Same here. I could only watch the final OVA on two occaisions. Also enjoyed the many soundtracks that were released for the anime. Seeing Kenshin die was a bit much for me. :smh:

"Ongoing Manga"

A girl named Haruka Tōyama happens to be in the care of a certain company because she can see the future, but she wants to get away, so using her abilities she finds a blind though strong man and asks him to help her as a body guard 'til death do them part. The man, named Mamoru Hijikata, quickly dismiss her request as a joke from a small 12 year old kid, only to realize what shady business has beginning to unfold when people willing to do anything are desperately searching for the girl. As she predicted, Mamoru has vast experience in shady business himself, and will not be pushed around easily by any criminal.

... Is 'protection' the only reason that Haruka approached Mamoru? Or could it be something else?

which is a good starting point for gantz for someone who's been watching the show I've heard the second half deviates quite badly from the books

There is/was/are a couple of Gantz threads on the main board if they haven't been moved already. Wish I could give you a better answer but honestly I don't remember; it might be best to start over from the beginning with the manga. It's a quick read cause there are chapters that don't even have any dialogue. But take head to what you heard, if you haven't seen the 2nd season don't. Keep that nice memory of the first in your head and start reading. It's horrible.

Start at Volume 8, that's where the anime deviated from the manga.

I thought to repost this from an old thread, now that there is an official manga thread. A user by the name of 'kunoichi-san' on Deviantart created a fan fiction of the 4th Hokage called 'Yondaime Gaiden'. It was a pretty interesting read. I hope that at some point Masashi Kishimoto creates some story telling of the 4th's exploits. Anyways, you can check it out be going to this link,

Yeah, its a fan fic.

But I think they are going to talk more about the 4th in Naruto, given the events that are taking place. Kishimoto probably trying to keep him a mystery for as long as he can.

Look here for a good mystery. Did you read Gantz ?
It glorifies everything that is seem to be bad about manga and anime, and makes you ashamed to be human in the process.
The anime of Gantz is child's play compared to the manga. Definitely not for the squeamish.

Then again the story is good, sick & twisted. :lol:
