Official BGOL Crypto Currency Thread ★★★★★

That GNT price dropping like stripper ass right now, 3200.

Yup, earlier I knew the floor might be around 3500 or so.....and still bought that shit at 5000
I'm getting burned right now, luckily I only invested like $150
But still.....another stupid mistake costing me money

:pain::pain::pain:

This is the million dollar question.

If I remember correctly
When Pascal first got added, the price was around 3000
And the percent change started around -100

I remember @Confucius saw it first
I think the next day is when it started pumping like crazy
And it had a lot of volume, more than monero & ethereum

The one thing I'm worried about is the market cap, available supply
Pascal only had about 6.5 million, so that's why it was easy to manipulate
But Golem has 820 million
That is a lot !!!!!

Now that I look at the market cap numbers, I'm not sure if it will pump up like Pascal did
But I guess we will see in a few days or weeks
This Poloniex shit is getting on my nerves, I need a drink

:hmm::hmm::hmm:

LOL and I am on GNT similar scenario, hoping for similar results!

When it was first added to poloniex, the price started around 10000, then fell to around 3200
Keep an eye out, on that 24 hour percent change for GNT

Right now it's stuck on red -99%
I'm curious to see what will happen when it turns green, probably in another 20 hours or so

Smart Man
Looks like it has gone down about 20% since this thread was started
(A Little over a Month)
Again, for those who are looking for instant increases: This is a LONG TERM investment.
We are gambling that the Banking Industry goes through a Payment Metamorphoses and catches up with technology

When this thread first started ripple hit a high of around 750
It spiked up on the hype of it coming to the bitstamp exchange

And now it is around 500
Damn, the price is being run into the ground

No, it was in the 60's
That's why the TITLE is the way it is.
It did go up but when you do the math it's lost about 20% from the start of thread

Hell yeah, I am.

I fucked up last time and bought my last batch when it peaked at like 745

I was able to get an order in when it hit 558 just now

When this thread first started it was in the mid 600's
But it started going up. The closer it got to launch date on the exchange (I forgot which exchange)
Remember when people were scrambling to get Krakken accounts

Around the day before, or the day of the exchange (where you could trade dollars directly for ripple without having to switch to bitcoin), the price was close to 740-750
Thats what I was talking about
Take a look at the post @ScottyPiffen745 made on the last page

You are talking about Bitstamp
But that's just one exchange. It wouldn't revolutionize the value of Ripple though
We kinda all thought it would cause we didn't KNOW too much at the time.

Me either but all coins drop
it's all part of the maturity process
Mostly cause Bitcoin is so damn high. If it was lower, all these coins would be doing good. As long as Bitcoin continues to rise, will bring down the value of all altcoins on Poloniex.

It's funny, just going over how much I put in and where I'm at, I've lost about $2-300 since I started. Now that I know that, that's my target to recoup. Hoping that a rise in NXC and XRP going back to it's normal price will help with that.

I'm not sure what everyones goal are but given how volatile coins are why not just invest in a coin that is somewhat stable, has a strong community or seems to have a working plan in place.

Having a trading mindset with coins just seems like you are more than likely to lose more or break even if lucky.

I bought Dash because they seem to be trying to make a user friendly platform and be mainstream, bitcoin because they are the biggest name and if the ETF goes through the price will move higher, ethrum because there are a lot of projects using it including potential big corporations and of course xrp.

Unless some major event happens, I can see xrp going lower especially with bitcoin and dash latest run. I don't believe anything major is happening until sometime in April.

I also bought burst, golem, factom and one other. I'm only putting real money behind factom from this group.

BTC just got some bad news, not sure if that means altcoins will now rise or what...

https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/bitcoin-unlimited-surpasses-30-networks-share/

think it means BTC will flood the market and it loses value since more hit the market

I read the articles and don't understand what they mean...should we dump bitcoin or what. I had planned on holding it until 2020.

These guys were discussing them on chat yesterday on tradingview. At the time were saying that the dip may of been because of the news but there is too much usage of the coin. Thoughts were that more BTC coin would flood the market cause of that mining company.

One guy was guessing that it may drop to 950-900 then shoot up. But now this budget chief was just picked there may be a shift in coins. There's also some decision to allow coins on ETF. We just have to wait and see. Last week was bad for me. Hope to redeem myself this week with NXC

didn't the wandrevoss twins want to get bitcoin allowed to do ETFs? I thought that is why they opened bitstamp. they said the SEC has until March 7 or 11 to decide.....I bought 2 bitcoins with the hope of buying 5 if the 3k predictions were correct.

If the ETF does go through to your point everyone believe the price will go up but if not the price wouldn't be hurt much.

The issue that everyone hopes gets resolved is the scaling problem. From what I understand even if bitcoin were to some how go mainstream the fees would increase and the current system can't handle as many transactions per second as say visa. Segwit or one of the other options are supposed to help with that.

right but that where ripple comes in...right...the scalability issues...

I know xrp is supposed to help with any currency, but I don't know if that solution would resolve the issue with the Bitcoin blockchain itself.

The segwit solution helps bitcoin improve independently of xrp.
