Nas contribution. How to drop and atomic bomb on your enemy. Etherbiggie ushered in a whole new flow for the 90's
pac ushered in a style that still lives on
jayz excelled with his business as his foundation was always hiphop music
Nas?.....was a really good MC but how did he really effect the culture of hiphop
dont know, but jay showed out on 444 nas better bring it
Me neither at the time. But he proved us wrong. He was the shitThis.
As a young'n jay never made an impression on me.
Jigga was well balanced. Dudes respected him and chicks loved him. He embodied the hustler4:44 was an overrated album. Nigga only got 2 classics. Jigga impresses dumb niggas with that shit he be spitting. That shit ain't slick like that.

I respect his hustle, but don't try to hustle me. I knew he was the Pied Piper from day one.
I was on 171 on my way looking for you.I was giving anybody who was saying otherwise a leg to stand on. If we count Lil Kim & Lil Cease verses I thing BIG would really be TOP 5!
I think I can find 1. lol
I think when folks claim he's repetitive, it has to do with his subject matter yes, but more so to do with his delivery.
His delivery was monotonous and emotionally charged. He made you feel it because he was almost crying on tracks.
At that time, Pac was also the slapstick rapper that was trying to compete vs a deadpan NYC. An era of emcees who were feeding us mental acuity and witty slick talk across the board consistently, Pac never went for that. He simply gave you his truth as loud as he could.
It's like trying to put Kevin Hart amongst the greatest comedians to ever do it. Yea you have your moments and your good at what you do, but you've got a ways to go before you're next to a Chapelle or a Rock or a Murphy or a Carlin.
It was dope absolutely, but it was also his ceiling and at that time, he needed a bit more to command EVERYONE'S respect I think.

What do you think of the new album?I just gave you the types of dudes that respect him.I respect his hustle, but don't try to hustle me. I knew he was the Pied Piper from day one.

Why?Damn. Surprised PAC is winnin. Or losing
What do you think of the new album?
I ain't talking bout what he spitting. I'm talking bout his hustle. How to not be jus a artist and gettin lil Wayned out here. Let's look at some accomplishments. Def jam. Bkln nets deal. Tidal. Roc nation. And some political ties. + Beyoncé bread and fansI just gave you the types of dudes that respect him.I respect his hustle, but don't try to hustle me. I knew he was the Pied Piper from day one.

Very influential. The most imitated but never duplicatedWhy?
Pac was a clown
I don't have a problem with that given its context. Moot point in my book.Delivery?
Come on man, isn't it Jay-Z who constantly recycled Big's, Nas and Tupac's lyrics?![]()
Very influential. The most imitated but never duplicated
Most rappers favorite rapper

I don't know how he's winning. The timb wearers is the minority. PAC wins damn near the rest of the 52 states. Even got a lot of PAC lovers in ny. I'm boggledDamn a lot of construction wearing tims around their necks chose pac![]()
Yea okVery influential. The most imitated but never duplicated
Most rappers favorite rapper
Eminem. Ja rule. Master p. The list goes onName some East Coast MC's that said Pac were their favorite rapper, while living or after death?
I don't know any. I have not even heard Treach or Buckshot say no shit like that, and they were close to him.

Oh yeah and jeezy. I think even nas said that. Or if nas didn't say it he sure acted like it.Name some East Coast MC's that said Pac were their favorite rapper, while living or after death?
I don't know any. I have not even heard Treach or Buckshot say no shit like that, and they were close to him.

You named a white boy, and 3 other garbage mcs.
Exactly. I said most rappers. I didn't say east coast rappers. You said "most rappers favorite rapper", then you name one East Coast MCYou named a white boy, and 3 other garbage mcs.
Give that "most rappers" list, reputable East Coast MC's please.

Exactly. I said most rappers. I didn't say east coast rappers.
Whether you consider them garbage has nothing to do with it. They had an impact. The thread does not specify who's the best or worst Mc to value who your keeping
I don't have a problem with that given its context. Moot point in my book.
I’m from NYC and wouldn’t call 2Pac overrated. 2Pac just had too many corny rappers on his songs, where I couldn’t listen to majority of his music.
Cmon. You confusing yourself kid. Rappers are universal. Mcs are concentrated in ny. There's a difference.Where have "most rappers or MC's" originated, good or garbage? East Coast, right? You are the one that said that "most rappers favorite rapper" bullshit.

All eyes on me and Machiavelli. Serious albumsTo be honest there's so much subpar 2Pac material out there that it dilutes his work. That is why "Me Against the World" is my favorite Pac album. It's a focused, more heartfelt album.
When at Def Jam, he spent more time promoting his shit, than promoting the other artists on the label. He killed movements in the NY rap scene, to make his product stronger.
tell me what song is fucking with i gave you power?, is wonder why they call you bitch fucking with black girl lost? what's fucking with live nigga rap? nas had pac's people produce take it in blood and silent murder. i never heard anything like from stretch and live squad that produced for pac.
pac's 1st 2 albums are not good albums. they have good songs sprinkle in between there but they're not good. he doesn't start making cohesive albums until me against the world. and for the whoever wrote ny is going to ny , pac was born in ny. he made one of his best albums with easy mo bee.
nah. It was written was that shit. It was all down hill after that album.2 of America's Most, No More Pain, Life Goes On, Ambitions, Only God Can Judge me. And the list goes on. More in depth. Talking about real shit. You know, real life.
Premo blessed the dude but please. You're trying to box me in a corner to say that Me And My Girlfriend is inspired by I Gave You Power.
It Was Written was about mafioso, fetucinni, mosalinni. It's cool but not no AEOM. On AEOM, Pac is the mob. Bruhs weren't buying to that Nas Escobar shit. Tupac came with some real shit. And it went well.
