No where in the video does it say Apple is better. I know you didn't watch it.
It says, if your are on an iPhone and message another iPhone user, you get typing notification, read receipts, huge video size limits,you get to send PDFs and other documents.
If one person in your group chat is not on iMessage, you lose all of that and everyone can only send regular SMS messages.
Android always had good messaging apps. That's not the issue. 75% of young people use iPhones so they don't want to lose features in their chats.
