**Official NFL Boycott Thread**

Exactly my point.

Trust me man, I'm tryna know what the Boys are doing as well but for me, this means much more than anything the NFL can offer. They're not paying my bills nor should I being pay theirs any longer in any form.

To each their own.

I get it. We all fighting for the same cause we just doing it differently.

Everytime someone from the NFL opens their mouth it makes the boycott of the NFL easier. They are going to keep talking and talking until the only black fans they have left are sell out coons.
Let's hope so. Personally I have no problem with that notion.

NFL ratings struggles getting noticed by Wall Street

TV ratings for NFL games continue to sputter in comparison to the prior year, even when compared to last year’s sputtered ratings. Wall Street is noticing.

“Continued declines in NFL ratings again this season will likely place further downward pressure on media stocks,” Guggenheim Securities analyst Michael Morris told the Hollywood Reporter (via SportsBusiness Daily). “[T]he NFL is an indicator of overall primetime programming ratings performance.”

NFL games, which currently are broadcast by NBC, CBS, FOX, and ESPN, generate $2.5 billion in advertising revenue, which means that a 10-percent ratings drop could cost more than $200 million.

As noted by Richard Deitsch of SI.com (and harvested by Sports Media Watch), nine of 13 broadcasting windows through Week Two have shown a drop when compared to 2016.

Attributing blame for the drop has been a slippery proposition. Last year, unprecedented interest in the presidential election was a major reason for the decline — and it’s entirely possible that ongoing interest in politics and world events (as evidenced by record ratings for cable news networks) has kept people from watching as much football as usual.

Whatever the reason, the league should take this seriously, doing everything possible to grow and hold an audience. As recently argued here, the league should be willing and able to slide Sunday games around for any and every given week in order to put the best possible games on the biggest possible platforms. This week, for example, games like Texans-Patriots would generate more interest in the 4:25 p.m. ET national window than Bengals-Packers or Chiefs-Chargers, the two CBS options for a slot that typically draws some of the biggest audiences of the week.

With Trumps latest antics and his sons of bitches rant, how much longer before black athletes start realizing their power and actually start using it?

I see many are starting to wake up.

For once I'm happy with the shit Trump is saying. His divisiveness is only going to help shed the light on this problem.

Fans Should Boycott NFL Games Over National Anthem Protests, Trump Says
The president said he wanted NFL owners to "get that son of a bitch off the field," an implicit reference to Colin Kaepernick and others who have protested like him.

President Donald Trump went after players protesting in the National Football League during his speech Friday in Alabama to campaign for Sen. Luther Strange.

While Trump took the stage in Huntsville to ostensibly rally support for Strange in his upcoming Republican primary, his speech veered away from politics to attack NFL players who protest during the national anthem.

Last year, then-San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick was booed for taking a knee during the national anthem while his team played the San Diego Chargers. Kaepernick said the silent protest was meant to bring awareness to injustices against minorities in the United States. It has been a source of controversy ever since.

Kaepernick remains a free agent, and many believe that his inability to land with a new team is due to his political stance. But inspired by his example, many other NFL players have replicated his actions.

But Trump blasted that form of protest during his speech. “That’s a total disrespect of our heritage,” the president told the crowd. “That’s a total disrespect of everything we stand for.”

Trump told the audience that anyone attending NFL games should leave if they see a player protesting during the anthem and that players should be fired for the action.

“Wouldn’t you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, to say, ‘get that son of a bitch off the field right now, he’s fired?’” Trump said.

The majority of players protesting during games have been players of color, using their platforms in an attempt to highlight racial injustice.

This isn’t the first time Trump has taken shots at Kaepernick. Trump has tweeted a few times about the athlete and even took credit for Kaepernick’s inability to get a job in the league after his protests.

Nonetheless, Kaepernick’s message appears to have resonated elsewhere in sports.

Earlier this year, several New England Patriots players refused to attend the White House, a traditional visit for teams who win sports championships. Some of the players who stayed away said that Trump displayed racist rhetoric throughout his campaign and that they wouldn’t feel accepted in the White House.

And in professional basketball, not long before the Alabama rally, Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry announced that he wouldn’t attend the teams’ own visit to the White House, USA Today reported.

″(Athletes are) all trying to do what we can,” Curry said. “We’re using our platforms, using our opportunities to shed light on that, so that’s kind of where I stand on it. I don’t think us not going to the White House is going to miraculously make everything better, but this is my opportunity to voice that.”

Bernice King, daughter of civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr., took to Twitter on Friday night to denounce Trump’s speech.

“A nation is people, not a symbol,” King wrote. “A protest for the eradication of racism that violates millions of those people is not disrespect.”

I would LOVE to see a show of power from the NFL tomorrow.

But these players have showed me who they are continuingly.

Prove me wrong, please

It's going to be interesting. I know the NFL is really in full panic mode right now. White folks will have strokes tomorrow if these players actually show some fucking heart.

I may suspend my boycott

temporarily

JUST see what these players do tomorrow.
This is the move today. They have a real chance to stand the fuck up and truly show their power and I'll be watching for that.

Make these owners and this league shake. Nothing a white man hates more than unity.
