I need to take my ass to sleep but I'm procrastinating. Eh. Might take a snack and call it a night. Might... Shouldn't you be sleep too?
Good morning everyone. Your man from London reporting for duty
What's up MCP!!!
It' still fairly early, but I'm checking in. Right now, I'm about to watch LeBron and Kobe play. I'm also starting to get excited about seeing a black man be sworn in as President of the US tomorrow. It just really hit me, that we're about to witness something that most of us probably never thought we would see. I'm almost 29, so I'm still pretty young, but I'm so glad I will be able to see this. Barack getting elected made me appreciate seeing it in my own life, abut it really made me think about our elders, the folks my parents age and older, who went through all the bullshit. I feel proud and happy for them to see this. I also thought/think about the young people who in their early lives will be able to see this. Wow...This is truly a great moment. Much love, and blessings to brotha Barack and all those around him. I hope God blesses them with all the tools they'll need to be successful leaders for our country and for the world as a whole...
I know this is important and I am glad that I am alive to see a Black, (as Black as he is), president for this country. I think it MIGHT be the thing we need to change some of the policies both domestic and foreign that are a negative blight for this country.
However, I just don't see the actual inauguration as that big of a deal. Maybe it's because the news and television is hyping it up so damn much, I don't know. I just feel as if there are more important things that I am concerned with at the moment. As for Obama, I am more concerned with what will happen on January 21st. And after. As long as the ceremony gets pulled off without a hitch I'm good.
How many jobs did he say he was going to create? I'll be looking forward to that. Don't know if that makes me selfish or not...just my two cents.
Tomorrow is a special day. One, that will be remembered forever.
I'm glad I'm alive to witness it.
Insomnia!!!

I think the most important thing to remember is that things will not change/improve over night. Barack and his staff will have to do allot to fix the things Bush and his peeps messed up in addition to trying to get the ball rolling on their own agenda. That's going to be tough. I think it's also important for all of us (especially black folks) to step our game up and make certain changes locally. We can't expect Barack and his crew to make things better by waving a magic wand. It will be a group effort. Like they say, it takes a village to raise a child, so in this case it will take an village (the entire country) to fix our problems and get this country and world in a much better place. Barack is just a catalyst for that change in attitude and effort...
I have it too, just try not to lose any sleep over it.![]()
I'm feeling hungry.
