Xbox One Console Reviews

This is cheaper than the regular controller? WTF? I buy this goddamn system and every week since then, it's been non stop deals and discounts.

I agree. It feels like a slap in the face spending full price day one and now they are practically giving them away.

Fuck...What to do???

I have a 4K TV, but I don't play games as much as I used to.

And it seems if I trade in, I'll get maybe $150 for the system, meaning needing to shell out an extra $300

:dunno:

Might as well wait until the Scorpio comes out unless you have a need for a 4k streaming & movie device.

Since its a SmartTV, I get 4K streaming content already from Netflix.

I'm going to chill, cop the new PS4 they are about to announce soon, and just wait for Scorpio

same graphics not to sure about this one.theres no difference from the last game.
You really can't do much more graphically other than capturing player faces better. IMO they've done that. Melo face capture looks the best it has ever look. The historic players have always been off because they can't scan them. David Robinson, Pippen, Magic, and Ewing faces all look improved.

Microsoft Acquires Interactive Livestreaming Service Beam

Today, in a blog post on Microsoft News Center, it was announced that Microsoft has acquired Beam, an innovative and interactive livestreaming service that gives viewers the ability to watch and play along with their favorite game streamers in real-time. Beam has evolved game streaming from a passive, watch-and-chat experience into one with real-time participation by allowing the viewer to directly influence a streamer’s gameplay and live broadcast.

One of the best parts about Beam is that interactivity is easy for streamers to enable and customize, regardless of the game or platform. Beam is designed to work with any game, and will continue to offer broadcasts across all gaming platforms, just as it does today.

Beam remains committed to its mission of empowering users and streamers across platforms and will now be better positioned to grow and give more back to the community. “As part of the Xbox team, we’ll be able to scale faster than we’ve ever been able to before,” wrote Beam CEO Matt Salsamendi in a Beam blog post. “We’re expanding the team, bolstering our infrastructure, and, most importantly, continuing to grow the amazing community we’ve been lucky enough to build at Beam.”

Titanfall 2 Technical Test Dates Announced

titanfallmptt.jpg

Developer Respawn has announced the dates and content of its Open Multiplayer Technical Test for the title on PS4 and Xbox One.

During the test, players pilot two new titans (Ion and Scorch), use new abilities (grapple, holo point, and pulse blade), and use various weapons (dual-barrel SMG and a spread shotgun).

The test takes place across two weekends starting this Friday, August 19.

August 19 (text direct from Electronic Arts):

MODES

  • Bounty Hunt (5v5): A brand new mode that pits Pilots and their teammates against an opposing team as well as the Remnant Fleet. Earn bonuses by killing grunts and enemies, but make sure and deposit all your points at the bank between waves without getting killed.
  • Pilots vs. Pilots (8v8): Players can be the best Pilot on the Frontier and put their combat and mobility skills to the ultimate test in this classic 8 vs 8 Pilots only mode.
MAPS

  • Boomtown: A secret underground IMC facility where the latest in R&D is put to the test. In this facility Pilots can use the many peaked roofs to use as cover against combatants below. With tight lanes through the middle, Titans can also be easily ambushed.
  • Homestead: The IMC have claimed Imminent Domain on a small commune's plot of land. With a series of raised, rocky plateaus and a river running down the middle, Pilots are mostly safe from Titans among the rocks and trees but they also can duck into the caves and building when needed. However, the Titans control the large rolling fields.
August 26 (the previous weekend's content will also be available):

MODE

  • Amped Hardpoint (6v6): A new twist on Hardpoint Domination from the original game; now defending a Hardpoint will let you amp it, giving your team double score. Team work is the key to securing victory.
MAP

  • Forward Base Kodai: Militia forces have taken over an IMC substation and set up a forward operating base. Pilots can find safety from Titans in the hallways and chambers of the main building, while Titans can walk over the roof to get a better view of the action.
The technical test will not occur on PC.

Titanfall 2 comes out on October 28 on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
