Question for the more tech savy among us about VPNs

As the title says, I have a question (well a couple of questions) about VPNs.
For the last month or so, my VPN has been telling me that I'm in Texas, Arizona, or Indiana.
There are a couple of 'academic journal review sites' :rolleyes: I visit, that 'my elected officials' in the above 3 mentioned states don't think I should be allowed to see.

Seeing as I don't live in any of those fucking states, I usually just turn the vpn off and move on with the rest of my day.
But I guess my question for members who do live in those states, what is your work around for such situations?
And WTF else can't y'all do? :lol::lol:

Anybody in Indy specifically? It's been a rough week out there. Lost your star player for a year, lost the finals, and now you can't even go do some academic research without jumping thru hoops.

Y'all elected these people?

I'm really interesting in what other basic everyday things that people aren't allowed to do in these states.
Are the liquor laws crazy too?

Texas here.

Liquor laws aren't too crazy for the South. You just can't buy spirits on Sunday from the store (only in a bar/restaurant). You can buy beer and wine from the store on Sunday tho.

They tried to ban THC again but our governor just vetoed it. Weed is still illegal, but (infused) THC is legal in certain quantities.

And yes, just set your VPN to whichever site you want. Don't allow it to auto-select a site.

The South has always confused me.
They ban porn, limit liquor sales, but you get probably get a gun from Walmart.
Don't make sense to me, but that's why I stay my black ass out the South :lol:
