You have a man who said his answer to racial healing in the country is law and order and nation wide stop and frisk, and you have black people proudly announcing they're not voting.
Man, if you could bring back Dr King and all the people that died fighting to make sure we have equal voting rights and tell them this shit, I don't think they would believe it.
Different time, different issues. Does it matter if we vote if the choices put before us in a rigged system are choices that don't resonate with what the people truly want?
Extreme example, but would you vote between seeing either your mother or your grandmother killed? What kind of choice is that?! Now imagine that same choice but between people you actually hated, but they are going to rule over you and the country you live in.
No you are being an apologist because he has not and won't speak to anything that black people are doing or feeling without hedging it to make the other feel loved.
There was no reason to speak to the pain felt of those who lost someone to war to lay the groundwork to then say see it from the protestors side.
There is no reason to say that police killing unarmed black people and the system not holding them accountable has to be measured with how the majority of police are hard working family people concerned with going home.
And he only does that hedging when speaking to a subject that is relating to black people.

They ALWAYS want black people to turn the other cheek. You saw how they put up the COONS after Charleston. They basically said, "Oh, it sucks that 9 people were killed, but we gonna have church this upcoming Sunday, and we'd like for the killer to attend again." GTFOH
And it ain't like Obama said, "I understand the pain that the Orlando victims went through after the shooting at the nightclub, but do you understand the pain that the shooter went through knowing gay shit was going on in his hometown?"
Or
"I understand the pain that the rape victim felt after she was raped by the Stanford student, but do you understand the pain that the rapist went through when he was caught and put in jail with other mean men?"
The military signed up for their service, black people didn't sign up to be oppressed, jailed and killed disproportionately. I don't recall the story of the Europeans who sailed to Africa with clipboards asking if anyone wanted to leave their homeland and everything they know to voluntarily "work" in subhuman conditions, get whipped, raped, chained, thrown overboard to sharks, mutilated, and treated worse than shit. Or was that the first season of Fear Factor?
