You really believe this huh? Finn could have been replaced with a C-3PO like protocol Droid and the story would have moved along fine.

Rey is the key to the story, it revolves around her character. Finn is just there for the ride...and ended the movie, on his back, in a coma, and got a kiss on his comatose forehead and friendzoned...while the girl he crushed on flew away with a man-dog to train and become a Jedi.
the entire plot of TFA ran through Finn, not Rey.

jedi or not, it aint debatable... unless you cant follow the story.

Man...I like Boyega, I just didn't care for his character and just hated the bait and switch they pulled on us with his "Finn"....all the trailers and shit had us all thinking dude was going to be central to the story, a Jedi in training but instead, he was along for the ride, comic relief and a let down.

This was my biggest complaint i was so let down by him not being a jedi and just comic relief

The Force Awaken was whack as fuck. I really tried to like that shit. I really did, but it was pitiful, uncreative, boring, and absolutely redundant as it was A New Hope all over again. I was very disappointed and found it somewhat insulting as a fan.

I'll give The Last Jedi a try. Open mind about it, but the Force Awakens is easily my least favorite Star Wars film.

Tabernacle. Church. Mosque. Synagogue. Temple.

We been through this before. He got the plot moving, the same way without R2-D2 did. We wouldn't have gotten to Luke and Obi Wan in A New Hope without R2, but outside of that, his character could have been left aside at Maz Kanatas castle/bar.

He wasn't an after thought with the films ending, so much so that he wasn't awake when it was coming to an end.

Believe what makes you happy though. They disrespected his character, and those of us who were looking forward to seeing a Black lead in a Star Wars film.

You are SO COLD now man! What happened to you?

Rey has clearly been trained to rumble. They even show her banging with them dudes in the beginning. She been on her own fighting and scraping for years, just look at her with her staff. She has too much contact with the force, enough to challenge Ren and that is exactly what he was afraid of, someone exposing him as not as powerful as Vader was.

I hope Finn does wake up and reveal that he is force sensitive. They trying to save it as long as possible. If you remember, the awakening was not only Rey, it started with Finn. Kylo Ren knew that too, that's how he knew Finn was the traitor, he felt him through the force.

Disney does have an agenda - this much is true... but they risk alienating their male fanbase if they stray too far off target and I think Rian Johnson will right the ship. Brick was the shit. Looper was even better. I have faith in that cat.

He already did in Return of the Jedi. He was touching the dark side and came back. If he did it again, he's gonna have some knowledge of the grey - that between the energy shit that Mace Windu was tapping into. There was a reason why he fought the way he did and why he alone had a purple lightsaber BUT he was still a Jedi.

I think he was on the right track but was blinded by tradition. I think Qui-Gon was almost there too. They used Ashoka in Star Wars Rebels to show force users in the Grey... maybe Luke is there now.

:lol::lol::lol:

Leave that man alone.

Damn man...

Y'all doubting the kid, he following the path that Luke was on, its okay. In Empire Luke got messed up and was in the tank for awhile too. In this movie, they start out the same way but when he get out its goin be on. Rey and Finn are BOTH sharing part of the same plot points that Luke went through in the first trilogy. They saved each other, back to back, so neither is the Leia role. Poe is the Han Solo of the crew now.

Rey is going to train with Luke as he did with Yoda.

Finn is injured in battle and recovers, coming back as a leader in the rebellion just as Luke did.

Watch, it'll work. The plots match up correctly, just in a different way, this is still the hero's journey they are doing here. I'll admit Rey was on some Mary Sue shit, she emerged as the surprise Jedi in the film HOWEVER Finn was indeed the hero of The Force Awakens - there is no doubt about it. The story could work without Rey but it could never happen without Finn.

Come on man Rey grew up fighting hood niggas trying to steal her rations, Kylo is a Sith Lord, she shouldn't have had lasted any more than a few seconds.

You can find videos on YouTube explaining Mace windu's light saber, his fighting style was very emotionally aggressive and most Jedi's couldn't train in that style out of fear it would lead them to the dark side, which is why he didn't teach it to Anakin.

I'm not going to watch the trailer. I don't feel the need to see the trailer of a movie I'm already going to see. I don't need the spoilers

I don't even watch..."Next week on..." With my favorite shows. I'm already watching the show every week, why do I need extra incentive to watch the show I'm already hooked on?

and he got FRIEND-ZONED! Right now, his chances of getting that rare jedi pussy is low as fuck. :smh:

But seriously, his comedy is corny and that's no diss to him because he ain't write the script. He is just taking part of a golden opportunity in one of Hollywood's biggest epics.

Really hoping his character will have a big influence on the story.
I think he's going to fill the Han Solo role of the series. Someone to pilot the Falcon with Chewbacca.

Oh yeah - I agree with you on Mace Windu. I love everything about that character.

But on Rey, yeah I hear you. I agree, its just... its just... its Star Wars man - we gotta suspend some belief a little. I think there is some reason WHY Rey can do the things she can do. She might be a prodigy of some sort, a natural gifted warrior or maybe her memory was erased.

AND I don't think Kylo is a Sithlord at all. I think he was faking the funk the whole time. I don't think he is the formidable warrior he was trying to portray - that is the point. When he took off his mask, he went straight to bitchville to me and it was like oh shit, the wizard is not a wizard at all - he is a fake. I think Kylo was acting like Vader and Rey exposed him, that's why Snoke says I need to complete your training. Them niggas got exposed as frauds.

The last Jedi

Plural or singular?

-.-

plu

plural

VERY GOOD QUESTION.

The nerd in me says plural but then after watching the trailer, the writer in me says singular. I think The Last Jedi IS Luke and Luke only. Is he saying the Jedi should end with his death maybe? I dunno.

Looks good. I just hope that they don't do a remake of Empire.
The Empire .... I mean the First Order coming back strong after the lost of the Death Star .... I mean Star Killer base. And Rey going off to train with the last Jedi master.
Although I'll crack the fuck up at a training scene with Rey running through the jungle with Luke on her back.

He might be the Han Solo role (the secondary "lead"), but I don't see him piloting the Falcon. He doesn't know how to fly, and the hotshot pilot for this trilogy is Poe.
