Uber self-driving vehicle hits, kills pedestrian in Arizona

Explain to me how auto pilot taxis into a gate and out of a gate wit a single engine running that the pilot has to control at all times?

The first officer will never in “turn” the auto pilot on while on the ground.

Man you know what I meant lol

Of course it doesn’t react to ATC.. however aircraft can take off and land on auto pilot

That’s all I’m saying, pilots still need to follow ATC directions in controlled airspace
only in perfect conditions
too many variables and it isn't cost effective yet to outfit a jumbo with all the sensors required for computers to react to all conditions
Yeah everything is currently fly by wire and computer assisted but I've yet to talk to a pilot willing to trust takeoff and landing to automation

And there isn't traffic control or a collision avoidance network / system

Dumb ass nigga not knowing a pilot gatta fly for 25+ years to even his or hers hands on a 757 or better

Let alone a international trip.

Fucking hilarious

Shut the fuck up dumb nigga who said auto pilot taxing to the gate?

When the pilot taxi to the runway and line up he can set it to auto pilot and when the pilot get clearance to take off the pilot will just set the speed and go..

Same with land, once the plane lock on to the localizer autopilot will guide the plane right in.. how u thing pilots land in heavy fog on low visibility in bad weather

Who u think you talking to nigga

NIGGA WHO U THINK U TALKING TOO

U FUCKING SCAN ID BADGES AND LOOK AT A COMPUTER ALL DAY.

No pilot uses auto pilot on the approach or Takeoff

U said the pilot can use auto pilot to take off

It has to FUCKING TAXI TO THE RUNWAY and get clearance.

I fuck a ATC and I know what the produces are.

Humble yourself all The way nigga

Niggas drive jeeps and think they know shit

No doubt here’s a pilot who fly PJs watch from the 40 sec Mark but if you want to skip in between go to the 9:45 mark when he’s on final approach it’s in auto pilot.. He’s flying solo and in a twin engine jet

So pilots don’t use auto pilot when the field is IFR? If you maintained you know wtf that means.. Stop acting like I wasn’t on the AOA driving on the taxi ways and crossing the runway when I needed to get to the other side of it... clown

Nigga u know I know everything

My badge is upcoming for renewal so U know what that means.

I drive on the AOA too! U drive jeeps nigga keep calm. U be in the way while we be working.

Condolences to the Family of the Woman who died.

Did anyone notice that "She walked outside of the cross-walk"?

Not saying this should cost you your life but, she fucked up, she lost. I bet the last think she thought before cashing it in was, "I should have crossed in the cross-walk".

:dunno::dunno:

Nigga did u just post a baby ass crj and we talking about 737-300s

Go commit that please

Aye clown nigga that’s not a CRJ, you suppose to be in maintaince and can’t even tell what type of aircraft you looking at by sight..

That’s a Cessna citation excel twin jet...

Go do some home work nigga

exactly
these dudes are trying to act like the car was acting erratically(and i still wonder what the driver was doing in the car)
but they will have to improve the tech to deal with dumb ass humans who like to walk in front of moving cars

I'll Just leave this here. And its a current image. Niggas acting there is 2 planes in the sky or mountains are in the way while 99.5% of these mofos are on autopilot right now.

nah man... not happening

on take off both pilots are looking for any trouble who ever is flying is looking for any reason to abort
pilot assisting is monitoring last chance according to the specific runway and plane's current load weight
V1 is almost last chance V2 is absolute last chance (sometimes this point is reached after rotation)
After they know they have positive rate and retract gear - they switch over from ground control to atc that will clear their planned ascent or give new directions... that's when they might go to auto

as for landing - the pilot lines up on ils for an instrument landing most times atc already has them on the glide path- they set auto pilot to help maintain air speed & rate of descent via trim n throttle, but the pilots are controlling flaps and gear.
Long before they reach the outer marker autopilot is disengaged and one of the pilots will have control of the plane...

With fly by wire the computer does most of the work always but its following the pilot's reactions

I did t look at video

I just seen. U say PJ, I’m saying u posted a small ass plane with like 7 passengers and 4 bags

Now bring up the amoun

The fact that if so inclined, I could probably count the number of planes... Proves my point. In every major city youll have this many if not more vehicles all crammed into a smaller space during rush hour, along with other hazards, variables, and random shit happening... The two are not comparable, regardless of how hard you try.

Dude there are thousands of planes in the sky when you fly. Hundreds in the area of the plane you're in (exactly like driving). And guess what those planes are mainly flown by cpu
Exactly like driving? Last time I checked, a car can't elevate or descend a few 1000 feet creating an entirely new air space. I'm just saying.

too bad - I guess autonomous driving just won't work in NYC... or any where that kids might play in the street

I can count all those planes

Count these cars and the ones u don’t ‘see’

:giggle:
here is a nice intro to atc
https://science.howstuffworks.com/transport/flight/modern/air-traffic-control.htm

when you finish that, we can get into flight plan filing and then we'll talk about what auto pilot is and isn't
1st please post a more authetic link

Dude youre talking in circles when your points have been debunked hours ago.
The hazards are all human. Autonomous driving removes those hazards

oh we we're so literal eh?
