I've been on BGOL for over 20 years since the days of on probation (remember that?)
I got a job at Cuyahoga Community College and surfed porn after I was done with my work. I found On Probation, but some of the folks mentioned BGOL and that it was poppin over there.
Been here ever since and On Probation went away (does anyone know when?)
BGOL is the one site I check daily. Michael Jackson's death was posted here first among so much other Breaking News stories.
On here I can laugh to the point of tears, get witty banter, jokes, see folks get clowned. Learn new shit, but the one thing I tell folks about this site is the following story:
The Help
Some poster(don't remember who) came on saying he needed our help. His baby mom left the state with his kid and said don't look for her.
He said he didn't abuse her or anything, just came home to a note and came to us.
Now, in true BGOL fashion, some folks clowned. "Maybe if you were in better control of your bitch..." But someone, I believe it was @LordSinister but don't quote me, but someone said:
Look man. My baby moms tried the same shit X years ago.Do what I tell you and don't sway. Trust me
1. Get a lawyer
2. When she calls, and she is going to call, don't ask or beg her to come back. Ask if she or your kid need anything. Any money. That's it. It is going to be hard to resist, but don't ask or beg her to come home
There were more instructions I don't recall
Like 8 months later that dude came on the board and said a thank you to all those who helped and a special thanks to certain people, but because of the stunt his baby moms pulled he got full custody of his kid
The Support & Encouragement
But the thing that keeps me here are some of the people. I've loved to write since I was a kid, but a BGOL writing contest and encouragement from @dbluesun (1st comment) and @sakinnuso (2nd comment) among others showed me I could do it for real and got me writing more. I didn't get much Encouragement from family growing up so these comments still make me smile to this day.
I appreciate you both for those words

I also found out that I was in the Navy with and worked with @ansatsusha_gouki father (U.A. Sr.) in SPD before i got promoted out of the department. He retired from my job several years ago. How is your old man, bruh.

I was a member of a number of Yahoo! Groups, and later on Google groups with Reubzilla. He used to migrate some content from here and always had the hottest shit to post among other posters in the groups.
He NEVER mentioned the board at all no matter how many times I or others would ask for sources of his content. All of this was prior to Y2K now that I think about it but I was JUST getting online myself.
It was around 02 or 03 that Reub had dropped a post and I managed to backdoor my way to BGOL through a search. It was the most random shit.
Once I found the board, I lurked for the longest time when I DID visit the board. I don't think I actually joined until 05 or 06 because I was so active in the Yahoo groups.
The rest is history and I've been in this virtual barbershop/diner/Geek Squad/shrink's couch ever since.
Wouldn't trade it for the world either.

On Sprint Canada dial-up searching XXX on Yahoo or something similar way back in 1997. Happened across BGOL / Online-Video. Been here since the 30- or 60-second MPEG sample clips and the RealPlayer days.

There was a big board wars between the two message boards with mofos accusing each other of stealing shit and reposting it on each other boards.
The funny thing was the mofos were arguing over stolen porn they were posting.
