You out of your fucking mind. Shane has a much better chance of beating Floyd. Margarito is too fucking slow and doesn't have the skill-set to beat PBF. He wouldn't land any fucking punches. Much better boxers, much faster boxers, etc have gone in the ring with PBF and barely landing anything cleanly... Margarito would get outpointed to death..I would be surprised in a 12 round fight if Margarito won 2 rounds.... stick and move... PBF would play lazer tab with a slow ass skill-less fighter like Margarito. Margarito is not even an elite figher and you are talking about the an all-time great.

Classic brawlers always give classic boxers a hard time. I could see Floyd breaking his brittle hands on Tony's face. There is an element of strength and punching power that Shane used tonight that Floyd doesn't have. Simply put, I don't see how Floyd is going to keep him off of him. Margarito would just keep hitting him on his arms and shoulders until he couldn't raise them any more. I think he would wear him down. Note, I am not saying Margarito is better than Floyd. Everyone knows Floyd is skillwise, an all-time great. I am just saying that I think he is too big and strong for Floyd. Floyd is a small welterweight. I see it as a bad physical matchup. I have always thought so.
Like I said before, all bets are off if Margarito has always been cheating.

Cotto fights Michael Jennings next month. Not sure if Jennings is the type of opponent that can show if the Margarito fight has any effect on Cotto or not.

Regardless, now that Margarito has lost, maybe Arum will FINALLY open up more opportunities for Clottey

He fought in Jersey (Against Cintron), fought in NY (Against Johnson), and Vegas (Against Cotto). You would suspect that at least ONE of those comissions would've have taken notice of the foul play in those areas. Styles make fights and Mosely had his number tonight.

Before this fight you could have used to Cotto or Vernon Forrest fights to make a legitimate argument as to why Shane had no chance to beat Margarito.

At the end of the day, nobody knows who will beat who until they step in the ring.

The truth of the matter is even if Floyd comes back (which we all know he will) there is no chance of him fighting Margarito now after him getting his ass whooped tonight.

Floyd is only looking for the big, huge fights and after this loss Margarito was taken out of the possibility of doing big PPV numbers.

This shit is a complete fallacy. You've been doing nothing but making excuses for Margarito. His legs were there to start the fight. He was doing fine the first 4 rounds though I give Shane 3 of the 4.. the problem for Margarito is that Shane was mauling his body...I knew the shit was over by round 6...because the late heroics possibility was over because Shane was beating dude's body to death..which means that Margarito was not going to have anything left in the later rounds. He started the fight with no problems and fresh legs man...he just got beat by the superior boxer who executed his game plan and exploited the weaknesses of the inferior boxer. That shit was a clinic.

Exactly. Mosley went through that fight with near perfection. Margarito had spurts where he looked like he could pull something off, but Mosley was right there with him. Shane just wore him down, then got those right hooks, and that ended up finishing him.

I forgot to mention how great a job that Nazim Richardson did to prepare Mosley for this fight. This move alone could extend his career a couple more years at the top of the welterweight division.

Floyd is not a power fighter at the higher weight classes he's been fighting at now. He's not going to brawl with Margarito and he won't try to knock him out... He would lazer tag his non-heading movement, slow as a turtle ass all night. He wouldstick and move like he's done with other boxers like Margarito. How is Margarito gonna "Wear Down" a boxer that he is too fucking slow to hit and who is going to win the exchanges when they actually trade punches? He could barely land punches on Shane..and even without PBF wearing out the body like Mosley dude, Margarito is too fucking slow and without real boxing skills to hit PBF consistently... and PBF is a MUCH MORE CEREBRAL boxer than Margarito... PBF would take Margarito to fucking school..always would...that's why I never even wanted to see the fight... give me Pacman against PBF anytime over a margarito bout...

I dont know much about Jennings but that fight has Roy Jones-Glen Johnson possibilities to me. His record is 34-1, so even if he hasnt fought elite opponents, he has some experience so he could be a spoiler.

As far as Clottey, I would like to see him get his break, but none of the top tier cats want a piece of him.

The only possibility Clottey has of getting a bigger fight is maybe with Paul Williams ( I personally hope this doesnt happen, at least not yet because I like both these cats and would rather see them fight when they've both established themselves a little more because whoever loses will be ducked even more than they were before because people will then have and excuse to duck them).

Clottey is too much of a risk to put in with big fighters because hes too much of a risk and even if he wins he probably isn't going to be a big draw.

We are talking about PBF NOW ...as of his latest fights... even that underachieving Zab Judah was landing punches early against Floyd until his has his typical mental breakdown, but Zab Judah is fast as fuck...so that is not surprising.. Margarito is not going to be able to land punches on PBF.... I've always thought that Shane had the best change ( a couple of years ago) to beat PBF because of his speed and punching power..

I try to tell cats time and time again about styles making fights. My only concern for Shane was if he would have the stamina to make it in the later rounds if it went that way with a fighter like Margarito. Shane did what Cotto couldn't do regardless of the hand wrapping issue. that is beat Margarito to the punch and bully him around the ring. Speed kills and combined with the experience Shane possesses if he shows up in a 147lb match he has a chance to win.

His double jab kept Margarito off balance. He tied him up not allowing the brutal body combinations that would wear him down. His in-fighting tonight was off the chain!
