i dont think chins get ruined - i think people lose confidence, dont train as hard, get old, gett sloppy
plus mayorga was never a high skill guy he was a brawler- those types are the ones who all get exposed as they age

Margarito looked way too linear for Mosley not go have a fairly high connect percentage against him...It looked like Tony was a stationary target for Shane at times...

with the Cotto/Mosley fight, Cotto got the fast start and took four of the first six, but Mosley came back in the seventh and rocked him in the ninth, and had him running the rest of the way. I thought Shane won that fight 7 to 5.

You cant be fucking serious. A fighter who is now and fighting and has fought and knocked muthaphuckaz out at middleweight pitty pats? Paul Williams had Margarito hurt numerous times in that fight and threw over a hundred punches per round. Fuck outta hear.

Also, Clottey broke his hands in the 5th/6th round of that fight, he was getting in that ass and having a similar fight to what Shane did tonight.

In this fight, he had nothing. His legs weren't there. He looked like a shot fighter.

and why weren't his legs there?... cause and effect man... Shane fucking worked Margarito's body the entire fight...especially the middle rounds.. he took his legs away..he didn't start the fight without his legs...

IMO he didn't hit Tonio with nothin serious in that fight, though he clearly won.

After that fight is when he really made a concerted effort to hit w/ more power. In the interview before his next fight(his loss to Quintana ) he even said "I'm gonna start trying to sit down on my punches." IMO he hit's a lot harder since his fight w/ Tonio, but that night he didn't hurt him.

Cotto vs Mosley showed how evenly matched those two were with Cotto having an edge - it wasnt so much a battle of styles as it was a battle of conditioning, strength and speed
Shane got edged

Fast forward to Cotto v Margarito - dude was dismantled by the bigger stronger Margarito

Shane isnt fast enough to outbox Margarito
He isnt strong enough to outslug Margarito

Tomorrow night another 90's HOF fighter will look horrible and catch a severe asswhooping
worst part is the asswhooping will be from a coward too scared to rematch the guy who beat him

Paul Williams has just recently started sitting down on his punches & working on his power. Don't act like Paul wasn't a pitty pat volume puncher.

Again, Clottey fought HALF the fight, & would have won. The difference between the Clottey fight & this Mosley fight is that Margarito fought w/ much more intensity while getting his ass whooped. Margarito was hurt in that fight, he wasn't in serious danger of being knocked out, but he was definitely wobbled at least twice in that fight. Shit in the latter rounds Williams beat him in the 11th and 12th son.

He definitely won, I'm not disputing that. I just don't remember Margarito being hurt in that fight is all. Maybe I should watch it again.

Mosley been trying to get a fight with mayweather for a while but floyd never said anything. I wonder what will happen now. Mosley vs Pacman or mosley vs mayweather.

If Mayweather came back to fight just 1 fight, I'd rather see him fight Pac Man.
Even with the convincing win over Margarito tonight I still think Mayweather would win just because he's a better boxer (IMO), but Pac Man throws a lot of punches & Mayweather doesn't so I'd like to see 2 cats with 2 different styles go at it.

Exactly. Margarito was the same as he's always been, but he opponent wasn't having it tonight, thats the only difference.

If you remember he stepped it up and found his rhythm a little in the 6th/7th when Shane got a little sloppy, but Shane shut that shit right down.

Actually, maybe its not his legs that he was missing, maybe it was the plaster of paris raps

same guy gets weaker and gets stopped or ko'd - i dont think he lost his skull integrity - i think physically on the whole they cant take it - other fighters no matter what level of abuse they take they just wont go to sleep

This shit is a complete fallacy. You've been doing nothing but making excuses for Margarito. His legs were there to start the fight. He was doing fine the first 4 rounds though I give Shane 3 of the 4.. the problem for Margarito is that Shane was mauling his body...I knew the shit was over by round 6...because the late heroics possibility was over because Shane was beating dude's body to death..which means that Margarito was not going to have anything left in the later rounds. He started the fight with no problems and fresh legs man...he just got beat by the superior boxer who executed his game plan and exploited the weaknesses of the inferior boxer. That shit was a clinic.

I never said he would beat him in the same way as Mosley. They are too different boxers. Shane has much more power than PBF. However, Margarito is a brawler and not a boxer. He's just doesn't posses great boxing skills. He wouldn't stand a chance against and elite fighter like PBF. He would get outpointed to death. Margarito barely landed punches on Mosley and Mosley is willing to trade punches at time. He would land 30 percent of the points..if not less on PBF.... amateur night.. he's too slow and doesn't have the boxing skills to even remotely challenge someone like PBF...

I still think Floyd is just too small to defeat Margarito (assuming Tony isn't a cheating fraud who has been illegally wrapping his hands all this time). You out of your fucking mind. Shane has a much better chance of beating Floyd. Margarito is too fucking slow and doesn't have the skill-set to beat PBF. He wouldn't land any fucking punches. Much better boxers, much faster boxers, etc have gone in the ring with PBF and barely landing anything cleanly... Margarito would get outpointed to death..I would be surprised in a 12 round fight if Margarito won 2 rounds.... stick and move...
