they actually made morpheus a buck dancing caricature. so i am glad he is not involved.

i am watching it again for a second time. because my disappointment with the first viewing had alot to do with my lofty expectations. now that i am halfway through it for the second time i understand why this movie was made and while it still sucks i understand some of the choices.

once i finish it for the second time i will post my thoughts.
You a clown bro

u said this movie will be a game changer

much better than the marvel movies

u said U COULDNT WAIT till Christmas

side note.

i am now no longer excited for top gun: maverick.

i have been disappointed too many times this year.

dune and spiderman were pretty much the best tentpole movies of the year.

I was never excited for Top Gun 2. Hell Maverick is too old to be in the military, let alone a pilot. I forgot it was coming out until you mentioned it. I'm certain it's going to fall in the same traps as the others.

I haven't watched the Snyder cut. Isn't it 4 hours long? That's ridiculous. I'm sure that some things improved, but the premise is the same I'd guess. I watched it once (Whedon edition), no need to watch a longer over-bloated version.

naw.

it was a much different movie.

Crazy thing is I heard suicide squad has a diff version to that didn’t make the final cut.. I don’t think they pushing it like the Snyder cut but if true I wish they would.. I still haven’t finished watching the first 1 cause I thought it sucked.. surprisingly I seen the 2nd 1 and went in with lowwwwwwww expectations and actually thinking it was ok

both suicide squads are awful.

In every measurable way, it was well received.

On Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic it has a higher user score than any Avengers movie. The blu-ray was by far the top selling blu-ray when it was released. And the thread on BGOL was full of people praising the film.

I blocked them sequels out of my memory.
I pretend like the matrix was a one off
Looking like that will continue with this new one.
About half way thru it and I'm waiting for jada to tell neo Will likes his booty touched

Reloaded had the best action. Part one had the best story. Both were good, IMO (as in, I can re-watch them with no issue), but part one is hands down the best.

Do you. It fucking sucked to me. One man's trash though.

they stole alright(grant Morrisons the invisibles comics where literally handed to set and costume creators, several story elements including Morpheus, ghost on the shell and several other anime) but not from that crazy bitch lol

Yeah, people need to really do more reading. The Wachowskis definitely stole the idea of the Matrix, but it was not from her.

Literally, if you take Invisibles and remove insect-demons and replace it with machines, then you have the Matrix. Morrison himself even laughed about it and said that he wished that they had kept stealing from him for the sequels.

The Wachowskis even went so far as to have the cast watch Ghost in the Shell and read Neuromancer before filming to get a "sense of what the Matrix will be about" since they were blatantly ripping off those stories also.

And then there is that episode of Doctor Who from the 70's (The Deadly Assassin) where the Doctor literally has to enter THE MATRIX through a device plugged into his head and face off against someone in a simulated reality where you can alter the laws of physics if your mind is strong enough. It was for real called The Matrix.

the beginning and middle literally put me to sleep
just couldn't get into it.
the movie heated up towards the end though.
average movie to me.

The problem with the movie is that it did not have a story anchor. When a story takes place outside our normal reality, then you have to have a character who is serious, whose words you trust, to tell the story of what is going on.

In the first movie, Morpheus and Smith were the story anchors. Morpheus told the story from the human side, and Smith told it from the Machine side. The characters were both serious and were never silly and they had gravitas. In the second movie it was the Oracle and the Architect, and again they were serious and had gravitas and we believed them. Now we are in part four, and the story anchor is The Analyst, which started out okay until they made him in to a silly, Loki-type trickster. There is nothing wrong with a Loki-type character, but that character should NEVER be the story anchor. Any character that you rely on for exposition should never be a character that makes jokes.

Think about the MCU. They make plenty of jokes, but when it comes to exposition, they always leave it to the serious characters like Nick Fury, Odin, Thanos, Cap, etc. You still have to believe that the story is real and the stakes are real. Lana fucked up by making a silly character tell us the story and the stakes.

Shit sucked...if you gonna just put a bunch of newbies in at least make it a prequel.tell the story of Morpheus being saved by the original neo.get people hyped and give yourself time to knock out a real sequel. twenty years for this horseshit?

I hated-
Trinity Slow ass motorcycle driving
Neos lack of imagination with his powers
New Morpheus Lil stupid dance
New smith screaming like a bitch neooo!:o
Of all characters to return Niobe?
The Merovingian cracked out
Bad action scenes-you don't feel the blows
The analyst wasn't scary

I liked-
Sati growing up and playing a role
The new machines linked up with io
The blue haired brawd, she cute as fuck
The tech that allows programs to cross over

I loved-
looking at Carrie Ann moss again.

Gotta check out that Snyder Cut Justice League, been sitting on it all year. Dune was great but Mortal Kombat and Godzilla Vs. Kong were dope to me too, WB did have a pretty wacky slate this year though.

Suicide Squad was a bad movie that really needed more time to establish the characters to make you care if their heads blew up. You got 2 1/2 fleshed out characters & fodder. The scale should have been way smaller. Should've been like a black ops squad not a world saving one.

Here's my unpopular opinion about it. I thought Jared Leto's Joker was an interesting take. No it wasn't Heath Ledger's Joker or any previous portrayal. But he was a crime boss with a weird relationship with Harley Quinn. Clearly mentally off & unstable but still charismatic to get people to follow him. I think a 2nd portrayal could have ironed out some of the rough parts. Closer to The Joker to me than Joaquin Phoenix.
I hated the Joaquin Phoenix joker… I actually like the Jared Leto joker look.. I literAlly stopped watching the suicide squad when they had the first shootout with the monsters.. I think 1 of them tried to escape and got his head blown up..haven’t even attempted to watch it since

.....edited to add the snyder cut.
I’m a top gun fan and I rather see a day after tomorrow sequel than top gun 2

But if we talking about sequels that I been waiting for foreverrrr.. is district 10.. where the fuck is district 10.. I’m waiting for ole boy to go get backup and bring his alien squad to fuck up mankind and save his alien species.. it was cheap to make it made some money, why can’t I get my part 2 son of a bitch..they had a nerve to make that bullshit chappie and that Matt Damon movie where he plays a Mexican trying to go outter space yet no district 10

Dude getting his head blown off was hilarious to me. They introduced him like 5 minutes before killing him. A 1 sentence explanation as to why he was on the team. It was the biggest unintentional joke of the movie.
