I thought I would share this tad bit of info. Y'all may not have to deal with this, but I recently got everything related to blaxploitationpride.org completely nuked from google's search.
Nothing and I mean NOTHING would turn up from my website. I went from a page rank of being in the top 3 under the key word "blaxploitation" to not even existing.
I have learned a lot over the last couple of days about site crawling, robot files, sitemapping and a whole lot more I can't even remember.
I have been able to get back in the mix of things, but it seems like I'm going to have to start from a lower rank than I was 3 months ago.
Keep your sight fresh and pay attention to traffic. I knew something was wrong when I went from 600+ views a day to under 100. People couldn't find my site anymore. Google's search has a lot of guidelines that can easily go unnoticed if our not aware.
Just my two cents. Continue the great achievements my brothers. Y'all have inspired me to get back on my grind.

Yeah they are, but it's also others as well. Little things are flying right under our nose they we may not even notice until it's too late.
I honestly have never heard of a robot.txt file until last week. Google made some changes to that file when they done updates to their webmaster tool and sites. No telling when it happen, but when I realized it I found out that the have completely ignored by blog from the search engine using that file. Of course that wasn't the only thing, but it was the first major thing I noticed.
This is what I had in my robot file before I changed it.

The latest google modification (Penguin 5) was brutal. A lot of sites dropped into oblivion.

I am going to have to development a new format for my video content. The videos are mainly youtube videos and I'm at the mercy of other people's account. That is why I am trying to create my own stream based server, so i can have more control of the content.
I'm essentially at point 4, 5, and 6, but I am having a tough time staying up to date with what is going on. So far there are over 1100 post on the blog. I will be working on
There is a lot of relevancy to today. I just need to focus more on the connection. I can historically post whenever, but I am being left behind.

Didn't know the videos were on other people's account.
I do think you need to devote 2 weeks to downloading all those youtube videos.
So far what you are leveraging is a link to the videos.
You need control of the end product.
Pay a youth to download all of them to a hard drive.
Worse case do a taskrabbit to get it done.
Build from there.
Also look into in-video tagging and commenting of the content
It's similar to soundcloud's use of tagging.
I believe you can do this with Adobe Pro

Hey I like the updates but something is up with the days you might want to fix it. Also you said you did some seo work but its kind of vague what you actually did, I think it would be beneficial to go in depth in explanation about the seo stuff. Thats a big part of what I'm hoping to learn how to do. Good job thus far though.

We haven't actually started the SEO yet...just worked on the keywords. I'm going to get into detail later before it's actually started... running low on bandwidth.
Who is your server host and are y'all limited to bandwidth usage per month?
going to the site and reading the articles you'll see links to share across social media sites liking it on facebook or retweeting things. those are the easiest way to drive traffic the more you share the more people see the more they come and look.
also feel free if you belong to other message boards to choose stories that you like or you think or funny, informative, new and haven't broke anywhere else yet and post them linking back to blunbit. the more people see the more traffic it gets and it's appreciated.
we're working hard building content up even during this holiday times so every bit that you share counts and each time you share counts too.
Quick question this post has started me to write a journal to update my goals and I am so far exceeding my goals however I have a site that's dependent on a type of year (its a football blog) how can I keep user interest up during the off season?
