first let me say i never was and never will be a laker fan.
Even when Shaq was there...i never liked them.
But, i must admit that the Lakers have been a soft/"unthreatening" ever since Shaq left.
My Bulls may not be a Championsip caliber team..but they played with more heart and passion in their 1 round than the Lakers have played the entire playoffs.
I knew the lakers would get past the rockets....but i dont think they wil get past the nuggets. the lakers "softness" and lack of toughness was exposed last year in the finals. Once Boston handed them their asses...they never added that piece to put them over the top. people thought Andrew Bynum was the missing piece....but honestly theyre no stornger with him.
You cant win with just one man playing with hunger and passion. I use to think that it was because of their youth, but then I looked at teams like the Bulls, Cavs, Orlando, etc. then i realized it was just softness and lack of passion. Soft ass Euro players and wack defense...same like last year.
Now...the nuggets are a scary team. Ive been watching Karl since the jordan days..and dude is a good coach. As for Billups....well i never liked billups ever since the pistons eliminated my bulls a few years ago, but i will admit dude is good and i think he was the missing piece to take that team over the top. i think it wil be cavs vs nuggets in the finals...and Lebron will get the crown in the end. even if the soft lakers somehow make it..i stil pick the cavs because their the tougher/hungrier team.
therefore...let me go ahead and just give congrats to Lebron for winning his first championship right now.
btw..dont let the hate in the first sentence mislead you.
i type the truth. even if youre a laker fan..you have to admit that your team is soft. stop looking at your shitty team through rose colored glasses. Kobe has the toughness and passion...but after him..then what?
