Can't really talk too much on the circumstances of why it died but let's just say there was a crackdown in 2014 on what police and the feds like to call "revenge" porn and being a site that consisted entirely of uploaded porn by users we caught the attention of some people who I would rather not have issues with. So I just shut down shop and moved on.
The site ran from 09-14 and did well made over a million due to having a good relationship with "q" from worldstarhiphop.com that allowed me to be the first to run porn ads on his site. However, once lawmakers and the government started trying to police content on the internet and the tax reporting laws caught up with technology in 2011 shit started to become less attractive to run. Because of the legal risk of possibly someone uploading a video of an underage person or of someone's ex onto our site, and me all a sudden being criminally and financially liable, I decided to shut down shop.
When I started the irs didn't have a way to track online payments back before 2011 so it was basically tax-free money, there were also no laws regarding the upload of videos onto the internet. At one point I know it was the largest website for exclusively homemade ebony porn. It was a wild ride, got to do some cool things I know one of our commercials we actually had yo gotti on and we used his hit "5 star chick" for the music on the commercial and it was the first time anyone had heard the song. All in all very lucrative business to be in but in the end, the liabilities with dealing with porn pushed me out.
It's very easy when your in that sort of business for people that are jealous of your success to paint you in a bad light because of the nature of the business.
