Damn Bestbuy Mobile just shitted on me. I put my reservation in last friday and according to the sheet i was the 5th person. I ordered the White 16gb 4s and my gf just called me and said bestbuy left her a voicemail saying that the white 16gb isnt on the shipment friday. I guess i gotta wait for the next shipment whenever that is im just hoping its before oct 31 cuz thats when my att contract is up.

I've said that many times: It comes down to personal choice. The phones are pretty much the same shit, with the OSes slightly different than one another.
Choose the one you like, and live with it. That simple.
I like the mail notification a lot. That's all that I have tried out so far. I am curious to see how icloud works
The notifications are definitely a good addition (as yes I know Android had it first). The badges are nice, and way better than the alerts.
Other than that, need to fuck around with it some more.

iOS 5 on iPad is pretty cool I like the split keyboard will check the rest later...ppl on Mac rumors r having issues tho I got lucky

the most solid advice that i came across was that the servers were swamped so put the ipsw on your desktop and hit option restore and repeat til it goes all the way through. thats it just the servers.

That's what I did.. also people are posing links to alternaate download site.. so that is an option. Too many people are trying to get the update its crazy slow!
crazy part is it was timing out AFTER i had the download. just trying to restore is even slow as fuck. music is just getting re synced.
I was getting a different error message which was 3194. Googled it and it was an old error due to being jailbroken. I had to download program that changed some settings in cydia/ssh and it was simple and i was able to download ios5 with no problem after that. google your error message and it should lead you to the fix.

I don't see the point of the newsstand and I cant move it to a folder. I will say my iPad is much more snappy with this update....Very solid update but the process was annoying my android updates, Ubuntu updates and even my windows updated didn't take that long and require a do over like this did....Apple did a bitch move not enabling gestures in iPad 1 I'm reading online the iPad 1 supports gestures but apple wants to force ppl to get the iPad 2 very bitchmade move on their part.

Tried it four or five times before it finally went through. Was about to give up until tomorrow, but decided to try it one last time and the update all of a sudden started working. Took almost an hour doing the restore and then restoring the music and apps. I guess having a 64 gig Touch doesn't help.

You can also launch a manual sync, and it doesn't required you to be plugged in to a power source.
