I have the last z06 and I don’t see the need for going up. I’ll just get a Stingray when the 26 comes out. A brake job on my current z06 can run 6-8,000, depending on what you need. I’ll trade it before that comes up for the 26 and pay cash

Well that just put a pause in my plans lol. Was gonna cop a c8 in a few months but now I might just wait until late next year, I'm sure prices are gonna be bananas on release so I'm definitely gonna give it time for the hysteria to die down a bit, either that or I get what I really want, a McLaren. We'll see what God has in store for me
Interest rates will be shit so they’ll be willing to deal. If you’re trading and paying cash, you can call your shot. If rates are anywhere near 6% or higher, they know they have to deal.
I'll see when the time comes, was debating not trading in my mustang since it's paid off and would be a great backup if I'd have the unfortunate experience of the c8 having trans issues and being stuck in service for a while. But yea, gonna hold off until the new ones are out and see what makes sense
If I remember correctly you've been talking about getting a McLaren for a while. It ain't my pockets and I don't know your situation, but I say do whatever you can to get the McLaren.
You want it and nothing will scratch that itch until you get it or something similar\better.
Just my two cents.
That's definitely been the plan, the c8 would just be holding me over until I get there lol. As an entrepreneur, my monthly varies from 6k-15k depending on workflow, so I'm not quite comfortable jumping into McLaren territory yet but if things go well with this new business venture that I'm stepping into, then I may be able to skip the c8 entirely by the time the c8 refresh drops.

but I'm hoping that you get the McLaren because a C8 will be a temporary fix and not really what you wanted.

drives good i love the suspension you dont tense up when you hit a pot hole and plenty of leg space if you are tall i personally think this
is the best vette GM has made i just miss that drivetrain being upfront...

only thing i hated is that center console all them damm buttons running up and down that console...but them new brakes tho-
The only off-putting thing about the C8 for me is that they've gotten cheaper and as such they're becoming more common. A McLaren will always be a rare sight to see. And I just love the designs of the McLarens a tad bit more than the vettes. I was debating going Z06 but outside of the minor looks it's not like I'd really get to enjoy the beast that it is ( I live in NY, bunch of stop and go traffic). We'll see what I end up with when the refresh is out.Man ya'll trippin, LOL

And although the lambo doors look cool on the C8, they don't open straight up, you gotta open the door outward first then lift it up. Also gotta get used to doing it with your windows down. Eh... I'd rather go with the real deal or stick with the way the car was made until they have better aftermarket options. Butterfly doors work better but if you're in a parking lot side to side with another car? Not that great.
i thought 2 grand was expensive on a Range Rover for a brake job.

He probably got the carbon ceramic rotors, they are expensive but they really should last the life of the car.
I opted for the steel rotors on my blackwing and switched to ceramic pads because the stock pads will have the wheels caked in dust after a 15 minute drive.

Those cars will be bought and barely driven.
They will become collector cars and sit in some millionaires garage for a few years before it's passed off to the next person that will just do the same.
They will list for about 250K, but of course they will sell for close to 400K.
