Just one of the ways hip hop history has been rewritten. Anybody that actually grew up listening to NWA would never question this fact. Only reason Ren fell out of favor with the powers that be is he decided to go the militant route when his solo career popped off. Cacs wasn't about to let that happen when they had Snoop Doggy Dogg coming down the pipeline soon.

My question is this: what caused Ren to suddenly and randomly lash out on Wednesday, June 10 when the trailer has been out since at least FEBRUARY? Had he not seen the trailer before this week? Does he not have access to Youtube? There's a LOT more to this story than Ren being butthurt months after the fact about not getting namechecked in a movie trailer.

He's not a major part of the group in context. Dre produced, eazy I guess financed it and kicked it off, and Cube wrote the best shit as well as became a successful solo artist.
Eazy died early, as well as launched Bone so he's more famous.
Dre and Cube are still working and making moves.
Yella and Ren are just not as famous as them.
I'll wait to see the movie. If they don't mention him at all, then that's a problem. If they have someone playing him and he's just in bit parts on stage and in the background then that's accurate and goes along with the way films work.
