SNOWFALL FX discussion thread

Franklin Leon and Jerome love each other
And that is the difference between them and the rest of the game.

When it really comes down to it
They'll do anything to come out of it together and no other crew has that bond.

Scully is the only person I feel sorry for.

Dude did everything he was told

Dude didn't start the manboy beef- manboy came and killed his people first
Dude got setup by Franklin
Then got his daughter and now his girl killed
He never stepped out of line
And never tried to expand past his lane
And his reward was a dead family

franklin's mom looked at him like she was just seeing him for the first time..

She's gonna leave
She's realized her baby is parenting her and that's not going to go over well with her life

Franklin ain't gonna leave and her husband is still her husband

Both the men in her life trying to do what's best without consulting her

It's a cold game when your son is like what are you doing?
Nigga that ain't your job no more

And then you leave cause you know your son don't play

He should've just gone into exile after that

Right.....shit if she been paying attention that's on par about with the worst shit he's done. Well....he WOULD'VE done. She looked at him crazy and he didn't even do it.

It just dawned on me that Snowfall may do a 100% pivot and focus the show completely in Little Rock. That story is interesting as hell, has never been explored as a tv show, and could give the show two or three more seasons. This would be how they work in a new plug etc.
I don't think they will go down that route but I Do agree that's a aspect that hasn't been explored in this genre of filmmaking. Out of towners come through and watch that shit destroy them people from within.

This is a classic now.

And he's a man of the Lord. I don't understand why all this shit keeps happening to him.

So you feel sorry for scully? The same guy that was sacrificing people on a crucifix like the romans did to Christ?

Yeah that part wasn't believable...even though Reed did look the part of a broken man
It was though. Fucked up her marriage, relationship with her daughter,
Wild ass story she's triying to prove to her boss. Even after Saint told her to watch her family after
she confronted his pops. Bitch would'nt listen. Even being drugged the first time. She loved taking chances.
Story was just too juicy. Crazy ass reporter. "This is the one!" She could'nt pass it up.
She's a drunk that could'nt pass up a drink either. In a public place what could go wrong?
"I'm not dead yet. So they're going to compromise." (mentality)

That same dude.
Scully was happy in his home controlling his area and chilling.

Manboy came to his home and shot his people up. That's when you go to war PERIOD.
In war you do what you do PERIOD.
If manboy never goes there unprovoked on some manboy shit to shoot up the projects Scully is listening to some 80's rap in his apartment chilling.

Scully did everything that was asked and got setup
lost his daughter and his girl

Point me in the direction of Scully being proactive in stepping out of his lane or bothering anybody that didn't fuck with him?

That was a good episode.

I do hate when characters who should be smarter are written naïve or dumb. The reporter, who we're told is a veteran journalist and from the hood, should have known the CIA would come back on her and try to shut her up.

1983 though....there was ALOT that was not common knowledge yet. COINTELPRO for example wasn't publicly revealed until the 90's
The world didn't know how deep the FBI could get into your shit. So you KNOW they weren't hip the shenanigans of the Agency yet
Even the Panthers were only dealing with conspiracy theories at that point (as opposed to the realities that were revealed in the next decade)

Manboy has topped the way a G goes out

Shoutout to Manboy & Khadijah, I see talking shit with your last breath is a family tradition.
Manboy referring to Fatback's death saying he got carved up"..like a muhfuckin Christmas ham!"my closed captioning read it as him saying"CRISMUH HAMM!!" :roflmao2:

‘yep. Yep. And yep.

Franklin should have picked Scully from the jump over Manboy. For those same reasons.

Man that crazy muthafucka skully be crazy to everyone else but that chic for whatever reason.

Yes I remember....There was also a little thing called WATERGATE that exposed alot of corruption in gov't as well
But it still wasn't COMMON knowledge. Most people didn't give a shit about what was happening to the BPP.
Most didn't realize how this could affect the COMMON man. Honest, law abiding, tax paying citizens were still thought to be immune

I was just a child but I remember the Church Committee and also the KNAPP Commission in NY

My nigga manboy

where the memes
Nigga does talk alot
Skully is about to get the bloods and crips warfare that exists to this day crackin again.
Talking to some younger folks around the way they don't realize this is not merely a TV show. This shit happened. In our neighborhoods. We had bars on our windows and sense to know when to duck and cover. Dope heads UC's and all of this shit in this show. Singleton lived a helluva life growing up to have the concept to put this in a series the way he did.
