Now, it's official. Clara Oswald is leaving Doctor Who. She was probably the second best looking female companion of the Doctor. Martha is and will always be the best looking one.

But I agree her solo adventure was excellent
she was one of the ONLY companions I could have seen be a Doctor.
I liked that she wasn't REALLY ever romantically tied to him not a crush or nothing there were moments but I felt like they were equals.
I'm not up to date on the series like everyone else in here but I really liked Martha. She had a huge role in saving the world during the Master story arc. She had a larger role as a companion compared to Rose & Donna. I didn't like Donna at all. Donna was introduced as a annoying & brash character. Her multiple jobs working as a temp made a valuable asset to the Doctor.

Excellent companion, Starkiller was actually better but he was a free agent. Facially, close ups were not Rose's friend. She had a different sent of bumps, huge tumor like shits migrating to different sots on on her face, then they settled around her mouth. Ugghhhh. It was hard to watch because they never let her change clothes some episodes, even when they did they fit her funny. Oh and then she got older and side shot/profile angles revealed a cave man like overhanging forehead with creases resembling Barney or Moe from the Simpsons. Aside from all that she held the doctor down so strong even when the other companions teamed up she was still a stronger presence than them and their male counterparts combined. I watched every episode and hated when the other companions couldn't match up.
This new duo needs help, they may need to bring in another companion maybe go the Chappie route.
That was a really good episode. I could have seen her as a companion.Ok that was Kylie Minogue in that episode.

ruthless ass River added some life to an excellent season - she would pop up at the right time during a lull - they need to bring her back weekly until this iteration of the doctor/companion has run it's course.

I don't remember Starkiller, but I agree about Rose being a stronger companion. The current Doctor duo isn't as strong as David Tennant's companions. I think David Tennant is the best modern Doctor, and he helped to revive the Doctor Who series.. I didn't like it when he had to leave. I remember the episode about the library called Forest of the Dead.

I would be surprised if an American actor joined the show because a lot of people in the USA don't watch Doctor Who. When I bring up Doctor Who to most people, they don't know what I am talking about or they heard of the show, but have not watched it. It's really a niche series.

You get a sense (more so with 11 when it comes to NuWho) that he feels above the earthlings. He gets to show certain special ones the universe, but he has to protect the whole planet. The control of it all. But in the end Martha got to share some of that without the arrogance. OldWho was REALLY arrogant.

I don't know why they offed her. Loved Osgood. And since the museum curator is the 4th, though she was wearing a mashup of items, it wouldn't be far fetched to say she might be his granddaughter? *shrugs* Plot twist? I'm still waiting for the season when he deals with his family.

I saw the episode that you are referring to. I downloaded all of the Doctor Who episodes from the 3rd until the present. The first and second Doctors' episodes are not easy to obtain because of how old they are.

Yeah there are a few episodes here and there from 1 and 2...almost all of 2's footage was destroyed in a flood at BBC headquarters i belive.

In a sentence written by British Mad Libs, The Mirror reports that Doctor Who actress Jenna-Louise Coleman, rumored to be dating Prince Harry, is leaving the show after this year's Christmas special in order to play Queen Victoria in an ITV mini-series.
