The New Zealand government has issued a warning for its citizens in the U.S., just days before the 2020 presidential election. The statement warned NZ citizens against several forms of political activity, including rallies and protests, between the November 3 election date and the presidential inauguration in January 2021. The warning noted that the U.S. has seen mass protests across the nation in 2020, and in some cases, police response has included the use of rubber bullets and pepper spray. The government warned its citizens to stay away from all political activity and civil unrest, and to continue to monitor the situations on the ground.

This was hardly the first coup. I believe that the FIRST one was in New Orleans (unless the caveat is "majority Black") during Reconstruction.
