this is what I can't get... Rhonda is a real fighter with glaring holes in her skillsets
she has lost really tough fights before and learned from them - she is a great olympic competitor (I know a few guys and a girl that got permanent injuries during trials for the US judo team) - for her thrive and medal is elite and takes a tough mind.

so after all of her time off and the experience how does she not watch the Holms video and see the problems?
How does she not pay attention to kata while training on striking?
How does she not try to learn more?

Everything else - strategy etc I blame on coaching

Pride begets the fall.

And/or

Some people just can't take a punch and panic.

*two cents *

Anybody got a replay of the fight

To be honest with you, I don't know how Ronda would ever get Floyd in position to get him to the ground. People talk about his shoulder-roll defense, but dude is extremely elusive. Dude has routinely pulled off some Sweat Pea type shit in the ring. Thats to say nothing of the fact that I've seen dude do some ill shit where he's able to quickly retreat with his upperbody, and break that backward motion to go in with a punch.

Man, before Ronda would have to eat too many punches, and I'm more than certain she has never seriously fought a man as elusive AND accurate as Mayweather.

I can't believe you've given the ridiculous notion of the two fighting such serious thought.

Mines is just that good...fuck all the bullshit about Rousey not preparing or not having this or that

There are some athletes who are just creates better and regardless of how much the opponents train....it doesn't help

The ref should have let it go on another 3-5 seconds for posterity. Just let her touch the canvas with her backside. She would have been down shortly.

Erase all doubt. Silence rouseysplainers.

Fam you saying you seen some people call it a quick stoppage???

Nah b, where is the real fight video that can't be real bitch didn't throw a punch

She was on death door in there.

And the nerve of some folks saying she is one of the greatest fighters ever

Aint no doubt.

Rousey was out there doing the fucking Wobble dance on a cruise ship during rough seas.

Rousey had to be rescued.

She certainly didn't compete.
She certainly didn't lose like a champion.

Molly Fucking Whop.

One great white hype down. Two to go...(GGG/McGregor).
Nah. Conor can back that shit up though. Only person to have 2 UFC belts at the same time. He won't ever stop yappin. Now he is a white hope when it comes to boxing Floyd though.

I didn't see panic - she either froze up before the first punch (I doubt that)
or she followed the game plan her coach gave her - after hearing the corner audio - I believe she was "trying" to do the plan right up until the first time Nunez really hurt her with clean hits to the nose and chin.

I saw an unprepared fighter -

She looked brain damaged DURING the fight.

That explains it. Look at her legs, it has a mind of its own where it stiffs up while the rest of her body is trying to move forward. Sometimes it does an involuntary stanky leg motions.

This one fighter said she looked so out of place, he don't think she did any sparring, which was stupid, if true.

Also, were those male fighters she was 'rolling' going all out?

I use to fight stand up and mma....

I was 'decent' and I'm being generous.

But I was lean, athletic, north of 2 bills, a former D-1 athlete, and still in my 20's so while sparring a woman -who in most cases out skilled me- it didn't take much to for me to 'remind her' that she was fighting a full grown man if she got a lil to cute with it.

Training with a person, sparing with a person, and fighting a person are three different worlds.

I didn't know my head from my ass fighting wise but all those chicks I would trained with and sparred with I would have KILLED in a fight.

What gym and who were the female fighters?

Its starting to be an "in" thing for trainers not to spar or allow punches to the head because of concussions. Quite a few good fighters dont do it anymore. That said, Ronda definitely isn't experienced enough to take this approach. Alot of people are blaming her trainer. Personally I believe its a combination of her training,a low fight IQ, and that she is just mentally weak.

So in other words she just ain't that good lol

No she is obviously good. She won multiple fights straight and held the title for years. Losing 2 fights doesn't take away that. Anderson Silva and Chuck Liddell don't suck. The thing about Ronda is that she is so emotional and used to overwhelming her opponents. If she can't do that, then she doesn't have the fight IQ, or heart and will to find a way to win.If you look at many great fighters there is a point where they are losing but find a way to win.

And I wish people would stop putting him against Floyd like Floyd ain't 157 years old.
Have him fight a boxer his same age.

White folks hate Floyd and will not let it go until he loses.Floyd has already beat all their hopes so now they pulling out boxers way out his weightclass like GGG and MMA fighters. If Floyd KOs McGregor in Boxing then they will act like he "owes" McGregor a rematch in MMA. I hope Floyd wins one more in boxing to get the record then retires arguably the GOAT.

YEs, I heard BJJ talk about his non contact (or low contact) sparring during his interview with Rogan. Joe was very surprised to hear that this was Jon's approach. Imho, Rousey looked out of place and like an amateur last night. Shorty should bow out and save herself anymore damage....
