let me clean that up a bit.

what i HAVE written MANY times is that michael jordan blew a basketball axiom OUT THE WATER. fuck a scoring title, meaningless all-star nominations, or campaigned and bought-with-swag media MVPs. michael jordan disproved (not once, but SIX times) that a championship can be won without a dominant big man.

what i have also written (that is even LESS understood) is that ANOTHER testament to michael jordan's TALENT (not historic milestones, but ACTUAL talent) is that the reason the chicago bulls DID NOT NEED a dominant big man was BECAUSE MICHAEL JORDAN SUPPLANTED THAT POSITION AS A 2G!

people just don't know (or comprehend) that they were watching a 2G DOMINATE the post. 20 years after-the-fact it's not understood or recognized.

To be honest....

I just knew I was watching something amazing.

that's too tough to call, because my pops took me to see wilt chamberlain a couple times when i was a small child. first, i wasn't really equipped to comprehend what i was seeing, and second, wilt chamberlain was nearing the end of his career.

i remember watching jerry west, pat riley and keith erickson play. i remember meeting bill bridges and leroy ellis.

so it wouldn't really be fair (for me) to compare the 2. one thing i will say, is that both wilt chamberlain and michael jordan were SO talented (beyond the physical gifts the superficial fans focus on) that they surpassed their assigned roles on the court.

everyone expected wilt chamberlain to dominate in categories like FG%, rebounding and scoring but who knew he could lead the league in assists? more than doubling the amount of assists handed out by walt frazier and earl monroe? comfortably beating out oscar robertson?

no. that blog was created solely for me to conduct a small scale experiment on how internet traffic works first hand. the tobe stans were my guinea pigs.

instead of trying to read a book or have someone try and explain it to me, i created my own controlled environment online where i could learn how and what google analytics measures.

it's easy to pay people to do a job for me, but at some point i have to be able to understand what's going on for myself.

the dallas mavericks lost in the nba finals to the miami heat 4-2. dirk nowitzki won the MVP but he's a unanimous fraud.

the los angeles fakers lost in the nba finals to the boston celtics 4-2. tobe won the MVP but he's...
