Questions about the loss of black dominance in the world.

I think what needs to happen to regain some type of prominent recognition in the world is to pick up the mantle where brother Malcolm left off. Becoming international. Malcolm was a strong supporter of all Africans in the diaspora making allegiances in some form under the organization of African Unity starting a new wave of pan-Africanism. We are spread out all over the world without a support base. Put cultural differences aside we could establish some new form of black nationalism. Starting with us brothas here as leaders of the free-world.

That could be the evolution of a new black dominance and re-invent a new way to be black.

Great post (I have asked myself the same questions after reading about own great history) and this is what I hope will happen one day. Marcus Garvey came real close to forming a black nationalism, but as we know fell prey. I brain storm almost every day trying to come up with ideas on how to bring more unity with the Africans in the diaspora. I think if more blacks (Africans in the diaspora) knew great history, then they will have more pride in themselves and unity. I proudly say that I am a Pan-African.

Kefta, I agree with finding out the right way to apply justice and feel that it's fully possible to do so. However, I do feel that much is to be learned from history so we don't repeat the same mistakes. Also, we can truly blend the elements that worked in the past with newer and modern approaches to not only ensure justice for all but continued prosperity. We must recognize not only the white supremacism that threatens our progress at every turn but the black "white supremacism" who sways and deters our progress for his own gains from whites.

Just like any empire and civilizations had enemies externally and internally, black people worldwide have those same issues.

Respect! and you are right about the need to learn history. "I do feel that much is to be learned from history so we don't repeat the same mistakes". I agree with you one hundred percent. Now, in regard to internal enemies and if "we" have them...:dunno: I only know one enemy and that is the white folks that practice, maintain and/or refine the global, national and local system of racism/white supremacy. In most cases, and historical evidence supports this thesis, they use other black people to slow down black liberation. So according to LOGIC, if "we" deal with the people in charge (the white people that practice, maintain and/or refine the global, national and local system of racism/white supremacy) then it will be much easier to deal with the so called "internal" enemies. Brah, i guess i am too naive but under the global, national an local system of racism/white supremacy black people are not my enemies.

True...White supremacy is the enemy, first and foremost. However, greed doesn't discriminate. There are some people who will be greedy no matter what the situation may bring. Greed is a disease that has no cure, only degrees of "sickness". Whose to say that a poor black person can't be swayed by the promise of gains and a better life. Everybody has a price, even black people who otherwise would have nothing to do with white racism/supremacy in the first place.

Forgive my manipulation, I wote first post hoping to trigger delving into just that, African civilizations.

The Kingdoms in and around Nigeria such as Dahomey predate Egypt and are directly reponsible for influencing kingdoms of "Upper Egypt".

I'll add more manana, have to look through notes and call my pops to make sure I don't write incorrect info.

Good conversation so far.
