The shit didn't make sense. I don't need no fuckin' romance, just for an angle to make sense. They spent about as much time on the fuckin' CAPE as they did with Lois and Clark. THEY went down that path. They just came up short. You sound like you on some fanboy shit. You liked the flick. I liked the flick. I just didn't think the shit was "awesome", so don't get mad at me because I'm not as easily amused by shit like this. It was fun for what it was. Kal-El kicked some shit and stepped up and became Superman. Aight. Cool. Whatever.

No one knew just how powerful Superman would become so his father had every right to worry about him. Also the idea that he's so powerful everyone would love him is BS because as Supes himself said..they feared him cause they couldn't control him.
As for the fight scenes. Knowing how the final fight scene ended the idea of being invulnerable only factors in when you're stronger than the person you're fighting. Supes wasn't.

Damn good movie. Glad the producers/director approached the story the way they did. I don't think Superman's story and character allow for the depth of character development of an Iron Man or Batman.
I put this flick almost up there with Superman 2.

There was one thing that kinda irked me about Zod. The one scene were Supes kicked his ass after pulling off his protective mask, forcing him to come in contact with Earth's environment - then move forward in the movie and he was all like "I've been training for years to control my senses" and he starts flying as well as or better than Clarke. I was like
That was kinda bullshit but I guess they had to explain it away.
Also, his fighting skills against Zod were much better than his fighting skills against Faora. It could have been the psychology of him fighting a woman, I guess. Still, she was fuckin' his shit up but when he fought Zod, he was almost on par with him.

Superman ultimately becomes who he is supposed to be by being a super-hero. His father actively worked against him being who he should be. I don't find much redeemable about his father at all other than telling Superman not to be bad person, which any parent would.

Really liked the little shit like the heat vision ice tunnels and those floating robotic AI doohickeys. Don't really like the movie trend of greatly portrayed villains who die on film, I always want them to leave an opening for them to come back harder in a future movie.

I'm sorry. Man Of Steel is a MUST see for all of us super hero movie watchers, but I have to disagree with the statement, "...the action was better than the fight sequence in The Avengers...". In my opinion The Avenges was the best superhero movie of all time and the use of 3D was better. I just saw Man Of Steel in 3D Imax and trying to remember a good scene where the 3D was killer?? I still remember the sky opening up in The Avengers and the aliens coming to attack Earth in 3D. Again, Man of Steel is a MUST see & the best SUPERMAN movie of ALL TIME!

I do have an issue with Jor-El being as good a fighter as he was. If he was a scientist how the hell was he able to fight on the same level as General Zod....a dude born and bred just to be a warrior?

Only about 20-30 people in the 8:30 am showing. Those were the people that wanted to beat the crowd and kids more than anything else. Only 2 kids in the theatre.

Yeah, they stepped on their own logic with that one, considering that no births on Krypton were natural and that everyone genetically engineered to do what they do.
I guess with Supes having the DNA codes of all of his people within him, that would explain his varied skillset but it wouldn't explain his fluctuating fighting skills. I'mma lay off that. It didn't bother me that much. Not like teleporting Lois.
