How much does a suit cost?

You wear that bullshit suit to a interview and you will not get the job. Your faggot ass can wear a stretchable suit if you want to. Dumb niggaz.

Show me a pic of the suit I should wear to the interview then?

You actually can get a nice suit at K&G, you just have to know what a good suit look like. Some stuff you can tell the quality is not there. Some of the suits are from less known brands but are nice suits. Then find yourself a good tailor and you in business.

What's inherently wrong about buying a common suit off ebay? People have bought $40,000 watches on ebay without a problem.

I've gotten a Purple label suit (New with Tags) from Ebay before. There are plenty of reputable suit sellers on ebay.

Simple, and clean.
A timeless classic look that will never go out of style.

Ninjas rockin these "Blues Brothers" ass Mod Suits form the 80's!!:lol:

I bet you wear that shit without socks and your ankles showing!! :smh::smh:

This is a very interesting post. Fact is, imho actually, the appropriate price of a suit depends on your station in life.

There was a time when I believed $200 was a great price for a suit. That was when I was fresh out of college.

As time as developed, I've learned about men's clothing and what makes a great suit.

The progression was Boss, then Armani.

Time however revealed that the fabrics from Armani were suspect. What has happened now is that Armani now purchases their fabrics from Zegna so they've solved their fabric problem.

In a way, Armani has played out. So where does that leave the us at the upper end of the market?

Zegna is a great entry into this market (again all my opinion).

For me though my lower is thicker (a result of playing soccer/football all my life), so I can wear a jacket of the rack, but the pants never fit. The solution is made to measure.

Zegna will run you from $2500 - $4000 (2 piece to 3 piece).

If you want to take it to the next level, you can visit Kiton or Isaia; all italian.

A little frustrated these dayss because they've gone to flat front look, which removes a lot of the fabric which presents a cleaner look, but the thighs and butt area present a problem for the Black man!! lol

The deal with paying 2000 plus for a suit is what is referred to as the "hand". Haave you ever seen a dude sit down in his suit and then get up and the suit is full of wrinkles. Well, that's one tip off that suit is cheap. There's more, but I'll stop there since I'm getting into Colin territory.

Oh yea, you can go full bespoke but generally you go that route when your body is simply messed up, and even made to measure won't fit properly.

IMO, it really doesnt make sense to spend 4k on a suit when you can get it made from scratch for less than half of that.

I am not in 4k suit territory. Not even in 2k suit territory, but part of that is because I'm self employed and really wear suits for social events and dont NEED them professionally. The other part is, while I'm doing good, in 6 figures, I just aint willing to drop that kind of money on a suit. I dont see the value.

You are correct. I never spend over $500 on a suit. If I had $4000 to spend on clothing , I'd rather buy a used Rolex so that I can get my money back in the future. Also , a Rolex peaking out of the cuffs of a $500 suit is killer.

This is exactly what not to get in a suit. This suit is glued together. And who the fuck wants a suit that stretches? You can get this bullshit for $150 on Ebay. And these dumb niggaz cosigning this bullshit.

so you rather wear hammer pants and a matching sports coat then go buy a suit that fits your frame???????

baggy ass suits make niggas looke like they loss a ton of weight but still trying to wear their fat clothes.

Rolex had older Rolexes that were gold plated or gold wrapped.

Ok, they had a few oyster date but absolutely not any date just. They also never made a gold jubilee band, so that Rolex in your link is still fake.

Here's what their gold plated watch looked like:

From my previous pictures...I like you jagu so don't think this is a dig at you..Rolex has manufactured many of its bracelets in gold at one time or another..I want to educate the masses

That watch is not solid gold, only the bezel is solid gold. So why would they put a solid gold bracelet on a non solid gold watch?

Nice watch though:yes:

No it is completely solid gold...when the watch was serviced at Rolex they replaced the bezel among other things.. I assure you as I own/owned numerous high end watches this is gold I'll post the caseback look up model 15037..and I did xray the watch it is completely gold from case to bracelet

Its just an old out of production watch...brought it for 4400 sold for 5k

Sounds about right. I paid $5500 for my blue submariner on 2004. I can easily get $7500 for it on eBay today.

I still don't think that the watch in Dr Truth's link is genuine. The gold alone is worth more than $2500.

The watch truth posted is most likely fake..seller has one 1 feedback and no pictures of the movement... Seller claims its brand new...but has no paperwork or show pictures of the serial#..its not even in a rolex box..lol

You know your stuff. You must be a member of The Rolex Forum:cool:

They sometimes discourage revealing the serial number to the public. I don't know why.

I am but I've posted twice since last year..my name on there is twinrolex...I usually obscure the last couple of digits when I sell on eBay...its to prevent the bootleggers from using them on counterfeited products..aka Folex..lol

what do you guys believe are considered business suit colors? When I was in business school we were told Blue and Gray suits where the 2 everyone had to have. My girl saying black suit but I remember my professor said stay away from black... I can't remember why

also what do you think of power ties, in regards to solid colors an primary colors... I'm sure you want to keep a tie more solid for an interview an such but maybe stripes would be fine
