***The Official Laker's vs Rocket's Thread

Re: Rocket's Thread

i feel you I don't pay much attention to dude he may just be regurgitating shit he sees on tv and peppering it with stats. Anybody who calls kobe "tobe" or the lakers the "fakers" everytime is a certified hater period i prob shouldn't even respond but dude doesn't want any with me. notice he didn't respond to my comment of his comment yet he responded to all the dudes who don't know the game. fact of the matter is he's gonna be salty as fuck when the lakers win the title at the end of the season.

Like i said get him in a realtime discussion during the game and he will fold everytime:yes::yes:

pretty much the sad this is his location says california. he's prob one of those transplant dudes who love california lifestyle but are salty they didn't grow up here. So as a result they hate on everything west coast while enjoying our beaches and beautiful women. they are a sick bunch , sometimes i wish states had personality tests b4 they allowed people live there.

Re: Rocket's Thread

still dodging, i see.

YOU made the claim in Q4 that other fakers shot poorly at 9:13 p.m.

when i called you on it 5 minutes later, you tried to backtrack and say you wrote it earlier.

still doing it now. pathetic.

so i'll ask it again. what other fakers were shooting poorly in Q4, like you stated in your post?

:smh::smh::smh:

this is the complete back and forth that is in post #934 now tell me where you got that other stuff and this latest stuff from

simply awesome is right. 30 pts on 28 FGAs. 39% shooting.

way better than both pau gasol or lamar odom.

yup.

So now can any of you tell me was this because of monopolizing the ball or as the best player on the team do what he should do when the whole team is shooting bad?

Rocket's Thread

a mother's day gift for you, ladyganjaqu---, i mean pookie.

remember this on the SPORTS board during the NBA finals last year?

Pierce almost single handedly won the game for the Celtics, if you got a man that has scored 38 points (most on drives to the hole) and assisted on about 16 others then him having the ball in his hands is the only logical decision

no, getting the ball in his hands is the only logical decision.

since you probably aren't aware, let me fill you in on a couple things.

paul pierce was the celtics team leader in TOs this season. almost DOUBLE the amount of the next man. not really a good look for coach rivers having paul pierce take over the ball handling responsibilities.

paul pierce has been in the league 10 years. 5 of those he was in the NBA'S TOP TEN in TOs . putting the ball in his hands as a ball handler is placing your team in a precarious position.

this is the SAME decision (mistake?) coach rivers faced in the cleveland series. coach rivers lost faith in rajan rondo's ability to perform in that series, so he went with ray allen. this series, coach rivers lost faith in rajan rondo's ability to perform and he has tapped paul pierce.

paul pierce has been having his way (in terms of scoring) most of the series against the fakers. so i would want the ball in his hands FOR SCORING, but NOT ball handling.

He had the ball in his hands for the sole purpose of scoring, Doc Rivers didn't tap him to setup the offense he tapped him to be the offense

what was his role on the floor and where was he when he got ripped?

EDIT: more specifically, for the last 3 minutes of G5, who brought the ball across half court for the celtics?

His role was scorer, he was behind the 3 point line the same place he had the ball on 90% of the drives to the hole he had. You had to have recorded the game just looked over it to "know" that Pierce brought the ball up everytime the last 3 minutes but since i'm almost sure i saw Cassel, Rondo and House bring the ball up some i'm gonna say you full of shit

but you watched the game, right?

you saw rajan rondo in the game to handle the ball in the last 3 minutes of G5?

you saw eddie house bring the ball up over half court?

yeah, you watch the game.

yeah. proof positive as to why you have zero credibility in any basketball discussion.

sam cassell, rajan rondo, james posey never brought the ball past half court in the last 3 minutes of Q4 in G5.

once again, i'm talking fact while you spew fiction.

but you claim to watch games.

ain't nothing changed, pikest---, i mean pookie.

5 minutes after you, and 6 posts after you, i wrote this in post #940.

the whole team shot poorly?

really?

aside from sasha vujacic, who else really shot the ball poorly tonight for the fakers?

share.

you cats are pure comedy.

so again. how many times you gonna dodge a simple question?

oh that's right. pretending i never wrote it helps you cope.

dude can't even acknowledge somebody went 6-22 FGAs in Q2, Q3 and Q4.

Re: Rocket's Thread

i notice ur hater ass hasn't responded to me

you haven't said anything of consequence. you and pookie patting yourselves on the back is pretty humorous though.

you said i jumped in the conversation, but you were the 1 who inserted yourself into my question to TP2001.

:smh:

i wrote that the WORSTern conference owns the bottom bracket in the NBA in terms of brand of basketball played. your reply claimed the statistics were "fake".

then you decided you needed attention, so wrote another reply backtracking and qualifying your earlier remarks. you want to keep believing WORSTern teams are better, go ahead, little man. everybody's got a fantasy, i guess.

Brian Cook is busy towel drying his uniform right now. He will be here to gloat in a little while.

:lol::lol:

@ your sig!

Damn, man...I watch the game at the beginning, leave to take care of some shit for almost 2 hours, come back and see the Lakers losing by a grip. I just went :smh:. Not to mention that LO got hurt and that just made me :smh: even more.

That's aight though. Lakers will get it together tonight and tomorrow and win the next two games back here in LA and back in HOU. Phil will make his adjustments and everyone will get their heads back in the game on Tuesday.

ur such a lame , u know honestly i gotta say I love the internet. When i was in college i used to post here a lot cause i was trying to avoid doing my papers. since i've graduated though i've kinda slowed down cause i've actually been out living life. once the 15th hits i'll be outta her but i gotta say BGOL has been fun and it's taught me some things. particularly that no matter what you do somebody will not like you. maybe for a real reason or maybe just because they don't like the look of your face. either way in a few years i'll be sitting courtside at laker games while you'll still be bitching on the internet. when that happens i'll be sure to wear a BGOL shirt one game as a send up to you hater ass internet niggas. Anybody who knows anything about basketball knows the west is better so there is no use in trying to prove the truth to somebody who refuses to see it. however like i said i use your type of foolishness as a reminder in my personal life. i'm going down an interesting road in my life that may lead me to certain things and as i go down this road i notice all these people who have helped me along the way. my mother , my father , my friends all these people and way at the bottom is you and your kind so thank you for this great lesson in life: no matter what you do or what you say sometimes some folks are just born bitches and will always behave as such.

lol naw im done for real , what i said has nothing to do with basketball. i'm done talking to him about that. i'm a humble dude and in life when people help me come to realization i thank them. i'm doing some big stuff in my life that may lead to a bunch of people like him having the type of opinions he has about the lakers about my work. im not gonna be on this site after the 15th so i've been coming here lately to get my last little bit in and today i realized something about the internet. I already knew it but it really sunk in when chopping it up with these laker haters. there are a lot of jealous folk out there who want you to fail for nothing more than to co-sign their bruised ego. i'ma true basketball fan , i think of it as jazz and a well played basketball game is one of the best things on the planet to me. when the lakers are on they are magic (no pun intended) same goes for lebron and his team. how anybody who loves the game could look at that and find ugliness in that beauty boggles my mind, yet this dude finds a way. why... cause he's a hater and they exist particularly on the internet where you don't have the responsibility for your words you have in person. i was just thanking him for the gift of knowledge he inadvertently shared with me. i'm done chopping it up with him about sports cause dude is obviously was a 4 year JV letterman

stonewalling instead of answering the question. dodging instead of backing up your statement.

stay on point.

who are the other fakers you were referring to when you wrote that the rest of the team was shooting badly?

ok then.

I said the team was shooting badly, their shooting stat since that's what u like was 36 for 82 do you consider that good or bad?

Gasol 4-11
Bryant 11-28
Farmar 3-7
Walton2-6
Vuijac 1-6
Powell 0-2

Where is Igizzle??? :lol::lol::lol:

I can't even hate on Kobe today... that had to be one of the biggest disappearing acts I've ever seen?

Kobe just gave up and decided not to even fucking try to win the game after the 1st half? 2 points in the 2nd half??

So what if your down 20 points? Shit, Celtics were down by more in game 1 and made a huge run to try to almost win?

Only players I saw that were trying to play hard at the end were Brow, Farmar, and Gasol.

Re: Rocket's Thread

As a Laker's fan, I gotta say they played bad......they were too focused on one player, while forgetting the other. Defense was shitty.

The Lakers need heart and that killer instinct.
Without that, guaranteed no championship.

you're a sharp m.f., SVT.

you're a shrewd m.f., and i hope cats don't underestimate you.

i mean, you found some great similarities by bringing up the 2005-06 playoffs game 7.

like how the rockets were down 2-1 in the series and tied it, much like the suns were down 3-1 in that series and tied it?

like how the rockets were missing a starter (yao ming) in the series but battled and won, much like the suns were missing a starter (raja bell) during the series but battled and won?

like how the rockets got an early lead (18 by halftime) and the garden weasel shrivelled up, taking only 4 FGAs in the 2nd half, much like the suns got an early lead (15 by halftime) and the garden weasel shrivelled up, taking only 3 FGAs in the 2nd half?

like how the clippers took the suns 7 games that same year too, just like the fakers did? and not a single one of the clippers starters then even started half a season this year? amazing!

Stop it homie. Look, I will ask Kobe for your lunch money. I am sorry he punked you in grade school.

Lakers are really bullshiting

They might beat these depleted Rockets playing like this but not the Nuggets or the Cavs

If they get knocked out all this "Kobe is the undisputed best" bs needs to stop

I still have them going to the finals but it really seems like something is wrong out there

Rick Adelman should have won COY, he has a team full of role players out there playing ball

Take a look at that roster

Kobe just gave up and decided not to even fucking try to win the game after the 1st half? 2 points in the 2nd half??

So they lost because of kobe huh? Now if he would have tried to go out and shoot more fgs, then he would be blamed for not getting his teammates involved, thus causing them to go "cold". Am i wrong?

And according to a few of you, this is pao and odoms team, so why should kobe have to force the issue?

Only players I saw that were trying to play hard at the end were Brow, Farmar, and Gasol.

What about the beginning, why not play hard then?
