***THE OFFFICIAL BGOL 2015 NBA PLAYOFFS THREAD*** Who you Got?

I got the Cavs vs whoever

You can see how Lebron is playing

He knows this win will climb him right up that ladder even further

And that means something to him

He is still the best player in the world

And if need be they will put his big ass on Steph when it counts

I want to see Bron win then I want to see that bitch ass cac Gilbert hand over ownership of the team to Bron..

However I don't think Bron is winning with this bunch only because Love's 17/10 would be huge and he stretches the floor.. Thompson ain't going out there, and if Green is hitting from beyond that arch either Thompson or Mosgov have to come outside..

Yeah, he knows this eliminates any big 3 talk(and we know he hates that shit). When people having GOAT talk 20 years from now, they bringing up this finals if Lebron wins.

That defensive match could be bigger than people realize down the stretch. On the other hand, there isn't anyone to stop Lebron. Coaches deep down only hope they can frustrate him into those long Js, but when he doesn't allow himself to get frustrated and settle, it's just ugly.

The focus is constantly on what the Cavs need to do to stop the Warriors, and while the Warriors are the obvious favorite, there's no guarantee Curry is going to keep shooting like he is, Thompson had a half of a good game in the WCF so far, if the Rockets can extend the series another game or 2, that would benefit the Cavs as it would give them more time to rest and heal.

Truthfully, I love the confidence the Cavs are playing with right now, LeBron has full confidence in his teammates, he's saying the right things to the media to increase their confidence and trust in HIM even more, and Kyrie with some rest may be at least 85-90 percent.

IF JR and/or Shumpert are hitting the outside shot, then you have Curry one on one more with Kyrie, because whoever is on LeBron can't help, and You have to keep bodies on Thompson and Mosgov or they will kill you in the post. LeBron may very well cause a few of the Warriors regulars into foul trouble, in addition to his normal production, and Mosgov may very well outplay or at least cancel out Bogut.

For me, this series is won or lost by the benches, and GS has the stronger bench, BUT the Cavs are getting rest right now. If the Cavs bench can compete with GS's, not allow Livingston to run wild with the second unit, and the Cavs can get some servicable minutes from Dellavadova, Perkins, Miller or Jones, this series may be a LOT more competitive than people are assuming...

OKC was an almost completely Iso offensive team which played right into Miami's hand. Plus that Miami team was stacked

Exactly:yes::yes:...I remember listening to these idiots on TV picking OKC like wtf are they talking about; But just like these same idiots picked the Spurs to repeat; These same idiots picked Clips after they beat the Spurs to win the chip; These same idiots continue to be idiots:lol::lol:...Im picking GS; maybe ill become one of those idios:lol:; I dont think so though...im taking bets if anyone wants to!!!

ain't nobody on the warriors playing enough defense to even TRY to slow down lebron.

ain't nobody on the cavs playing perimeter defense to slow down curry and thompson.

smart money always bets AGAINST the jump-shooting team; they have to cool off sooner or later.

btw, i have no dog in this fight... don't gaf either way.

How can a team give up 45 points in a quarter??...Golden State has lost me.

The difference between the two teams 8s that the Cavs have the best rim attacker tandems in the NBA, so they shoot the three when teams pack the paint..
On the other side the Cavs don't have to pack the paint vs GS and should have better perimeter defense. .

U do realize that the Cavs are a jump shooting team right:lol::lol:..

the cavs live and die off of jump shooters?

they don't have anyone slashing to the rim named lebron?

they don't have an emerging superstar in the paint named thompson?

they don't have a guard named kyrie that goes to the rack hard?

they don't have a physical presence down low?

vs... golden state where if thompson or curry get 'cold,' they are fucked.

:yes::yes: they are a versatile team that plays inside/out ball.

having capable shooters on the wings AS AN OPTION = you gotta play honest.

relying on long jumpers all damn night like golden state will eventually fail you. at least, that's how it's been in the past where NO ONE TOOK jump shooting, perimeter, run and gun teams seriously.

perhaps golden state represents the 'new' nba. :dunno:

People don't seem to realize, LeBron's not driving and dishing to Donyell Marshall with this version of the Cavs

damn yall talking cavs vs. GS like htown already lost the series  you never know might be watching history in the making...harden might lead niggas back

If the Bulls with all their trees and no Kyrie were not successful at packing the paint and slowing down the Cavs offensive how do folks think a much smaller warrior team to pull it off especially with... Dude GS is 800 times better than the Bulls..

Clippers know about that

Going back to the GS vs Cavs series. The major difference is that Cavs will finally be playing a really good squad. Just like they walked through the playoffs, any good Western Conference team would have walked through the East. The East is trash right now.

Plus, as spectacular and pretty some of the Warriors shot have been, their shooting % isn't that high, and the reason why they won most of their games is due to them killing their opponents off the boards... Now if they do the same vs the Cavs then sure they have a good chance of winning, but I seriously doubt if they can out board the bigger and much more athletic Cavs team.. Plus that going small bullshit will be disastrous vs the Cavs..

The Cavs didnt have to pack the paint against the Hawks; But if you watch the games the Hawks were consistently getting wide open jump shots; Every game wide open, but they didnt hit those shots; didnt hit anything; Dudes were getting shots from every angle just didnt make the shots, which is weird considering they did that all year; BUT FUCK THE HAWKS!!!! Point is the cavs defense aint that good; Atlanta missed open jumpers all day every game against the Cavs; But GS will not and trust me they will get those open jumpers the same as the Hawks did...

, and the reason why they won most of their games is due to them killing their opponents off the boards...

GS is statistically both the top offensive and defensive team in the league. They're a complete squad. The real issue is going to be how they handle the big stage. A team with no one finals experience on their squad hasn't won a title in almost 25 years.

Clippers know about that

Going back to the GS vs Cavs series.

I have more faith in love making a surprise appearance in the finals than I have in houston making a comeback in this series...truth be told I got GS closing this shit out tonite

Yeah..wouldn't be surprised to see them get down early and Howard do some hoe shit to get himself thrown out of the game

And injury ridden

i'm writing houston off after tonight... and it's weird because HOUSTON COULD HAVE WON THE FIRST TWO IN GOLDEN STATE.

both games were close.

then, they shit the bed and everyone was like  after game 3.

I'm looking forward to seeing what Harden does tonight...game 3 or game 4 Harden.

It's clutch time...Harden does have that terrible 2012 Finals on his resume.

the most houston can do now is play hard enough to win a game or 2 more and give the cavs some rest

Why pack the paint vs a team with no players who can effectively attack the rim.. When people say they had wide open shots but just didn't hit, for one or two games yeah it happens... But when a team with the 2nd highest three point shooting rating starts bricking like that, then its most likely the defense doing something to disrupt their shots... Often its something subtle that people who never played ball would over look, like disrupting their dribble and forcing them to speed up their shooting motion another big thing that often goes unnoticed is when you force them expend more energy on defense and helping out on the boards than they are used to....
For those reasons along with their food/hand speed and height, its a fact that the Cavs have the best perimeter defense in the NBA and even the great Curry had a horrible shooting game vs the Cavs and Thompson was a shell of himself that game..

Yeah.. the game 3 blowout has people forgetting that those first two games were really close...and game 2 was a harden fuckup away from Houston stealing it

This would be more of a factor with a bigger team like the Bulls and their deep bench and size.. But a smaller team takes less energy and being that the Warriors size and style is almost idential to the Hawks, I don't see depth as a issue, not in the finals especially when they are used to playing with out JR and Kyrie..

the most houston can do now is play hard enough to win a game or 2 more and give the cavs some rest

Finals starting on June 4 regardless....

Oakland is playing for rest, and if Curry is even the slightest bit woozy from that fall his team needs to get that W and give it to him.

But fuck em.... We not winning 2 of 3 in Oakland so i hope they give em hell tonight. Show up. Play hard. If we lose, we lose to the best team in the NBA in the Western Conference Finals.

I'll take that

Just don't take another game 3 L

My take is Curry and Thompson are better shooters but with LeBron, Kyrie and even Thompson requiring so muck attention in thevpain, Kyrie, JR and even Shumpert stand to have better shots and should shoot for a higher %.

that's possible. we were just talking about who's a better shooter though. just flat out.

They blew it when they allowed the Warriors to beat them off the boards and not making them pay for so many jacked up three point bricks..
