Tulsa King - New Series Starring Sylvester Stallone On Paramount+

:roflmao: Yeah, that part was hilarious. When he went running to Mob for help cause the Triads are some brutal mofos!!

I see what you're saying about Tyson for sure, just wish his character was a bit cooler at times, but I get it.

I give them credit that would have been the lazy stereotypical way to do it like it's always done

Besides Bgol ?

Every Blackman isn't a cross between Wesley Idris Eddie Prince Jim Brown Ali and Denzel

There are MANY MANY more guys like Tyson in Oklahoma

And making him an over night gangster is a horrible message.

Tyson is a black man who feels. Guilt Anger Hurt Pride all of it. We actually need more of that on screen

And to be fair Tyson is MUCH cooler now than when we first met him.

@Deezz is ready to risk it all for Double D - Dana Delany, lol.

Agree with all of this.

He's just a young dude trying to find his way. You will definitely go through all those emotions. Now either tighten up or get out of that life...lol.

I was surprised that Tyson's father accepted the car as a gift. I know they needed it for the storyline cause they needed to blow it up, but Tyson's father was so against his son's lifestyle.

Very entertaining show.

I believe he did that as a peace offering. And he thought he could use this olive branch to pull his son BACK to him.

It's been a pretty good 2nd season.

Hopefully they use Frank Grillo more in these last 2 episodes ... as he always brings a good intensity to his scenes, and all past projects.

The funniest moments of banter on the show are amongst the staff at the Higher Plane shop.

I like how the show moves the pieces along in the story ... and I don't mind the storyline / character arc for Armand. He's been able to show off his acting chops more in recent episodes, and like most people - I haven't followed his career too closely over the years. He's still best known for being Doogie Howser's best friend 30 - 35+ years ago, but dude can definitely act. He was convincing in portraying desperate ...

Vacation approved for the week of Thanksgiving.

Gonna sit on the couch and binge all the episodes back to back in front of the Big Screen in the living room.

Will give my review when done.

What in the entire f**k happened?

I knew EXACTLY what was going to happen when and how.

Yet I actually enjoyed these absurd gangster shenanigans.

But my head still hurts.

Bro he BEEN on this bullsh*t so is Frasier from Cheers.

I don't even know what to say except f**k them and either we boycott the shows or boycott the actor when they inevitably try to come back copping pleas.

Season 2
10 Episodes

I started this season this morning at home on Paramount+ and finished this evening.

It picks up immediately after the events of season one with Dwight getting arrested by the Feds.

Frank Grillo debuts early, he is the boss of the Kansas City mob.

Tyson still going on with big dreams of being a “Gangster”, got his wake up call about the Life with what happened with his Old Man.

Overall, decent season and played out with a good pace.

Definitely looking forward to what the Government wants with Dwight. It looks like they gonna have him go “Black Ops” and do dirty work.

Looking forward to the next season.

It's an enjoyable brainless watch which became part if my Sunday routine. Stallone personal sh*t may effect my enjoyment moving forward.

I think this show is already in jump the shark mode. If they really do some spy sh*t. I could see it because he Essentially messed with a powerful Chinese drug lord on US soil and runs weed in almost the whole state creating a hub. I hope they can pull it off.

But all that being said? I'll probably watch since I already invested time but wouldn't cry if it got canceled.

Oh and f**k you Sly.

It’s “Mindless Entertainment” for Real Men.

No different than those corny “Real Housewives” shows are for women.

It ain’t a documentary and it’s not based on anything. It follows the old formula of what TV series we’re back in the day like “Dallas”, “The A-Team” and “21 Jump Street”.

I suspect Dwight is needed to go against the Cartels in Mexico.

Also, Vince mentioned how the NY mob was losing ground to the Albanian’s. The Government might need Dwight’s skills to take them on.

Hopefully Frank Grillo stays on cuz Dwight is gonna need him.

I was hoping for more of him this current season.

He always brings great intensity to his scenes, and is believable with the action / fight scenes given his background.

That reminds me ... I need to finish that fight docuseries he had from a handful of years back. I liked what I saw (caught 2 - 3 episodes) when I watched in 2018 or so.

Please don't misunderstand

I labeled testosterone soaps first up in here

From the Shield to SOA to the Sheridan verse it's all just jacked up soaps

With varying degrees of absurd silly crazy and wtf

Tulsa is in on the very absurd side especially with plot acting and characters

and as you can read from the posts I was a huge supporter of the show for what it was/is

There was no surprise at all any point

Which doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it.

But I feel like we reaching the conclusion and especially when I don't like the lead in real live makes it difficult. So I'm pissed Sly f*cked up my favorite guilty pleasure on Sundays.
