thats precisely what Respawn did for Titanfall..then again they were like"why even bother to put a campaign when no one even plays it..?"
now games like Fallout 3/4,the Deus Ex series and Bioshock 1 and Infinite(2 had a wack MP mode IMO) and Wolfenstein The New Order seem to be the go-to titles for ppl who like campaigns/stories
Seems like its going to be horde mode with objectives.
IGN - 8.2Syndicate pushes back the cruft that has collected around Assassin's Creed for years
That's really Assassin's Creed Syndicate's biggest triumph: It pushes back against the collected cruft of eight years of releases and spinoffs, an imposing accumulation of mechanics and lore and expectations. Syndicate doesn't get everything right. It doesn't solve all of the series' problems, and at this point, I'm not sure if any one game could. However, it's the first step in a uniformly positive direction that the franchise has taken in years.

GamesRadar - 4/5For all of the familiar parts of Syndicate, it still feels inventive. It may draw inspiration from previous installments, but features like the zipline and revamped progression system demonstrate a willingness to cut stagnant elements loose. With a cool setting, memorable characters, and a wealth of content, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate has all of the hallmarks of a great Assassin’s Creed entry – but it also surprised me by challenging what I previously thought a great entry should be.

I'm picking up A.C Syndicate. Hope it doesn't get repetitive. Fighting dudes on the ground, scaling a building etc.

I'm trying to hold out, but that elite controller is calling me.
I bet this thing drops $20- $30 in November on slick deals, and CAG.
Missed a deal. The elite controller dropped to $128.24 - $135 at Target.
Now it's sold out![]()
Games like COD & battlefield are basically MP games. They will move copies without the SP campaign at this point. Popular titles like Halo & Gears are single player games that happens to have good to solid multiplayer.
Xbox One Elite Controller Unboxing
I might get this if I can get it for $99.
I think that ends today and is only for the 2 Halo themed controller or that white/black/gold accented controllerI could do a $100 because it's only $40 more than the standard controller. Gamestop is running a promotion where you can trade in a controller and get $35 credit.

Nah the trade in thing allows you to trade in an old controller and get a $35 dollar trade in credit towards the purchase of the new one. So you'd end up spending $35-$40 for a new oneThe white/black/gold controller is nice. Did you have a chance to hold it yet? It has a grainy textured back that makes it easier to grip the controller. I want it, but if I'm going to drop $60 bucks, I'd rather put it do Fallout or the new Tomb Raider.
dunno why EA wasted their time w/ BF Hardline..most of those servers like this now

Halo 5 offers some of the best multiplayer the series has ever seen
Halo 5 feels like it knows its obligations. The campaign's narrative is likely to prove controversial, though its biggest sin may be its familiarity. Otherwise, Halo 5 excels under the pressure, providing one of the most welcoming, competitive, balanced and fun games of the year — and providing my personal favorite Halo multiplayer since the series began.

There will certainly be some players who find that the specific omissions in Halo 5 are extremely disappointing, and you'll see a rough edge or two, but all in all there's a fantastic big-budget shooter in Halo 5 with lots to see and enough multiplayer options to keep you going for quite some time.

Destructoid - 7.0/10Halo 5: Guardians has delivered the robust, well-rounded experience that we have come to expect from the series. The core Halo combat comes through with a taut and exciting odyssey across spacious maps: it is the thread that keeps everything in tact. The assorted play modes are gratifying. The sound and visuals are top notch. If Microsoft follows through on its intent to hone in on eSports, Halo will continually polish and tweak its already stellar multiplayer experience. 343 Industries has been tasked with keeping the franchise relevant among a sea of shooters. They have delivered.

Escapist 4.5/5If it weren't for Warzone, Halo 5: Guardians would probably be somewhere on the lower end of the franchise spectrum for me. It's still a fantastic and well-oiled machine, but the story falls flat, and the shift in gameplay mechanics result in the loss of some elements that made the series so unique in the first place. Still, if you're looking to shoot some dudes online, Guardians is your huckleberry.

GamesRadarMultiplayer is really where 343 needed to prove themselves and regain some of that goodwill from Halo fans, which is fortunate, because multiplayer is where Halo 5 shines brightest. Forget everything you knew about Halo 4's multiplayer. 343 wisely went back to the drawing board and scrapped nearly everything about Halo 4's widely criticized multiplayer offerings.

US Gamer 4/5Halo 5: Guardians has some good parts, some bad and a lot of question marks that can’t be answered until the game comes out and is played by hundreds of thousands of players. We’ll have more about Halo 5 in the coming days, including a full review.

As a package, Halo 5: Guardians is a very solid offering. While the campaign mode has its ups and downs – and to be blunt, doesn't take particularly long to complete – it's nevertheless enjoyable, even if it can get a little relentless and repetitive at times. But its highs definitely outweigh its lows, and if you play it on the more challenging levels – and especially if you play it in co-op mode – it's entertaining enough.

And if 343 is moving in the right direction with the story, it’s already at the exact right place with Halo’s action. Halo 5 is a beautifully constructed, expertly designed shooter that puts the series right back at the top of its genre.
Don’t play Halo 5 for its story, then. Play Halo 5 because it’s technique — an absolute masterclass in how to craft a first-person shooter. Its best reason yet to own an Xbox One. For all its technical quirks and plot deficiencies, Halo is once again the best time you can have shooting aliens in the face.

Perhaps the most important thing to say about Halo 5's campaign is it's a substantial improvement on Halo 4's campaign, which I've always maintained was a decent first effort from a new developer still finding its feet. Halo 5's missions do not revolutionise the FPS genre, or even the Halo series, but they are a welcome return to form. For me, that's good enough.
