Is this verified? because ill just go that route and pass on tier 3 verification...
If you don't already own Bitcoin prior to all of this where you can just buy Ripple straight from the Bitcoins you already own, you have to have a tier 3 verification now to convert USD>XRT on the Kraken website.

Hey fam,

I found a couple videos that give some perspective on Ripple and what it is and isn't.

This video is good. Just skip when these dudes start their infomercial n shit lol.

This video is good with a lot of info on how Ripple works. A lot of smart Q&A towards the end.

Lastly: Has anyone used https://gatehub.net ? It looks legit. I signed up and should have everything verified today being the end of all the holiday shit. I signed up to Kraken as well.

Word let me know what yall think.

I wonder if all wallets require all of your personal info to buy bit coins... Do you know?

Anyone else having issues getting verified? its throwing me an error on the proof of address...(kraken)

No, Coinbase is not as thorough.
I prefer Circle for Bitcoin. Fast and easy and doesn't take days to deposits and withdraw. The requisite 45 mins up the blockchain and done. And after 2-3 transactions, they'll up your spending limit to $10k+

Coinbase is decent enough but Circle has em beat on those fronts I feel.

I had that problem. Dont pay attention to the error that it is throwing you. What is actually trying to tell you is that "One of the documents doesnt fall with in spec. It could be any one of them." The error wasnt the proof of residence like it was saying. The problem was actually that my ID for the first identity document wasn't between the required specs that I highlighted below. My drivers license photo was 68k. I swapped that out for a higher quality photo and it went through..

  • All documents must be high resolution, color image files.
  • Allowed file type extensions are: jpeg, jpg, png.
  • Files must be at least 98KB and at most 3MB.
  • Image dimensions can be a minimum of 350 x 350px and maximum of 4096 x 4096px.
  • Proof of residence document must contain name, address and be dated less than 3 months ago.
Another error that I came across was an email telling me that they need to see the edges of the identification. I had cropped mine after i scanned it.

Word thanks. I believe I see the negative aspects of using gatehub. It looks like you don't necessarily have full access to your funds as if you did in you actually wallet. Like a folded in half credit card.

Still learning but that helped a lot. What are you personally using if you don't mind sharing?
I don't think it's a negative. Can't think of ripple like bitcoin, I may be wrong, but it can't be in an offline wallet from what I was reading.

I set up Kraken and been using that for two days now. I'm ok with them being a "bank" from all the stuff I've been reading.

How long did it take for any of you to get the tier 3 verification approved? It's been like 24 hrs since I've submitted my stuff...

which vendor can I use if I don't want to go through all the tiers of verification that Kraken requires. Say I wanna go put $500 on it. How would I do that ?

I didn't do any paper saying it was for kraken. Is that what the I'd confirmation is? The details for that always show page not found error message for me

When it hits the market it will sky rocket past bitcoin.... bitcoin has a lot of scalability issues.... This thing is golden.... I Got 60,000 of them right now that I bought for around $350.... If it only hits $60 I will make 3.8 million, its backed by major banks and institutions... Remember people got in early on Bitcoin when it was 11 cents per bitcoin now its $960 per bitcoin...

Now you know Google and the Major Banks are backing this one.... What are you going to do?

Reminds me of the Iraqi dinar thing in 2001. It sounds exactly like this. The Iraqi dinar was worth .oooo6 so if u bought a couple hundred dinars and it went up in value u would become a millionaire. It even started under a republican president around this same time.

Circle is out of the Bitcoin game, bruh.

You didn't get the memo?

Maaaaaaan they still talking about the Dinar (Iraqi), Dong (Vietnamese), and Zim(Zimbabwean) currencies too. I see stuff about those revaluation's going on till this day and how things are falling into place. Hell I bought a gang of Zim myself. If it happens, it happens. If not, I'm good either way. Ripple seems interesting and more attainable / realistic than foreign currency revaluation right now.
