I guess I do know some people better than they know themselves, in particular areas. Most people aren't even smart enough to learn about themselves thoroughly. This is a fact. Even very smart people can have trouble with self discovery, that's why there is a market in psychology and other mental health professions. Being that seeking mental help in times of need and confusion is frowned on in the black community, there are a considerable amount of empty and self-perplexed individuals in our community.

I go through different fazes of what I'm atractted to. Generally speaking I have been attracted to all sisters, most of my ex's were dark skin or in-between, my past 3 girls 2 were about the same complexion that I am one was lighter... shit ultimately is irrelevant logically speaking, but preference is mostly an emotional thing or str8 up brainwashing. Honestly I often wonder if BGOL has had a negative impact on me subconciously, because of the way brothers perpetually exalt light skin women en masse. My preference nowadays has changed to mostly light. I sometimes ask my self am I cooning or color struck :

I'll go out on a limb here and say, there are more light skin brothers dating all shades vs darkskin brothers. I understand why this happens, because of the immense psycological pressure placed upon black people as a whole by this racist system, I believe it can be exceptionally heavy on those blessed with more melanin. Shamefully I've even noticed that my tolerance level seems to be higher dealing with lightskin women's bullshit vs darskin, and thats fucked up on my part.

Aye kwaz, aren't you light (you've stated you are)? Therefore how could you be "colorstruck" in the negative sense if you yourself are light?? Self insecurity issues can come in the form of "feining" for someone darker than you or white etc. A light skinned man who only wants dark women because of his insecurities is essentially no different than a dark guy who wants only light skinned girls because of his insecurities. They are both dealing with issues. The fact that you prefer women around your own tone can actually show an inner personal psychological development. You could also be simply riding the wave of what is touted as the "best;" like most people do. There is nothing wrong with either scenario.

That's not necessarily true son. I've been through different phases before...At one time all i dated was dark skinned women, then it was light skin, then it was Hispanic, etc...Now it don't really even matter...I've been fortunate to fuck women of many different races.
