A famous opera singer and his husband have been arrested on suspicion of raping a young singer who claims he was left bleeding from the rectum after blacking out at an after-show party with the pair in Texas, in 2010.

David Daniels, 52, and his conductor husband Scott Walters, 37, were arrested in Michigan, where they live, on Tuesday night.

They are being held in county jail and aware awaiting extradition to Houston where they are accused of raping Samuel Schultz after a performance in 2010.

Schultz came forward last August with his allegations, waiving his anonymity as the possible victim of a sex crime to describe how the couple allegedly preyed on him.

He reported his claims to the Houston Police Department at the same time.

In his complaint, Schultz, who was 23 at the time, described how he rarely drinks but accepted a drink from Daniels once they got back to the home the couple was staying in.

He said he 'blacked out' afterwards and came to the next day when he found himself in severe pain, alone in the house.

Samuel Schulz claims he was raped by the pair in 2010 when he was a 23-year-old singer

'I was sore and I didn't know why.

'I made my way to the bathroom to figure out why I hurt. I was bleeding from my rectum.

'I became numb. I was paralyzed with fear. What had happened?

'How could I escape? How would I get out? Where were my clothes?' ' he wrote.

Daniels and Walters were out at breakfast at the time but when they returned, he claims Daniels told him they had had unprotected sex.

''I remember David saying, “Don't worry about the BB thing, I'm totally negative.''

'BB in this case meant bareback, otherwise known as raping me without a condom,' Schultz wrote.

He said he decided to report the pair to police after eight years because he was emboldened by the #MeToo movement.

A Houston Police Department spokesman confirmed the pair's arrest on Wednesday but would not give further details.

They remain behind bars in Michigan. Their extradition may be delayed because of the severe weather conditions in Michigan.

Daniels and Walters got married in a 2014 ceremony that was officiated by Supreme Court Justice Ruth Ginsburg

An attorney for the couple told DailyMail.com on Wednesday that they were innocent and that Schultz was merely trying to make a name for himself.

'David and Scott are innocent of any wrongdoing. Sam Schultz is not a victim.

Daniels, who is a professor at the University of Michigan, denies the charges. He has been sued in the past by a student for sexual harassment and was also investigated by police for allegedly soliciting sex on Grindr but no charges were brought in that case

'He never would have gotten this much attention from his singing, and he knows and resents that fact.

'He waited eight years to complain about adult, consensual sex to ride the MeToo movement to unearned celebrity. We will fight this,' Matt Hennessy said.

The pair were married in a 2014 ceremony that was officiated by Supreme Court Justice Ruth Ginsburg.

Daniels has been accused in the past of soliciting men on Grindr and was reported to police in 2017 for allegedly asking a man to perform a sex act through the app.

No charges were ever brought.

He has also previously faced complaints from students at the University of Michigan, where he is a tenured professor including one who sued him in October.

Daniels filed a counter suit in October.

He took a paid leave of absence from his post last year after Schultz made his allegations public.

The University of Michigan said on Wednesday that it was aware of his arrest and would continue to 'closely monitor the situation.'

He is paid more than $191,000 a year by the university.

A former high school student has claimed that she coerced a 50-year-old teacher into having sex with her when she was 17 after he was diagnosed with cancer.

Scott Brady, now 54, is currently facing criminal sexual assault and aggravated sexual abuse charges for his past relationship with the woman.

But the woman has tried to take the blame for their sexual relationship, saying it was 'more manipulation that anything on my part'.

The woman, now 20, said she knew Brady, who was a science teacher and soccer coach at North Boone High School, had been diagnosed with skin cancer.

A former high school student has claimed that she coerced teacher Scott Brady, 54, into having sex with her when she was 17 after he was diagnosed with cancer

'I took advantage of what I knew,' the woman told a Winnebago County courtroom on Tuesday. 'I convinced him he was going to die.'

Brady allegedly had a sexual relationship with the student between December 2015 and December 12, 2016, according to the Rockford Register Star.

The former teacher claims his relationship with the teen had only turned sexual after she moved in with him on December 15, 2016.

Brady said the woman's father had disowned her and kicked her out of the house.

'She came to me,' he testified. 'I told her she was welcome, I had a spare bedroom.'

Brady claimed the two became close after becoming roommates and eventually started having sex.

But text messages seem to show that Brady and the girl's relationship was serious - and intimate - before they moved in together.

The woman testified that she met Brady her sophomore year. She had played soccer and liked science class so she began texting him.

'He told me not to do that,' the former student claimed. 'That was inappropriate'.

But the woman said they began texting more after she broke up with her boyfriend.

On July 3, 2016, Brady joked to the then-teen that they 'go naked with red, white, and blue body paint', seemingly in reference to the upcoming Fourth of July holiday.

Just a month later, Brady texted the teen that he 'never regretted a decision involving you and I being together'.

'I plan to marry you,' he said in another text. 'After that I plan to show you what it's like to live like a princess.'

The woman claimed that she had sex with Brady at least twice. She replied 'I don't know' when prosecutors asked if the pair had sex more than four times.

In November 2016, the woman told investigators she had sex with Brady six times between July and October 2016.

But now the woman claims she was 'ambushed' by detectives and 'forced to say something' at the time, she testified.

Brady's wife Michelle discovered a note from the teen to her husband in March 2016.

The following month he asked her for a divorce. They had been married for 22 years.

Brady resigned from North Boone High School in December 2016.

The woman, now 20, said she knew Brady, who was a science teacher and soccer coach at North Boone High School (pictured), had been diagnosed with skin cancer

Brady's defense is fighting both the prosecution's timeline of his relationship with the woman, whether he could have physically had sex with her, and whether he had a position of authority over her at the time of their relationship.

Although the woman was 17 and 18 when the alleged sexual relationship took place and thus considered legal under Illinois' age of consent law, Brady was charged because he was a teacher at her school.

But Brady's defense argued that that teen wasn't actually being taught at the high school because she was part of the 'Running Start' program.

The program allows students to earn their high school diploma and an associate's degree at the same time by taking community college classes during their junior and senior year in high school.

But the girl was also helping out with Brady's soccer team, even calling herself a manager.

Meanwhile, Brady has claimed that he had a testicular mass and could not have had sex with the teen during the prosecution's time frame because he was too sick.

The former teacher has pleaded not guilty to one count of criminal sexual assault and two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.

Brady could face three years to life in prison if convicted. Closing arguments in the trial will begin on Thursday.

WOODBRIDGE, New Jersey --
Nice try.

A New Jersey man was arrested and charged after he purposely threw ice on a business' floor and faked a slip and fall.

The Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office said 57-year-old Alexander Goldinsky was subcontracted to work at a company in Woodbridge and allegedly orchestrated the scam in its break room.

Surveillance video from 2018 shows the suspect fill a cup with ice and use the cup to toss the ice on the floor. He then shuffles toward the ice and uses a nearby counter to help him "slip and fall" onto the floor.

Officials said Goldinsky waited on the ground until he was discovered. They said he then filed a false insurance claim for the ambulance service and treatment he received at a local hospital for injuries he claimed.

Goldinsky was arrested on Jan. 15 and charged with insurance fraud and theft by deception. His court appearance is scheduled for next Thursday in the New Brunswick Superior Court.

Kathleen Davis was arrested for trying to kill her son-in-law after he revealed their secret love affair

As cops put Kathleen Davis in handcuffs, they said her story was like ‘something from Jerry Springer’.

The mother was arrested after she drove to her son-in-law Michael Sciarra’s house, threw eggs and tried to run him over with her Mercedes after he told her daughter about their almost four-year affair.

She then admitted their illicit relationship to cops in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, told officers she wanted to kill Sciarra because he ‘destroyed the relationship with her daughter Hannah.

Davis, 59, said that Sciarra, 34, deserved to die for exposing their fling and ‘destroying’ her family. She also accused him of sexual assault, said he had been in dozens of adulterous while married to her daughter, and said his father was in the mob.

It shows her outburst in full as she was resting on the hood of the patrol car, including her laughing at the fact she is a ‘pastor’s wife’.

At one point, as she is being led into the back of a patrol car, she said ‘hi’ to two of her grandsons, who were inside the house when she started throwing the eggs and doing donuts on the front lawn.

Davis has since pleaded guilty to assault with a deadly weapon and was given three years probation.

She was also ordered to stay away from Sciarra, take an anger management course, and abstain from drugs and alcohol.

It’s not known if Davis’ relationship with her daughter has improved. Her lawyer told DailyMail.com she did not want to comment and her client did not want to be contacted for an interview.

The confrontation began on September 20, 2017, when Davis reportedly drove to Sciarra's Florida home, at 4429 Crestdale St and began throwing eggs at his house and car.

Police were called and found Davis chasing Sciarra around his front yard, in her Mercedes SUV.

The officer also noted they observed him running in different directions in an attempt to avoid being hit by the Mercedes being driven by Davis.

Dashcam footage shows the moment when one of the cops approached Davis, who was still revving the accelerator.

He asked her to turn off the engine and get out of the car.

‘He abused me. He sexually assaulted me’,' she told the cop, while Sciarra laughed in the background.

Davis then told officers: ‘He raped me and then he told my daughter that we were sleeping together for three and a half years. So I am pretty p***ed off’.

‘I tried to run him down with car.

'That man is my daughter’s ex-husband,' she continued. 'He told my daughter that I f***ing f***ed him for three and a half years. My daughter doesn’t even want to have a relationship with me anymore.'

A cop then asks Davis if she wanted to kill him because he’s ‘making up lies?’

'No he’s not making up lies. It’s true. I had a f***ing relationship with this guy’, she admitted. ‘Listen darling. He only did it so he could ruin my Hannah. He used me so he could get to her.

‘He has had 10 to 15 adulterous relationships in the last year. I am, like, beside myself.

‘He told my daughter two weeks ago.'

The officer then asked why she was trying to run him over, and Davis replied: ‘He deserves to die. The man has destroyed my family’.

While being put in the cop car, Davis asked them to put the handcuffs tighter because ‘I deserve it’.

‘This man is trying to destroy my life, my daughter, my husband. He accused me of having a sexual relationship that I didn’t have and he raped me in Rhode Island.

‘I have no proof of it. Now my daughter doesn’t want anything to do with me. So I threw eggs at his house.’

The cop asked again why she was chasing him with a car, and she said: ‘Because I was trying to run him down. I’m gonna kill him.'

She admitted: ‘It’s attempted murder.’

‘When he came out running. I wanted to kill him. I tapped his father’s car. If I wanted to total it I would have.

‘I wanted to hit him. I wanted to kill him. Can you put me in jail for that?

She then said she hit the police car on accident.

‘You think I would hit you on purpose?’

The officer approached Sciarra who was standing next to his car inspecting the damage.

The cop asked him: ‘You got home and you heard a bunch of banging and she was throwing eggs at window?

Sciarra responded: 'Yeah. She was throwing it and me and at the cars. I also have video of her saying she is going to kill me as well.

‘Absolutely I am going to press charges,’ he added, and then showed the cops the damage she did to his car.

Sciarra turned around at one point and said: ‘She could be mad at me because I had an affair with her and I told her daughter'

Meanwhile, Davis could be heard speaking to one of the officers.

A cop asked why she went over to the house that night.

‘To throw eggs at his house’. she replied. ‘If you look at his ID you are going to find a record and his mob father is in the car’.

Sciarra turned around and said: ‘She could be mad at me because I had an affair with her and I told her daughter.’

He then goes on to say what had happened previously with his estranged wife Hannah - Davis’ daughter.

‘I don’t know what their (daughter and mother) relationship is because like because we (Sciarra and Hannah Davis) have a no-contact as we got in a domestic and I got arrested. She spit in my face six times.’

From all accounts, in police reports also obtained by DailyMail.com, the relationship between Hannah and her husband Michael had been in steep decline in the months leading up to the incident.

In May 2017, police responded to the same address where Hannah's mother was arrested but this time for an incident involving Hannah and Michael after their neighbor called police when he said he heard Hannah screaming.

According to police, Hannah said she was having family dinner with Michael and their two children, Andrew, two, and Gabriel, six, when her husband became agitated by the conversation in which she was telling him about an achievement at work.

She told cops he 'flipped out' on her after the conversation turned to their issues and she disclosed that she was cheating on him with another man.

Hannah told the police he struck her during the outburst. Police say when they entered the home it was covered with broken glass and items strew about the home.

One of the officers made a comment during the arrest that it was like ‘something from Jerry Springer’

Police say they both smelled like alcohol, and that Hannah was visibly upset and had a swollen eye.

Michael had left their home before officers arrived, but returned after they spoke with him by telephone and asked him to come back to talk over what happened.

He also got agitated by the conversation with police, and threw his hands behind his back telling the officers to arrest him- so they did.

Michael admitted to the police that they did get into a verbal altercation after she told him she was seeing another man, but denied striking her.

Police arrested him on the charge of domestic battery for the May incident.

As Sciarra finished explaining how the relationship with his wife deteriorated, he showed off the damage done to his car.

He then said: ‘She claimed I raped her. You can’t rape somebody for four years. Ok? ‘I have proof’.

While she is sitting in the back of the car, she shouts at Sciarra: ‘I’m going to kill you and your father.’

As the cops shut the door, one says: ‘This is some Jerry Springer ‘s***’.

Another said: ‘I thought she was joking’.

The female cop then says: ‘How nasty is it to hook up with her daughter’s man?’

The bodycam then shows the front seat of her Mercedes, where the boxes of eggs she brought to throw at the house are stacked up.

When cops arrive at jail with Davis, they tell her she will be booked in and then bonded out, and warned her not to return to the house until the whole case is sorted out.

DailyMail.com has contacted Sciarra for comment.

Pope Francis has admitted that clerics have sexually abused nuns, and in one case they were kept as sex slaves.

He said in that case his predecessor, Pope Benedict, was forced to shut down an entire congregation of nuns who were being abused by priests.

It is thought to be the first time that Pope Francis has acknowledged the sexual abuse of nuns by the clergy.

He said the Church was attempting to address the problem but said it was "still going on".

Pope Francis made the comments on Tuesday to reporters while on a historic tour of the Middle East.

He admitted that priests and bishops had abused nuns, but said the Church was aware of the issue and "working on it".

"It's a path that we've been on," he said.

"Pope Benedict had the courage to dissolve a female congregation which was at a certain level, because this slavery of women had entered it - slavery, even to the point of sexual slavery - on the part of clerics or the founder."

Alessandro Gisotti of the Vatican press office later told CBS News that the order in question had been based in France.

Bryan Rogers, 31, was charged in US District Court in Madison Monday with knowingly persuading a minor to engage in sexually explicit conduct for the purpose of producing a visual depiction of such conduct.

According to his arrest affidavit, Rogers befriended the underage victim via the online game Roblox sometime in December.

The two began exchanging messages around Christmas Eve, and soon after the teen confided in Rogers that she was being sexually assaulted at home.

The 14-year-old girl had been missing since January 13 when she vanished from her home in Madisonville, Tennessee. Pruitt, her mother's husband who adopted her, has been arrested on rape charges

Over a series of messages, the 14-year-old begged Rogers to help her and revealed that she was having suicidal thoughts because of the alleged sexual abuse.

'I can't just stay here,' she wrote to Rogers. 'If u don't help me somehow I might as well kill my [expletive] self like I've been planning to do.'

But instead of contacting the authorities, according to court documents cited by The Washington Post, Rogers instructed the girl to secretly record her 41-year-old stepfather, Randall Pruitt, raping her as proof that she was telling the truth.

When the girl tried to push back, Rogers expressed concern that without the video evidence, he would get in 'a hell of a lot of trouble' with the law for helping her escape from her family's home in Tennessee.

He also pointed out that he was putting his freedom at risk for a virtual stranger whom he has not even met.

'If you can get that video I can get you out of there but without it you will just wind up back with your dad and I'll be in trouble,' the man told the teenager.

Despite her initial misgivings, the girl agreed to videotape Pruitt allegedly assaulting her and sent the video to Rogers on January 10, according to the affidavit.

On January 14, Rogers drove more than 700 miles to pick up the 14-year-old from her family's home in Madisonville, Tennessee, and took her to Madison, Wisconsin, where he lived with his mother.

Last Thursday, law enforcement officials searched Rogers' home and found the missing Tennessee girl hiding in a basement closet, after Rogers previously claimed she was not there.

Pruitt and the girl's mother, Christina, made emotional, televised appeals for her to come home earlier this week

When questioned by investigators, the 31-year-old claimed he did not send the seven-minute video showing what he described as a 'full-blown rape,' which was discovered on his phone, because it was 'blurry' and he thought it would not hold up in court.

He admitted to driving through the night with the teen and staying away from tollways and gas stations equipped with surveillance cameras to avoid detection. He also smashed the girl's phone so should could not be tracked.

If convicted, Rogers faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years and a maximum of 30 years in federal prison. He remains in the Dane County Jail.

Pruitt, who legally adopted the victim after marrying her mother, Christina, was arrested on Thursday and charged with rape.

He made his initial court appearance on Tuesday and had his bond set at $2million. Pruitt is due back in court on May 13.

Days before his arrest last week, Pruitt made an emotional television appearance where he said life had 'stopped' since his wife's daughter went missing.

'Life has just ceased for us since the day she left,' Pruitt said during a press conference.

'It's like having your soul ripped out of your body. You can't think, you can't eat, you can't sleep, you can't rest.

'She has never misbehaved or been a bad kid ever. This is way out in left field for her.

'Please come home, we do miss you terribly,' he said.

The girl's mother has not been charged in connection to the rape, even though the victim claimed in her exchanges with Rogers that she had tried telling Christina about the sexual abuse.

'She was my sunshine, and now my sunshine is gone,' Christina told reporters during her and Pruitt's appeal to the public last week. 'Please help us find our baby, please.

'We're very heartbroken. I miss her. I don't understand...none of us understand,' she said.

WATE 6 On Your Side has recently interviewed Christina, who insisted that she knew nothing about the alleged sexual abuse of her daughter, and said she was now focused on coping with the trauma and caring for her three other children.

Kenneth Wayne Thompson, 35, claims he should be spared the death penalty for the alleged double murder due to his beliefs in Scientology

A Missouri man accused of bludgeoning his sister-in-law and her boyfriend to death with a hatchet because they treated their son with psychiatric drugs is leaning on Scientology to save him from the death penalty.
Kenneth Wayne Thompson, 35, allegedly drove non-stop for 24 hours from his home in rural Missouri to reach the couple in Prescott Valley, Arizona, before murdering them and torching their home to cover his tracks.

Prosecutors say he should face the death penalty because the killings were premeditated - but he claims his belief in Scientology dictated his marathon drive.

Thompson says he had to save his wife's nephew, who was taking medication for psychological issues - something Scientologists reject.

The murder suspect believed the nephew’s eternal soul was at risk due to the drugs.

Jurors were asked about their views on Scientology during jury selection in the Arizona murder trial, the the Arizona Republic reported.

Prominent Scientologist Tom Cruise was even mentioned during opening arguments, according to the paper.

Cruise went on a now-infamous rant about psychiatric drugs to Matt Lauer during an interview promoting his Steven Spielberg directed film War of the Worlds.

Thompson’s attorneys have asked for testimony from Scientology experts, including actress and church absconder Leah Remini - and will use church records and documents to make their defense.

The troubled great-grandson of a former New York Post publisher could face life in prison for the attempted murder of two police officers on Staten Island two years ago.

Patrick Allen, 27, was shot three times by cops in January 2017 after a night-gone-wrong of test-firing illegal guns in a snowy woods with a friend.

Allen and his friend, Jonathan Derbyshire, 27, carried the illegal guns and prescription drugs into the wooded area, where they were were firing shots moments before concerned nearby residents phoned 911.

When officers arrived, Derbyshire sprinted through the trees and Allen pulled a handgun.

Cops opened fire and shot Allen - who was wearing a heavy ballistic vest - three times in the left leg and once in the arm, resulting in his hospitalization and an arm sling.

On Wednesday, Allen pleaded not guilty to two new counts of first-degree attempted murder of a police officer, a crime that could be punishable to 20 years to life.

His charges were upgraded Wednesday from the initial top charge of possession of a loaded firearm.

Allen is set to appear in court next on March 27.

His attorney Jay Goldberg said in a statement to the New York Post: 'The new charges are a mark of desperation fabricated by the prosecution when they realized they couldn’t prove their case.

'This is designed as a bullying pressure tactic to try to force [Allen] to take a plea.'

The 27-year-old already has eight sealed arrests for crimes such as drug peddling.

He has been suspected of regularly purchasing legal marijuana in Colorado and bringing it back with him to sell in New York for a profit.

Allen is part of an influential New York family filled with bankers, politicians, and a federal judge.

Another source told the post that Allen's father, criminal defense lawyer Gerald Allen, told cops that he 'basically washed his hands' of Patrick and wants nothing to do with him.

PATRICK ALLEN'S INFLUENTIAL NEW YORK FAMILY
Allen's mom, Tess Leopold, is a former Brooklyn Prosecutor.

His grandmother, Adele Hall Sweet, is married to Manhattan federal Judge Robert Sweet.

His great-grandmother is former New York Post owner Dorothy 'Dolly' Schiff.

Leopold's late father, A. Frederic Leopold, was mayor of Beverly Hills, and her grandmother was Schiff, whose grandfather was legendary financier Jacob Schiff, according to the New York Post.

Following Allen's shooting and arrest, cops seized his red-painted gun and searched for Derbyshire.

Searching the woods, they found an AR-15-style assault rifle with a scope and stand, a .38 Smith & Wesson revolver, a .45-caliber pistol, a large hunting knife, prescription pills and spent shell casings.

Derbyshire was found around dawn.

Neighborhood resident, Pearl Roe 70 said to the Post: 'They were searching around all morning and then at about 6:30 they caught him right here at the end of our property.

'There were so many cops it was incredible. I've never seen that many in one place.'

Allen was treated at Staten Island University Hospital North, and then released into police custody.
