yea when i heard the woman playing clara was leaving the show, i knew it was only a matter of time before she was axed. didn't expect it in this ep tho
most of the reviews of this episode imply that it was Clara's own fault she got herself merked..

.
And I never liked Danny Pink, but it was fucked up how they let him go out like that. I was under the impression that they were going to find a way to help him out this season.
It was her own damn fault though, if she didnt do anything no one wouldve died. But she was trying to be reckless like the doctor without the supreme intelligence to back it up. She isnt the only clara out there though so if he misses her he can just get another one.most of the reviews of this episode imply that it was Clara's own fault she got herself merked..

Anybody catch that season finale preview?
I think they dropped a major hint about Clara.

"Hell Bent" finale tightened up that Clara exit somewhat.
Kinda raised as many questions as it answered tho.
So Clara is a Time Lord now wtf..?
Arya kind of looked smashable in this ep  lol
they spent too much time trying to make the doctor seem cool and badass. The Doctor finally finds his way back to Gallifrey and no fucks is given, no friends, no family, no one to give a shit about? What a let downToo bad Jenna Coleman wants to move on.
Clara+Ashidlr in a TARDIS would make for a much better spin-off series than anything with Jack Harkness in it.
It's cool though.
I'm a little pissed off about going back to the sonic screwdriver.
I thought the shades were kind of stupid, but i respected the show for sticking with it.
The two best lines of the episode:
"Get off my planet."
"Lord President, with respect...get off his planet."
Naw, she is a dead woman walking, eventually she will have to go back and let the raven kill her.So Clara is a Time Lord now wtf..?

Oh wait, I knew something was bothering me from before. If the Gallifrey that orchestrated the plot to trap the Doctor to learn about the Hybrid was close to the end of time, (because by the time he breaks free it's damn near there), that means they found a way to get unstuck in the painting. While being stuck.
How that happen?
Well, it is a planet full of super-intelligent immortals and they had 4.5 billion years plus unlimited time travel to figure it out.
***The painting was just a 3D painting in the end***
Gallifrey had already started breaking free from the pocket universe. In The Time of The Doctor, the time lords instantly opened a 2nd crack in time and space in order to send him his regeneration. If they can send things back and forth, no reason they can't break free after 4.5 billion years.
But HOW?
Will we ever get to see it? Obviously it has to do with them being scared of the Hybrid. I think both are connected. It just...wasn't addressed. I'm ok with that, we can revisit. But Moffat has a problem of introducing things and not coming back to them...
...so that worries me.

im sure everyone at their DW watch parties who saw this scene were likeafterwards

I dunno...
I can't see him writing it in a way that makes it interesting to watch.
But technically, Gallifrey had been slowly widening that "dimensional tear" at least since Ten regenerated into Eleven.
We just never got to see it open wide enough for a planet to come out.
Presumably, this happened while the Doctor was in the confession dial.
O rly?
I...kinda disagree. Kinda. I don't think Moffat could write it and make it interesting, but I think it would be nice to see some Gallifreian scenes, more so this piece here since it's introduced. I would like to honestly know why the Doctor took the TARDIS, (I wonder how that would be because the purpose of the first episodes were not science fiction), but I think a Gallifrey in turmoil make for much better story. I don't know how you would integrate it - I'm lying, I do - but I think it can be done with the right writer.
i was a little disappointed.I expected some good old fashioned fun, but River was acting more like Missy than herself. The Christmas special never disappoints.

Yo that's some straight bull shit. Anywhere else I can watch episodes online? I know about stream tv but the site had way too many pop ups and other issues.Doctor Who Is Not Coming Back to Netflix, Because It’ll Be on Amazon Prime
Doctor Who is returning to streaming in a different form. The long-running sci-fi showleft Netflix on February 1, and now Amazon has announced that it's picked up the exclusive North American rights to the modern Who. The first eight seasons of the show's 2005 incarnation will start streaming on Amazon Prime on March 27, with season nine arriving in the fall. The deal does not include classic Who, currently without a streaming home, which is just terrible news for all you #Pertweeacs.
