I don't think education is the issue. Republicans of all educational levels are absolutely in love with Trump's administration.
The issue you have is everyone else that "could" be swayed to go in another direction.
Trump sits at 93% in the GOP because of two reasons 1) they love his policies 2) the numbers are skewed because it only counts registered Republicans..not the millions who've left the party. I don't think people realize how many people have actually left the party. The mid-terms should have been a heads up to people but even then the media pitched it as a "tie" even though the Dems absolutely washed the GOP and the map was horrible.
People didn't care about it pre-2016 because a lot of people don't care about Trump being abusive to women. Those weren't "crimes"... just him being an awful person.
People are much less forgiving about the other crimes that Trump is being accused of now. Lots of Republicans have walked away from the party because they don't want to support a criminal. Not all of them are unabashed racists, xenophobes, etc.

This post is why Pelosi needs to do it. Hell she should have done it in January. Cats like Durham will never rest until Trump is impeached.
They need to impeach Trump, get it over with so everyone can see him come out the impeachment unscathed and maybe then we can focus on 2020.

If most Dems were like @Spectrum I would say ok impeach but keep the main focus on other things. But most Dems actually believe Pelosi could remove Trump by impeaching him and she won’t and that’s why he’s there.

In January there was no Mueller report. So that would have been premature and carried a lot more controversy.
The Mueller report and especially the unredacted/full version will give them all they need to make a stronger case for impeachment.
