Brother,

It was just luck. The investor was on a listserv I was on. He saw the sight he liked the content and said let's make this the next Huffington post. He said he was willing to drop up to 60k to make it happen.

But, my motivation to make the sight came from a lot of good folk on bgol and the help they lent me to get the website up.

I will probably be looking for a web designer consultant and a web media advisor who can run an ad server and do ad media sales.

PM me if interested.

Props - to the tech team and the diamonds posts they lay on this website.

Can't seem to find viable keywords. Everything is either taken or too much competition or low local searches/month.

Need ideas. I use all the tools too: SeNuke X, Traffic Travis, Market Samurai, and Google Keyword Took

There are always viable keyword you just need to know what to search for. It's all about "Micro niches". Niches inside of Niches. Try using Micro Niche Finder. Currently I use Market Samurai and Google Keyword Tool and they are just as good. Also sign up for the Warrior Forum. There is so much knowledge on there to soak up it's almost overwhelming. If you can, sign up and join the War Room too. People give away their products for free sometimes and they also release keyword lists. Just a couple days ago I downloaded a Massive list of over a thousand keywords. The great thing about Warriorforum is you can NETWORK. I'm writing an ebook/guidebook right now, which I will finally finish this weekend, and a guy I've been talking to who releases products in the same niche I'm releasing the product in said he would actually help me to market it which is a GREAT LOOK.

* How do I buy a domain name?

* How do I turn topics into exciting titles that people would want to read?
* How do I turn keywords into blog post outlines?
* How do I turn an outline into a full blog post?

Making money from blogging BEGINS AND ENDS with your target niche
You heard it right here, playa. If you pick the wrong niche target (niche that pays low) you either have to get a TON of traffic to make it worth your while OR you won't make ANY money.

The guide at http://www.exponentialcash.com/ steps you through how to find a niche BUT keep my advise in MIND. Read more below.

The key to finding the right niches are

Search volume--you have to find a niche that gets a GOOD amount of searches every. Forget a niche that pays $10 per click but there's only 2 searches on it daily

Number of advertisers -- you can't forget this. If there's only 1 advertiser, the bid prices (the amount of $ you will get paid) will drop. So the more people bidding, the better!

*Hit up Google's keyword selector tool and cross reference it with Spyfu. There's some fat niches out there

*Look at all the megaupload/fileshare/rapidshare links on forums and tube sites on the Alexa list of top 100 sites. That's your answer.
The porn game is dying fast IF your focus is generic stuff. If you're a microniche producer OR you use A LOT of tube traffic to upload web cams or experiences like adult dating, you should be good. The great thing about mainstream (non porn) is it is HUGE. the only limit is your imagination.

*basically, you want to "invest" some of that time and effort to something that PAYS YOU BACK. Use the 80 / 20 rule so you don't even FEEL that you're "working". Blog maybe 20 minutes per day and the rest you can just mess around. If you're consistent, you'd be amazed how much that 20 minutes pays off on the long run.

*ADSENSE HUSTLE TIP #2
Blend your ads. Make the leader board ads look close enough to navigation links or "internal" links BUT WITH ENOUGH DIFFERENCE that you don't get banned
As for the big rectangular blocks--left align them to your first post so you get more clicks. The tutorial lists a KILLER theme that gets clicks but I have a custom one built around my traffic's clicking patterns

* Hit up Google's keyword selector tool and cross reference it with Spyfu. There's some fat niches out there.. SeNuke X, Traffic Travis, Market Samurai, and Google Keyword… backlinks, linkexchanges

*is there still $$? depends on the niche i guess. trying to do a one size fits all site with stolen studio content is prolly dead at this point without goin thru some serious and expensive measures to protect yoursself.

YOu don't even have to be logged into to google
to use it https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

*If your niche's users are more about BRANDING, I'd go with the catchy domain name.

*If your niche is geared towards people who SEARCH for key terms, use the keyword domain

*if someone is making money online do they have to be concerned about reporting any monies made to uncle sam?
any payment processing company u use will send u a W4, 1099 and I9.

break down how to get a camsite crackin
Camsites make money but its probably too expensive to start one on your own. It's probably better to just get a WHITELABEL solution (ie., you come up with your own logo etc but content is provided by a cam company). I'm not sure if some offer a program where you can cherry pick models so you can have models that only fit your site's theme.

how will the microniche work with a tube site?
As for microniching for tube sites, you can run searches on free sites like xvideos.com that allow for embedding and find only videos that meet your niche. you tag these video's pages on your site with your microniche keywords and backlink accordingly.

PORN webmaster work, there's still Money to be made in that game IF you make your money through PAY PER DOWNLOAD programs. Here's an example: depositfiles.com pays up to $30 per 1000 downloads. http://depositfiles.com/en/earn.html
You basically put downloadable files all over the web and if people download, you get paid per 1000 unique downloads.

advice on how to get traffic to your blog?
There's 2 types
1) Passive traffic - shit that you set and forget and it works on its own
For passive traffic, read http://stepbystepdirections.com/tutorial/makemoneyblogging/ and focus on the keywords parts and write your posts accordingly. Also, make sure you install the SEO plugin and follow it to the letter

2) Active traffic - shit that needs more action for you to get results
For active traffic, use your EMAIL SIGNATURE line or FORUM SIGNATURE LINE. Everytime you send an email or post a forum response, you leave a link to your blog which translates to some additional traffic.

here's a link on how to create an email signature
http://www.ehow.com/how_2070012_make-email-signature-yahoo-mail.html

Search around for other email platforms…..Example of some sites that make paper through all of these means, just to show me what my final well ran product should look like.

Forexonlinelearning.com
#1 - uses keyword driven traffic pages

#2 - well-written and informative materials

#3 - very viral / people send this to friends

#4 - Forex niche pays FAT - around $8.45 per top click (varies though)

#5 - Runs a mix of money ads between Adsense and forex affiliate marketing (run by fxcash dot com)

Bum marketing no longer works in the CLASSIC way (classic way = submit the same articles to a ton of article sites and get money)
Why? Google cracked down on duplicate content and many article sites don't allow affiliate link outs
Here's the solution
Make differing versions of the articles you'll be using
AND
Submit only to article sites that allow affiliate links like goarticles.com

Craigslist is good if you have a VPA and you post legit ads

On GoDaddy.com, what is the difference between their "web hosting" and "WordPress hosting"?
Wordpress hosting comes with WP installation ….With web hosting, installing scripts is not in the contract so it might cost less

To prevent content theft, this is what you do
Go to copyscape and enter your blog posts URL
If there are copies reported, go whois.sc and find the HOST for that blog
Send an email to host admin PROVING that your blog post is original you own the rights to take down the infringing pages.

getting more traffic to my blog and I want to figure out how to attach keywords to my blog that Google acknowldges.
Are you using 3% - 5% keyword density in your articles? Basically, the norm is usually around 3%. So for a keyword density of 3% on a 500 word article you would need to strategically place your keyword 15 times within the article. Also try using some anchor links in your articles.

List building is key. People give you PERMISSION to market to them

Building a list
It may not seem like much, but you can ask people to sign up for a newsletter, or for a free offer or whatever to get their email address. Once you have a good list going, you can sell to them at will going forward without much cost. Icontact and a few others give free trials up to a certain sized list. After that there is a monthly cost, but it's free to get started. Just sign up and put the signup for on your website or blog. Give them good info for the first couple of days then hit them with how great your product you get commission on is. You can do this over and over. Even give them copied articles. Icontact takes care of the required legal stuff you have to do (opt-in, way to unsubscribe...etc) you just fill in your website details.

Videos
Make a video promoting your website and post on youtube and other video sites. You don't even have to do it yourself (I prefer a woman's voice to use anyway). Just write up a script, have your actress read it while you record it. Add some appropriate screenshots according to the script and brand it with your website address. Post some on video sites and a few on your blog. Free traffic and theory is, eventhough alot of video sites are nofollow, that Google likes to see videos on your blog and gives you better search ratings.

You should move to wordpress ASAP. Why?
1) Control over your site -- you own the site not Google

2) More Plugins to boost your site's ability to get traffic

3) More control over the ads and content you can put on your blog

4) Easier to sell

bloggers outsource for blog writing, marketing your blogs etc..
I outsource my filler materials to these guys. ….
http://www.webmasterlabor.com/
For "anchor posts" I write my own stuff.

Do you know if Google takes a cut of adsense revenue generated from Blogger?
Since Google owns adsense, google takes a % from all adsense ad clicks. They sell the ads through adwords. So if an advertiser pays $1 per click, the whole $1 doesnt go to the publisher (you)

strategy for getting the interest of investors?
Try looking for startup forums and communities online. Linkedin also has VC subforums

Do you have more success with picture ads or text ads?
Actually I use both types

The key here is to be CONSISTENT. post 1 entry daily. Also, devote 30 minutes to promoting your blog.

I'm guilty of not using what I know to drive traffic better cuz I have found some other ways to drive revenue but no matter what u do, if u know how to bring targeted traffic to a website, u will be invaluable to the people u work with.

i work in a area where everybody and their grandma is up on the internet. we are oversaturated with people that do this for a living. for yall that live in areas where that shit aint so mainstream, u can really kick ass helping people and businesses.

if u show a dentist how u can help him book just 2 more appointments a month and each appointment nets him an additional $1000 or more, u think he is gonna have a problem with u charging him a healthy ass monthly retainer to keep doing what u do?

sorry... lil offtopic from the blog thing.

I see nothing but a godaddy frontpage.....

How the fuck were you able to attract an investor? I run www.MrNoGood.com and I get tens of thousands of downloads a week of my podcasts...Nobody has offered me SHIT......I have a few celebrities that follow me but they obviously don't know anybody worth a shit....The only thing I've been able to do is get the site to pay my rent.....But I should be making a living off that shit for real cause I put out some quality.

Anybody wanna give me 30k just to re-design my page, just hit me up....The money is in itunes, stitcher, rss, etc. type downloads and how to make premium content to be sold on my site, which is well worth it by the way.

So if any of y'all in here aren't up on Mr. No Good yet, you better get on board cause I ain't stopping for nothing. I WILL eventually get paid somehow off just running my mouth...I won't quit.

www.MrNoGood.com niggas!

Re: Unemployed? Tired of McJobs? How to Blog For Money -- a Step by Step Tutorial (p

This is a really good thread. I just started blogging a few months ago to promote my businesses and brand myself. I use the Empower Network Word Press blogging platform. I chose this because I am new to blogging and it was very easy to use. I didn't need to learn Word Press, develop a website, ranking my blog, blog hosting, or anything like that. It was basically a blog in a box. Took me all of 20 minutes to get out my first blog post.

One more thing that made me choose the Empower Network blogging platform was the Empower Network Domain that your blog is hosted on. Its an authority domain which means it gets a lot of traffic and ranks easier on all the search engines. As of this morning, Alexa.com ranked EmpowerNetwork.com the #260 site in the US and the #463 site visited in the world. That's out of the hundreds of millions of websites that are out there.

EN_zps9f2f7770.png

In only a couple of months, I have been able to generate $2690 in one of my opportunities just from the traffic that comes from my Empower Network blog.

Banners_zpsd3eb86d1.png

Cost me $25 a month for the EN blogging platform. Plus I can make 100% commissions from the EN products I sell. As a marketer, I am lovin it.

PM me if you have any questions about it. Happy to help any of the BGOL family out.
