A trucker convoy of “patriots” is heading to the U.S. border with Mexico next week, as the standoff between Texas and the federal government intensifies. The organizers of the “Take Our Border Back” convoy have called themselves “God’s army” and say they’re on a mission to stand up against the “globalists” who they claim are conspiring to keep U.S. borders open and destroy the country.

‘I didn’t Intentionally Rape You’: Officer suspended and charged after raping woman while she was feeding her child.

This mfkr had been a cop for that department only 2 months

According to the affidavit, Hain was in the home on the day of the assault and approached the woman between 4 and 5 p.m. after she got out of the shower. The victim said Hain had a “weird grin” on his face before she told him she did not want to be touched.

Hain is then accused of pulling the woman’s towel off before pinning her to the couch and sexually assaulting her, the affidavit said.

The victim repeatedly said “no,” told Hain to stop several times and hit him throughout the assault, according to charging documents.

During the sexual assault, Hain is accused of pushing the woman’s head into the couch to the point where she could not move. When the assault ended, the woman waited for Hain to leave for work before going to a friend’s house and contacting police.

Later that day, the woman called Hain on her cell phone and asked him why he continued to have sexual intercourse with her despite her calls for him to stop, the affidavit said.

During the phone call, Hain said, “I knew you were not into it,” and went on to say “It’s probably one of my deplorables, one of my things

When the woman explained that she should not have to worry about being raped and sexually assaulted in her own home, Hain responded, “I’m deeply sorry” and “I didn’t intentionally rape you,” the affidavit said

Florida Man Buys Porsche 911 Turbo With Homemade Check

Oh Florida, land of alligators and crazy criminal plots. The latest scheme involved Casey William Kelley allegedly making a false banknote to fraudulently purchase a $140,000 Porsche 911 Turbo from a dealership. The 42-year-old man has been charged with grand theft of a motor vehicle and uttering a false banknote, says the Walton County Sheriff’s Office.

According to authorities, Kelley used his home computer and printer to copy and print a convincing-looking cashier’s check. While he’s sitting in jail at the moment and will likely be behind bars for some time, Kelley could have a future in graphic design once he gets out, if he’s looking to live an honest life that is.

The dealership, which is located in Destin, Florida had no idea the cashier’s check Kelley provided wasn’t from a bank. With the car keys and title in hand, Kelley happily drove off, likely thinking he would get away with the alleged fraud.

Of course, once the dealership learned the cashier’s check was no good it contacted the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office. Police were on the hunt for their suspect, who surfaced not too long afterward.

With confidence from passing the bad cashier’s check at the car dealership, authorities say Kelley went to a jeweler in Miramar Beach where he presented another one for $61,521 for three Rolex watches. Perhaps having been burned in the past, the jeweler held onto the watches until the check cleared, which it didn’t. Police were then able to track Kelley down and retrieve the Porsche 911 Turbo as well as take him into custody.

Unfortunately, we’ve seen quite a few alleged fraud cases this year, as well as more traditional car thefts. Anyone selling a vehicle, whether a private party or dealer should take steps to protect themselves against the different possible schemes used by would-be criminals.

Driver who struck and killed pedestrian in crosswalk fined $100, says APD

The exceptionally light penalty given to the driver who killed Higgins is standard practice in Anchorage, where the criminal justice system and law enforcement routinely decline to hold drivers responsible for striking and injuring or killing pedestrians and other vulnerable road users. Anchorage residents may be surprised to learn that, by default, drivers who break traffic laws and kill pedestrians face significantly lower penalties than those levied for littering, chasing moose, or using studded tires out of season.

"The city of Aurora, Colorado, reached a $1.9 million settlement with a Black woman who was removed from her car at gunpoint with her underage family members after police officers mistakenly thought she had stolen her vehicle. The woman, Brittney Gilliam, filed a civil rights lawsuit against the city and police officials in 2021, alleging that officers searched her and her family members at gunpoint without probable cause or evidence of a crime. She said in the lawsuit that they were targeted because they are Black."
