I'm not sure what everyones goal are but given how volatile coins are why not just invest in a coin that is somewhat stable, has a strong community or seems to have a working plan in place.
Having a trading mindset with coins just seems like you are more than likely to lose more or break even if lucky.
I bought Dash because they seem to be trying to make a user friendly platform and be mainstream, bitcoin because they are the biggest name and if the ETF goes through the price will move higher, ethrum because there are a lot of projects using it including potential big corporations and of course xrp.
Unless some major event happens, I can see xrp going lower especially with bitcoin and dash latest run. I don't believe anything major is happening until sometime in April.
I also bought burst, golem, factom and one other. I'm only putting real money behind factom from this group.
I think it's time I post this. Anyone who has invested a dime in Ripple like myself should know the whole story and history of a project that predates bitcoin believe it or not.
I feel the same way. That's why I'm looking mainly at Ethereum and Monero.
I think short-haul trading is more for people who are able to watch the shit all day and research the coin and speculate with people in the know - everything they need to do to actually turn a profit.
Half-assing is not the way to go.
I lost money (very little money, but an L is an L) on NXC and PASC for not being up on game and being late to the party. Got that money back turning profits with ETH and XMR, tho.
Friday night, bought into Golem, when nobody could even tell you what it was, where it came from, nothing. Just that it was new and the coin to buy right now. I saw the shit drop from .02 to 5000 to 2700 this morning. I was LUCKY that I bought it 3300 and it bounced from 3500-3800 a couple of times Saturday, and the last time I saw it at 3500 was when I sold it last night and got my money back and a bit more to cover the fees.
The riskier, short trades are just not for me. Timing is everything, mixed with a bit of luck. They're more about being at the right place at the the right time, and usually, that's not me.
This right here
I lost a bunch of money fuckin around with Golem
Luckily I only invested $150 dollars worth
But still I lost damn near half of that
Sometimes its hard to do these trades & stay on top of things when you have a regular 9-to-5 job also
These coins on Poloniex are crazy, out of the clear blue there could be a random coin that pumps 40% for no reason at all
Sometimes you make money by doing your tech analysis first, and sometimes you just have to be lucky & be in the right place at the right time
I'm looking at Nexium (NXC) right now
Is this coin going to pump up by the Wednesday game demo, or not?
I know a bunch of us bought NXC a couple days ago, hoping that it jumps to the 10,000-12,000 range

Yup Yup
Its crazy how much these altcoins are tanking
I guess we will see more of this for the next 2 weeks or so, until the Winkelvoss ETF decision
Hopefully NXC jumps up some, tomorrow, so I can at least make a small profit
i hope soBitcoin killing alt coins hopefully NXC hits 10-12k its already up 11%.
Imma use those NXC profits to go long on some undervalued solid coins like Moreno and ETH.
Although Stratis still got me interested in as another year long investment.
Ripple is going to take time. It will eventually hit $.01 this year then $.10 and we will all feel better.
I love the potential of Ripple, and I'm definitely still on board with it as a high risk, high reward investment opportunity. But after seeing all the random pump & dump activity with the other altcoins for two months (and their constant reaction to bitcoin), I think it would be foolish not to acknowledge the steady investment opportunity of just plain old bitcoin (BTC). We may have missed the boat on the super-millionaire come-up with bitcoin 6 years ago, but this thing is still consistently beating the stock market in average annual growth. And even though it's becoming mainstream, we are still ahead of the masses. It could still pump considerably if the ETF gets approved. However, even if it doesn't, I don't think its gonna decline. I'm cool if my money only triples over a 3 year period. For the long term investment guys who haven't already, I think you should consider divesting some assets into just holding Bitcoin (I'm going 50/50 with XRP). Watching XRP daily is torture, so I'm gonna sit back & hope to enjoy the steady bitcoin return.
Shut up nigga.... We tryin to get this bread....Can the op please fucking edit the title of this thread?! How can we take the financial advice of this guy seriously when he doesn't know he difference between their and there? This is 3rd grade... seriously... my 8 year old nephew knows better.

They must do proofreading in 4th grade since you missed "he doesn't know he difference" in your reply to call out the op.![]()
This GNT and Ripple is killing me. Hopefully NXC makes up for the loss.
I'm gonna pass on GNT. too much volume to really get manipulated.
