Whovians!!!

yea when i heard the woman playing clara was leaving the show, i knew it was only a matter of time before she was axed. didn't expect it in this ep tho

most of the reviews of this episode imply that it was Clara's own fault she got herself merked..

.
And I never liked Danny Pink, but it was fucked up how they let him go out like that. I was under the impression that they were going to find a way to help him out this season.

Yeah i thought since they went to the future and saw that dude danny pink astronaut descendant that he was of clara and danny but i guess not

It was her own damn fault though, if she didnt do anything no one wouldve died. But she was trying to be reckless like the doctor without the supreme intelligence to back it up. She isnt the only clara out there though so if he misses her he can just get another one.

So tired of the Dr and his empty threats "I am the Doctor, you should be very afraid" gtfoh!!

The writers have made this Doctor question himself too much and he hasn't established himself like the other Doctors whether their personality is good or bad.

Rose and Martha all day every day.:):):)

Heaven sent was the best episode of the season so far hopefully the finally won't disappoint. The only thing I don't get is, if he didn't sacrifice himself to power up the teleporter would everything have still reset or would he have just died.

"Hell Bent" finale tightened up that Clara exit somewhat.
Kinda raised as many questions as it answered tho.

So Clara is a Time Lord now wtf..?

Arya kind of looked smashable in this ep  lol

Too bad Jenna Coleman wants to move on.
Clara+Ashidlr in a TARDIS would make for a much better spin-off series than anything with Jack Harkness in it.
It's cool though.
I'm a little pissed off about going back to the sonic screwdriver.
I thought the shades were kind of stupid, but i respected the show for sticking with it.

The two best lines of the episode:
"Get off my planet."

"Lord President, with respect...get off his planet."

For the first time since Capaldi took over I have finally seen "The Doctor" that over confident self righteous brilliant assine bastard that I grown to love so much. the series finale was beautifully well done and for for me the doctor is finally self aware once more, his resolve to go against all things to save clara is the doctor being the doctor anything less would have been unacceptable. now i sit waiting for the doctor to answer all things and questions as he always done with four little words
"well, I'm the Doctor."

Woah.

There is a lot going on in here. A LOT. I wanted to comment at the beginning of the season and throughout but when I realized that there would be two parters...I thought it best to wait until the end. Which was last night. So...can't hurt.

Let me start off by saying FUCK YOU MOFFAT. You finally found a way to wrap up Clara by not killing her and not truly addressing her real story, but yet, she is gone. Really?

That said I actually enjoyed this season. Much more than last season, (cause let's face it, Series 8's highlights was Missy), and I don't really have a lot of complaints this time around. The nod to Donna about wiping memories was a nice touch though I wish there was something else done to break it off between the two, (also we got to see the restaurant again from 11's convo with Rory and Amy when River busts in). I'm ok with the reminders...that's fine. But we actually got story this time around. Moffat does a good job with Sherlock but I guess that is because it's rooted in reality. DW isn't...reality. So to get those puzzle in there, (a la Bad Wolf), and he can't resolve them, has been a bummer. But this just straight story telling made for much more compelling television.

Speaking of stories, I have no problem with "Sleep No More". It introduced us to a new enemy, was kinda scary, and broke up the two parters. I don't really understand why everyone had such a problem with it. Yeah it was found footage, but it was new for DW, and the type of cliffhanger that is welcomed.

What else?
Ashildr. Loved her. I would love to get a couple of shorts in between seasons of her stalking the Doctor as Me. That would be awesome and also some sort of psychological/philosophical commentary on the world. Let's assume she take Clara back to her fixed time point - Ashildr has a TARDIS. I even think it would be nice to see her moving about as her older self. "The Girl who Died" and "The Woman Who Lived" are great. The second even more so because Clara wasn't there. Which is sad, but true. And up until the end of time, we don't know if Ashildr ever gave the chip to another person. Or something. Maybe that is something that would have happened on her adventures in the TARDIS. Long as she doesn't give it to Clara.

Missy is on the Doctor's bad side from the beginning of the season and we haven't seen her sense. I almost wish we had another scenario like we did the last time the Master tried to take over when we had the 10th and Martha (Saxon posters were everywhere) something that was nefarious but was a PLAUSIBLE shock at the end. The whole situation with Danny Pink...not plausible. Nefarious but not plausible. Missy needs a good plan before she regenerates on us.

To me probably the the weakest links of the series was the episodes with The Fisher King. That was just a little too neat for me. Slightly boring. But it was towards the beginning of the season so I'll forgive it since every episode after went up.

Now...on to things that piss be off. Where is Courtney? I haven't see a lot of info on "Class", the new spin-off about student at Coal Hill, but I hope that she is there. They were prepping her to maybe be Clara's replacement last season but when Colman changed her mind it threw shit off, (admit it, you can tell). I hope that she comes back in Class...perhaps this would be the chance for Ashildr to come back with the TARDIS as a way of taking care of Clara's students after she sends her back to the Raven. But it begs to question, who will be the next companion? And will Series 10 really be cut in half? Will the shorts come back like we had with 10 after Donna left? Answers are needed and I honestly think the Christmas special will provide none. Orphan Black needs to hurry up because this damn eight month wait between seasons be attacking the synapses.

they spent too much time trying to make the doctor seem cool and badass. The Doctor finally finds his way back to Gallifrey and no fucks is given, no friends, no family, no one to give a shit about? What a let down

Oh wait, I knew something was bothering me from before. If the Gallifrey that orchestrated the plot to trap the Doctor to learn about the Hybrid was close to the end of time, (because by the time he breaks free it's damn near there), that means they found a way to get unstuck in the painting. While being stuck.

How that happen?

Well, it is a planet full of super-intelligent immortals and they had 4.5 billion years plus unlimited time travel to figure it out.
***The painting was just a 3D painting in the end***

Gallifrey had already started breaking free from the pocket universe. In The Time of The Doctor, the time lords instantly opened a 2nd crack in time and space in order to send him his regeneration. If they can send things back and forth, no reason they can't break free after 4.5 billion years.

But HOW?

Will we ever get to see it? Obviously it has to do with them being scared of the Hybrid. I think both are connected. It just...wasn't addressed. I'm ok with that, we can revisit. But Moffat has a problem of introducing things and not coming back to them...

...so that worries me.

I dunno...
I can't see him writing it in a way that makes it interesting to watch.
But technically, Gallifrey had been slowly widening that "dimensional tear" at least since Ten regenerated into Eleven.
We just never got to see it open wide enough for a planet to come out.
Presumably, this happened while the Doctor was in the confession dial.

O rly?

I...kinda disagree. Kinda. I don't think Moffat could write it and make it interesting, but I think it would be nice to see some Gallifreian scenes, more so this piece here since it's introduced. I would like to honestly know why the Doctor took the TARDIS, (I wonder how that would be because the purpose of the first episodes were not science fiction), but I think a Gallifrey in turmoil make for much better story. I don't know how you would integrate it - I'm lying, I do - but I think it can be done with the right writer.

Go back and watch "The Time of The Doctor" Christmas special (Matt Smith's final appearance). He spots the crack in time where the Time Lords are trying to break thru and suddenly "remembers" its been there ever since he changed into Eleven from Ten.
Every bad guy in the universe showed up to try to stop the Time Lords from getting out.
They could have broken free right then, but they needed the Doctor to confirm that his side of the portal was in the right place. Which he couldn't do because all of Gallifrey's enemies were in orbit ready to open fire if they came thru.

The Christmas special never disappoints.

i was a little disappointed.I expected some good old fashioned fun, but River was acting more like Missy than herself.
But it was funny. At one point the doctor was looking at River like "I married a hoe."

Doctor Who Spinoff Class Coming to (BBC) America

Did you think that, like the S at the end of the word math, the Doctor Who spinoff Classwould not make the jump from Britain to America? You eedjot! (Translation: You thought wrong.) The forthcoming series, aimed at teens and set at the series' famousCoal Hill School, will air Stateside on BBC America later this year, the networkannounced today. (Imagine Degrassi, if instead of metaphorical monsters like Jay there were actual monsters.) The series is currently filming in Wales and will premiere on BBC Three; it's currently unknown how long a gap, if any, there will be between the show's U.K. and American airdates. That's not expected to be an issue, of course, because everyone knows teens don't know how to use computers.

I think it was time for Moffat to move on, but the show is delayed.

Writer Steven Moffat to leave Doctor Who

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-35388748

The head writer and executive producer of Doctor Who, Steven Moffat, is to step down from the show, the BBC has confirmed.

His last series will go out in spring 2017 following a Christmas special, after which he will be replaced by Broadchurch writer Chris Chibnall.

Moffat took over the reins on series five of the world's longest running sci-fi series in 2010.

BBC One's controller, Charlotte Moore, said Moffat was an "absolute genius".

In a statement, the BBC said he had been responsible for introducing the 11th and 12th Doctors - Matt Smith and Peter Capaldi - as well as two companions in Karen Gillan and Jenna Coleman.

Moffat said it took "a lot of gin and tonic" to talk Chibnall into taking up his new position.

"I am beyond delighted that one of the true stars of British television drama will be taking the Time Lord even further into the future," he said.

"At the start of season 11, Chris Chibnall will become the new showrunner of Doctor Who. And I will be thrown in a skip."

New worlds
Chibnall described Doctor Who as "the ultimate BBC programme - bold, unique, vastly entertaining, and adored all around the world".

He added: "So it's a privilege and a joy to be the next curator of this funny, scary and emotional family drama.

"I've loved Doctor Who since I was four years old, and I'm relishing the thought of working with the exceptional team at BBC Wales to create new characters, creatures and worlds for the Doctor to explore."

Ms Moore thanked Moffat "for everything he has given Doctor Who".

She said: "I've loved working with him, he is an absolute genius and has brought fans all over the world such joy.

"I will be very sad to see him leave the show but I can't wait to see what he will deliver in his last-ever series next year with a brand new companion."

Steven Moffat Is Leaving Doctor Who

Just like 11 Time Lords before him, Steven Moffat is leaving Doctor Who, to be replaced by another, slightly different British man. After six years at the helm, Moffat will step down as showrunner of the British sci-fi series at the end of its 2017 season, the BBC announced on Friday. (The only new Doctor Who between now and then will be a 2016 Christmas special.)

The official cause of Moffat's regeneration will not be radiation poisoning or a strange encounter on the planet Mondas, but rather his feeling that his "timey-wimey is running out." He will be replaced by Broadchurch's Chris Chibnall, who, true to form, looks a little bit like Moffat, but not too much.

Yo that's some straight bull shit. Anywhere else I can watch episodes online? I know about stream tv but the site had way too many pop ups and other issues.
