No where in the video does it say Apple is better. I know you didn't watch it.
It says, if your are on an iPhone and message another iPhone user, you get typing notification, read receipts, huge video size limits,you get to send PDFs and other documents.
If one person in your group chat is not on iMessage, you lose all of that and everyone can only send regular SMS messages.
Android always had good messaging apps. That's not the issue. 75% of young people use iPhones so they don't want to lose features in their chats.

But it's been a apple vs Samsung war going on for years.
One more thing, I used to be in smartphone groups when that YouTube video was everywhere back then with apple users saying what their phone can do.
