Larry Legend is a beast.However, it's hard to gauge how good he was because of who he had with him. He basically was on a super squad.

1. Sure, one could easily put Shaq, Oscar, Larry, Wilt, Hakeem and others above him. I simply look at what he was able to do the past few years (stats, consistency, defense, playoffs) and see a Top 5 player.
2. I like the 80s like the rest of y'all but let's not act like that wasn't the age of super teams (haves and have nots) and starting white boy shooting guards wit little to no athleticism. The 80s were basically fast pace up and down scoring where games routinely went into the 120s (regulation). You did have a few defensive killer squads (Pistons, New York) but watch ESPN Classic...

I feel like 70- 80 players were more skilled and played with tougher rules then players of today..i just can't imagine bird or mj playing in an era where there is no hand checking..u can't tell me they wouldn't put up amazing #s..so to me you can't compare those guys and others to today's guys..it might be harder for the big greats of old, but the old perimeter players in this era..see what i like to do is imagine players in different bodies..so what would Larry do with lbj physical athleticism and what would lbj do with Larry's...i think one can get a better idea of measurements...

He didn't single-handedly beat GS but he was close to it... people are really underestimating leading all players in points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks. I don't think there should have been any doubts about his status of greatest SF of all time, but this Finals makes that a non-question at this point.
