Our 1st BGOL team has launched their product.

My blessings are bestowed upon this team and its venture.

Greater blessings will be earned with the installation of a Daily Prayer section, the ceasing of operations on every seventh day and the recognition of all Holy days.

Is something up with the launch factors site I haven't been able to access it all day

Have a ticket in with the hosting company. Been having issues the last 24 hours with some zombie processes that are eating all up the server resources.

Looks good my dudes....

Just a heads up...not sure if anyone has said it but the layout is fucked up on my iPad.

Digging the site.

Im gone drop a PM to you all. E, L-Bop, & the man with the hat. Uniform to see what you think.

Ill drop it later tonight.

One question.

Is Go Daddy a solid place to purchase domain names ?

Yes.

You could always transfer it to another provider.

Domain name registration is super straight forward.

You will not be stuck to 1 company

Looks like the css code for the slider is missing the responsive part

So it overwrites the other part of the screen

After the fix, clear the browsing data on your ipad so that you get a fresh copy of the site and not an old cached copy.

Good start fam.

Here is my brief critique.

The good:

The site looks very clean and professional. The main home page is very appealing. The search works great. I am definitely adding it to my bookmarks. I would add it even if you weren't affiliated with the bgol fam.

The bad:

Spacing seems off when viewed through IE10 and Chrome. Mainly the spacing between headers and video and the space between the next video to header.

I would add:

I would add dates to the articles.

Expound a little. My net experience consist of clicking a rat.

Long story short: Godaddy deleted both my site and backups "by mistake" and offered me a damn one month hosting credit. That was in 2002 and haven't messed with them since. I didn't have any help tickets with them or anything. They just deleted my site files and backup files and responded with a "my bad" afterwards :smh::smh::smh:

Thank you for the feedback the good and the bad.

we'll work to address the spacing and other issues immediately. there are a couple tweaks we are going to make in order to optimize the site even further.

also will look into the ipad issues.. we're on it and thanks for continuing to check the site out. we're going to be updated every single day without fail and continue to grow it.

I did. I just didn't have the latest version backed up offline. That was 12 years ago though so I always back up the files now. That shit was infuriating though...especially dealing with their customer "service".

Que,

You don't want to add dates to the articles unless it's news type articles.

Definitely don't put dates in the url permalink

When users show up on a blog page and see a date 6 months ago, they wouldn't even read it though the information contained in it may still be valid.
