the actual games

man....ive seen it all on bgol

Re: ~~Miami Heat vs San Antonio - 2013 NBA Finals - (Spurs 3 - Miami 2) ~~

:lol::lol:

i love this right here. I'm a Heat fan why cause I'm sticking to a prediction made back in 2010.

I think a lot of people especially people who teams are in the East are salty because they know their team ain't doing shit while Miami is together.

Doesn't bother me. I know the Nets will never win a chip and I still can enjoy my team. I don't need to hold on to shit that happen back to 90s to feel good about my team today like some people do.

Also the people who picked the spurs were hoping experience would win but age wouldn't show.

Also people talk about bandwagon fans. This is basketball.

The Bulls didn't have bandwagon fans? How many white people said fuck the NBA after jordan left. How many Bulls fans became laker fans after he retire?

How many Boston fans had their Boston pride renewed after the big three were formed where were these same fans when Kobe was getting MVP chants the year before in Boston and had record low attendance and Doc Rivers job was in jeopardy./

:lol: People acting like bandwagon fans started when Lebron said "I'm taking my talents to south beach."

Ironic thing about Bandwagon fans same guys saying "The Pacers will win because they play "team ball", "play old school NBA defense" and the o so popular "play the game the right way" have jumped to the Spurs saying the same things.

again I said Miami would win 4 straight in 2010 only thing that could stop them would be the CBA which has actually stop their competition.

^truth^

Re: ~~Miami Heat vs San Antonio - 2013 NBA Finals - (Spurs 3 - Miami 3) ~~

I think bosh is gone. He is looking to cash in one more time. 2014 he will likely have 3 rings and it will be his last chance to get a big time contract. This works out best for Riley. Miami will have cap space in a big free agent market

I listened to Stephen A Smith the other day and he was talking about a 15% kicker that teams would have to pay any of Miami's BIG 3 that were traded...

My question is... Who do you think would want to take on that extra money???:dunno:

Re: ~~Miami Heat vs San Antonio - 2013 NBA Finals - (Spurs 3 - Miami 3) ~~

Gotta love Greg Popovich's responses to stupid reporter questions. Dude is a hall of fame coach if anyone told you the Spurs would be one game away from a championship at the start of the season with their roster no one would've believed you.

Reporter: What do you do for game 7? How do you get your guys into game 7?

Popovich: I get 'em on a bus that arrives at a ramp over here, we go on the court and we play. That's how we get ready.

I don't watch basketball? I'm all of sudden obligated to watch every basketball game? Yes basketball is my favorite sport but I don't watch it all the time. Hell I don't watch every nets game.

You are right I am more interested in what the Gm's are doing right now than the NBA Finals.

I was the guy making threads on who will OKC choose to keep between Ibaka and Harden two years ago because of coming luxury tax.

The Gm's are the one who are going to have to respond on how to either dethrone Miami while avoiding the luxury tax.

The teams who aren't worry about the luxury tax already fucked their selves so bad their team is capped out and no options on improving beyond the draft and the veteran minimum. (knicks and Nets)

The young teams that are stock with talent have to choose who gets paid and who gets shipped out. (OKC and soon the Pacers)

Basketball is bigger than what just happens on the court. I'm waiting to see a GM to counter what Pat Riley did and what's even scarier he could do the same shit again next summer.

Put it like this. Gm's are the one who assemble a team. Knowing what GM is like and what owner is like what tells you where the franchise is going. Sam was mentor by RC Burford and OKC is ran just like the Spurs and anyone who knew that knew that team was going to either A) be broken up or B) players take pay cuts.

same way we know that while the Spurs will have a lot of cap space this summer they won't make any huge signings at all.

Re: ~~Miami Heat vs San Antonio - 2013 NBA Finals - (Spurs 3 - Miami 3) ~~

You’ll have to excuses ESPN for not mentioning LeBron James achieving a triple-double during the Heat’s 103-100 win over the Spurs until Game 6 ended.

LeBron grabbed his 10th rebound – capping a 32-point, 11-assist, 10-rebound, three-steal game – on Chris Bosh’s block of Tony Parker’s jumper with 31 seconds left, setting off a whirlwind finish that included Dwyane Wade missing a jumper, Manu Ginobili turning the ball over, Ray Allen making a pair of free throws and Chris Bosh blocking Danny Green’s 3-pointer at the buzzer. LeBron’s triple-double was, deservedly, an afterthought in one of the greatest Finals games in recent years.

But taking a step back, LeBron has made his mark in historic terms with his all-around games.

How many triple-doubles in the NBA Finals?

LeBron: Four
Every other active player combined: Three

How many triple-doubles in the 2013 playoffs?

LeBron: Three
Every other player combined: Two

LeBron has clearly outshined his peers in this area, but he’s still a step behind a predecessor, though only one predecessor, when it comes to all-time rank in Finals triple-doubles:

1. Magic Johnson, 8

2. LeBron James, 4

3. Walt Frazier, 2

3. Bob Cousy, 2

3. Bill Russell, 2

3. Larry Bird, 2

3. Wilt Chamberlain, 2

(edit: Where's Kobe? Where's Jordan?)

LeBron’s two triple-doubles in a single Finals series are the most since Magic also had two in 1991.

When it comes to playoff triple-doubles, LeBron now also trails only Magic:

1. Magic Johnson, 30

2. LeBron James, 11

2. Jason Kidd, 11

4. Rajon Rondo, 10

4. Larry Bird, 10

(edit: Where's Kobe? Where's Jordan?)

Of course, these historic rankings won’t – or at least shouldn’t – determine whether LeBron is recognized as having the best individual Finals in 2013. But obviously, a couple triple-doubles put him in great shape. LeBron leads these Finals in points, assists and steals and ranks second in rebounds (to Tim Duncan).

If the Heat win Game 7 on Thursday, which seems more likely than not, LeBron is in great shape to land his second Finals MVP whether or not he gets yet another third triple-double.

My question is... Who do you think would want to take on that extra money???:dunno:

Bosh isn't getting traded. I doubt anyone will trade for a guy who can opt out of his contract next summer. I doubt the Heat would get anything of real value.

Bron Wade and Bosh all have opt out options next summer. As said before it works out better for Riley for Bosh to opt out and have the money come out the books.

2014 free agency is deep. It's the reason teams like the Lakers Cavs Warriors and others are trying to clear as much cap space as possible.

The question is Wade though. Will he opt out. Bron is likely going to opt out. He already said he has no problem taking another pay cut to sign with the Heat again. As X-Factor said Bosh wants a bigger role and after winning 3 chips his mark is set in the NBA then it will be time to get paid.

Re: ~~Miami Heat vs San Antonio - 2013 NBA Finals - (Spurs 3 - Miami 2) ~~

You be dry hating. None of your post are positive for the Heat. It is always about what the other team does and what Miami can't do?

lie. flat out.

i always say what the heat can do. which is score in transition an early offense

and every time the offense struggles i question why lebron doesn't just catch it in the post and dominate.

this is what im talking about. you just paying attention to the other shit... it ain't all roses. there's enough people saying the heat are the best team in the history of the world.

someone has to provide an alternative. it ain't hating its real.

good

and the heat players getting upset that they were bringing out the yellow tape and shit.

you're at home, this wasn't the spurs people in charge of all of that lol.

How much people will really leave the current team they are with for another team in 2014 free agency though?

Re: ~~Miami Heat vs San Antonio - 2013 NBA Finals - (Spurs 3 - Miami 2) ~~

One of the real reasons you will never see parity is some organizations do not really care about winning as long as they make money

Yep

I'm sorry if I was a billionaire I would not want a sports team if I'm not trying to win

If I wanted to put that kind if money into an investment it would be something else

I play everything to win fuck that

How much people will really leave the current team they are with for another team in 2014 free agency though?

They haven't missed the playoffs duncan entire career and they've had different pieces all around HIM for all of it.

If I dont want to win I could put that same money in a hedge fund

the day I buy a team I am trying to win at least 3 chips in my lifetime

Re: ~~Miami Heat vs San Antonio - 2013 NBA Finals - (Spurs 3 - Miami 3) ~~

Killa you been in here trippin acting like the Heat invincible though bro

They have shown they can be beaten

If the owners and GMs wouldn't have acted like bitches and created the CBA then got scared to spend money they could have competed

2011 lost
2012 won
2013 headed to game 7 with opposing team completely blowing game 6

I got the Heat winning tomorrow and had them winning before the season started the gap isn't as wide as you are making it seem right now

Even most reasonable Heat fans will tell you that

If anything the teams being scared to spend and conceding this window have made it easier but they still having to fight

Re: ~~Miami Heat vs San Antonio - 2013 NBA Finals - (Spurs 3 - Miami 2) ~~

Great analogy

You niggas sound like fuckin fools

Of course melo Is the better "offensive" player that's it..

Lebron is more complete he does everything

It's like playing super Mario bros on Super Nintendo.

The princess jumped could float but was weak
The mushroom kid was strong but couldn't jump
Luigi jumped high but ran slow
Mario was more complete in everything he did

Re: ~~Miami Heat vs San Antonio - 2013 NBA Finals - (Spurs 3 - Miami 3) ~~

Heat fans were seen leaving the game with 50 seconds left! What kind of fans are these?

still better than fans that don't show up til mid-way through Q1 or spend the halftime and Q3 at the bar.
