Irv Gotti Explains Why Jay-Z Is Better Than Eminem

Em is great in his own right...he's on some different shit that Irv really doesn't understand hell I dont understand sometimes but one thing I like about Eminem is that he does what he does. He is him. All the time. Em is not trying to be like no one else. He's a fuckin clown of course he make funny shit

Ludacris is like the black Em. Crazy lyrical wordplay...likes to have fun...sells lots of records...movies...endorsements, etc

Yet and still, I kind of see where Irv in coming from. But at the same time Detroit has lots of real niggas that go to battles with guns so...that nigga Irv really just seem a lil salty

Nothing to do with this thread, I just thought of something,I'm trying to think, who was the last HUGE Rap superstar who didnt have ANY songs/singles for the Ladies? Only one I kind think of is Em. And he still pushed those type of units.

but seriously, who said em was better than j?(questions the motive of this interview since em an 50 ethered irv)

I liked Jay's part best. Never have been an em fan. He is corny and gimmicky!

Anyone who listens to this track & say that Em didn't absolutely destroy Jay's versus on this shyt, they're out of their fuckin mind. Jay is mad nice with what he does but he not as skilled a wordsmith as Em, period. Better artist has a lot of factors. Production, content, subject matter,....

2 dudes battlin on a mic? Nga please.. Em will smash Jay & y'all know it.

Ha, I've noticed that at least four times since you first pointed it out...

You don't pronounce it that way, do you? (Always makes me think of Ragu pasta.)

I thought Iwas only one.

Am I the only one who can't play videos off of the Forbez website? I see the video but it won't play, and this is the only website I have this problem with. Is it just me?

Thought I was only who had that problem

....they should asked him "where does Ja Rule rate in the hip hop game?"

I think before people start making the comparisons between jay and Em you need to listen to the whole body of work. Jay does do more than just the drug game songs and does have a very interesting body of work. Even the songs that are dope game songs have an interesting twist "Meet the Parents", "Dope Man", "Coming of Age (The Sequel)", "Where Have You Been", "Takeover", "A Dream", "I Did It My Way", "Guns & Roses","Beach Chair",

Otherswill cite a different group of songs. Either way to say that either artist Jay or Em are one trick ponies isn't really listening to what each is doing.

I love Jay's body of work. Kingdom Come showed another side of Jay musically. That album was a classic IMO.

Yeah I think that a lot of people on this thread are just listening to the radio drops and making judgments off of that. Every album by both artists can be found on BGOL and I think a lot of people on here should DL them and really listen.

To me Jay's collab with Linkin Park shows that he is willing to stretch.

I'm not a fan of downloading without paying for the music. I'd rather buy and have what I want. I won't be able to read the inside of the album cover stealing it from a rapidshare link.

hes right
i have been saying this shit for years
eminem is a fucking joke
fucking sideshow circus rapper

[FLASH]http://www.youtube.com/v/l5ESwLL-Aoo[/FLASH]

just listen to the second verse he even acknowledges his advantage but he says fuck it im still nice and what

White boys and dudes who know nothing about rap always reveal themselves

The only way Em has classics is because of how much he sold, and because he's the white rapper, not because of quality of material.

Agree w/ Irv!

MMLP is the ONLY classic he has under his belt and I never understood why people think he murdered Jay on his own shit, probably because Nas said it ....

Is he the best HELL NO (not even Top 10):smh::smh:... Top 20 :yes:

Method Man got Biggie on his song. Is Meth a better rapper, hell fuckin no :smh:

And the only reason Nas said it, was because Jay-Z mentioned Horse's verse being better

yea em is always clowning but jay only raps about moneys and hoes

thats why pac is the best, he brought something different everytime

even you salty new york ninjas can agree on that right?

You listened to 10 Jay-Z songs?

So what do people like Master Ace, Pharoahe Monch, KRS One, Chuck D, Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, Ice Cube rap about?

And is Tupac's work better than theirs :smh:

nas said it cuz when you actually break down the lyrics em cant be fucked with. funny thing is i heard renegades was floating around for awhile with royce and em. jay decided to have it on blueprint. how em verse already been laid on it and jay still cant fuck with it line for line. this is not opinion but fact look at the wordplay.

And why do people keep bringing up Tupac. he was very influential but nice on the mic:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol: he couldnt fuck wit big jay nas or em. joe budden is nicer than tupac:lol:.

He wouldn't have,he started out battling but even in Detroit he wasn't considered the best.

Irv is speaking from a pre-1998,internet,smack dvd's era where a rap battle where alot of todays rappers and battlers would get dismatled.

I would rather hear from someone who was actually there and knows and isn't bias than to hear someone's opinion about what they think would or wouldn't happen.

Yo real talk em ain't did no songs with no real Detroit rappers like Blade Icewood, the chedda boys, stretch Money none of the dirty glove niggas ever . all that 8 mile shit was not true at all I been going down to the Saint Andrews hall witch was the only real hiphop club in the D back then and they only had it on friday night I was there every friday night for like 8 years and i never seen em in there on the mic or in a cyphr and truth be told em didn't come across 8 mile for shit he stayed on the 248 side near east 8 mile it was close to Detroit but not the 313 so Irv do got a good point cause niggas in the D take there rap battles to heart all that funny makeing people laugh at a nigga ain't going far with out a fight so yea .....

as much as i like em, and as much as i hate irv, irv hit that shit right on the head... eminem is dope but he can't fuck with jayz record for record
