Our 1st BGOL team has launched their product.

Peace,

To be clear: I was just making a joke because both of those brothers post on BGOL minus caps. Blunt Bit is a fantastic, thoughtful product and I think the sky is the limit.

Peace.

What kind of site improvements did the free lancer do? And how much?

They're still going on right now.

But
-we fixed the size of the logo and the header so that it isn't as large to get rid of space at the top of the page in your browser and tablets

-fixed the ipad jumbled text issues

-going to fix the sharing options to include all of the major ones, and have them big enough to influence possibility of people sharing.

-added a funniest bits section to the right hand side of the page so that if you don't want to scroll to the bottom or pick a page you can just look to the right and click on an article from there.

-fixing thumbnails

-fixed a few wordpress issues

and a couple of other things to make it optimal and ready for prime time.

you can see the changes are mostly completed right now

http://bit.ly/18YbSu6

just have to finish the sharing button sizes and then the site is really ready to go.

Hey the uncle Phil piece has his age at 68; he was 65. " He was only 68 years old." Keep it pushing.

Fellas, I have a couple of question. I want to do something similar, or at least understand some of the behind the scene things. Where do I post them to get some responses? Here? Another thread?

Went to the site and it looks great. All involved should be proud

Curious also if there are plans to do any type of monetization like a newsletter or list? And if so, if there is any type of analytics being used. I learned late in the game that one has alot to do with the other. Its good to know where your visitors are coming from and what they are looking for when they arrive.

Anyways...best of luck!

Yeah. Analytics are there. Site traffic grew 100 percent over the last 24 hours. Monetization probably won't start until late February but the plans are being discussed. We'll start disclosing traffic stats next month.

Good luck on this, with the characters from this board having input, I'm sure it will do well.

P.s. Mad i didn't get a piece of the action:cool:

thank you guys for the support. that was the beta look now we're going to transform the look and feel and define clearly how dynamic the site actually is so you get it as soon as you go to it.

so look for vast improvements coming up really soon

I think we're all patiently waiting for the traffic stats and traffic sources

How have y'all been able to grow your Facebook likes so fast? Are you buying them? Buying ads? Organic?

The first set was purchased just so that the page wouldn't be so bare. The rest will come organically.

Just read today that they are cracking down on that shit, they are banning entire accounts.

I would'nt use that as a methodology to follow

Yeah. They are definitely watching it. We just did a very small amount though that would stay under the radar. Normally I wouldn't advise it but for social sites like this, it does help to already have "people" on the page.

Definitely. "Is it worth the integrity of my finger click to 'like' this rag tag posse endorsed by only 4 others? No, I'd much rather associate my net integrity with this identical group liked by 504 others. Plus, they're already up and running; I don't have to wait for a start up that never happens."

The perception of acceptance, interest and a following builds acceptance, interest and a following.

I usually leave the stats part off of the social media share buttons until there is a good amount of traction
