Heat trying to get Chauncy Billups

I'm not no heat fan at all,but if the can get chauncy.:smh::smh:

Chauncy Billups can get them guys in check in 3 games. They would give the east and the west hell.

Chauncy ain't about to go to a team that wears eyeliner, and has no coach. The Heat have nothing to give, but a dream of a championship and talent. Pat shoulda went after Amare and Chauncy in the off season, and still had room for a big man.

If Melo doesn't sign that deal then he is definitely going to be traded. Also, the Nuggets said everyone is available on the roster, and they definitely need to start rebuilind. Billups has two years left with the last of the two being a team option. I don't foresee them extending him because of his age.

If Riley is able to pull this off then he is definitely going to get gm of the decade.

Thing is melo has until june 30 of 2011 to sign the deal.

And as I said the new nuggets gm has said he won't trade melo for scraps if he even trades him at all. He basically said we are fucked one way or another. 3 weeks ago he said he would be willing to let melo walk off and be the lowest paid superstar in the nba withthe new cba.

I'm telling u dude is an ass for real. Hahahaha.

Nuggets said everyone is available to make the team better. That's what he said.

Dude isn't trading billups for trash or role players. He wants another all star. He wants bosh.

I put any amount of money a deal doesn't get done. This dude has been the nuggets gm for less than 6 months and his reputation is more known than many others.

I give him this. He isn't a punk.

That would be too much wear and tear on Haslem because he would start when the big centers are fresh. He should come off the bench. Anthony shouldn't start.

I don't know why they aren't out there trying to get Dampier. Maybe he burned some bridges or something ebcause he has been lazy throughout his career. The Lakers are eyeing him. OS it would behoove the Heat to not try to get him. At least he will offer rebounds and fouls. He can bang.

he's not available, ummm well not a free agent
Erick Dampier signs one-year deal with Rockets

Free agent center Erick Dampier has agreed to a one-year deal with the Houston Rockets for the bi-annual exception of $2.08 million, according to a league source.

yet im more of a James fan, but i like with folks go against the grain sometimes
Billups would be nice, also i think them not having their complete offense in doesn't help, at this point, but understand whats the coach is doing.

Heist don't ever come back in sports thread.

U have no idea what you are talking about

Because you do. :dunno:

You know about two things: Weed and Cam'ron. Stay in your lane.

I heard you have a Derek Rose poster on the ceiling above your bed, so you can look up at him at night.

Dude is just trying to make a name for himself, but he is going to find himself on the short en of the stick by trying to play hardball when he doesn't have the leverage.

I believe what he said, but then he is just dumb, and the longer Melo doesn't sign the deal the worse it gets for the Nuggets.

I don't think the deal gets done too, but this gm is in hius own world. Billups is at the tail end of his career. He can't keep up with quicker guards even though he is an upgrade from the Heat's points. His offense is down considerably. He makes a lot of money. He is no longer an all-star yet he makes that loot. He is only under contract for one year and the second year is a team option.

I don't see this guy lasting long as a gm because he has to realize that he is going to have to work with other teams.

He is still available. There isn't anything official. Have you seen him on the Rockets bench or in a uniform.

yeah not taking that nets deal for favors is going to look ultra stupid if melo leaves for nothing.

why not take a look at skip to my lou?

thats a nice options also,
they have the piece that they wanted, now its up to the coach to make it work,
shit Nash ain't the best defender nor was Amare but they made it work with their faster pace and a make wish defense, that kinda hid Nash

Dampier would solve more problems. arguably D Wade should be converted into primary ballhandler and guard guys like Rose and Rondo. Just have wade bring the ball up and dump to LeBron in the high post where he can be the distributor. its proven you don't need a pure point to win. heat probably need another defender on the wing. letting wright go was cap related but not great.

I think Riley is gonna have to take over though. coaching talent laden teams is REALLY difficult.

also regarding chauncey apparently denver can cut him and save money. that scenario was discussed previously and he was considered most likely to join....the Lakers.

Why not skip???????I let the heat fans tell you what he did. He used his twin sister trying to commit suicide as a cover up. Dude was upset because he wasn't getting mins in a contract year.

The nets trade him to heat because he was a headache in the locker room. He goes to miami and becomes one there as well.

You hit it right on the head this is a former nba scout first time being a nba scout. He doesn't want his first move to be "the guy who traded melo" so now he tries to make a name.

Agent creed had this guy number from the jump. Saying he was only talking to the nets to piss melo off by not talking to knicks.

At first I was like naww but as reports came out. This dude turn down deals from the nets even when melo said okay.

He fucked the first deal by telling the nets he wants troy for kenyon martin(who is hurt right now) troy gives the nets 20 mil off the books.

Then the nets offer favors troy and humphris and say whatever bad contract you want us to take back we will.

Dude still says no. He is not getting better offers than that. He is trying to make it seem like he is jerry west or rod thorn by making gms sweat.

The knicks had a deal to get a first round pick so they can make a move for melo dude tells them "new jersey is offering 3 1st rounds can you do better." Knowing damn well he ain't going to say yes.

Dude is just tryng to make a name but in 5 months he has become one of the most polarizing gm's in the league

If he trades melo to the Knicks he can take the high road. Melo doesn't want to be there anymore and it would be best if he did it instead of letting his ego get in the way and possibly llose him for nothing.

Well if they throw bosh in the mix, I can see them bringing in nene and chaucey.. Trust it will be a 3 for 2player deal.. Right there they can solve the pg and inside pressence

The notion that the Nuggets, who'll be rebuilding when Melo leaves, will take on Bosh's 100 millon dollar contract and help you win a championship by giving the Heat two of their best players is laughable. They're probably not going to get value for Melo, so why would they take on a player that's been exposed as overrated. Yall are stuck with that dude.

Denver only does this deal to get bosh contract doesn't work to get billups and nene for bosh. Doesn't add up.

Melo has been talking to dude. Its believed if the nuggets can get an all star to help melo he would re sign.

The knicks recent struggles has made melo think twice and look harder at the bulls who without boozer are staying afloat.

Thing is melo goes to free agency he is the lowest paid superstar in a league that the cba is being restructure to make sure contracts will go down.

The gm is out to do this. He will make it seem like he did everything he could and melo just wanted to leave.

That way creating another sports bad guy who was "spoiled, unloyal and didn't care about the city"

He wants to be dan gilbert. Because in all honesty if melo leaves dude turn the best offers he is going to get

he makes 13mil this season and 14next... the team can't afford him and no one outside the big 3 make that kinda money

vecsy said this week in his interview with melo he gets the vibe that melo is focused only on ny and no one else and is fine with going to ny as is and improving with them. where u gettin this he's lookin at the bulls talk?

the buy out is how it could happen.

that's illegal b/c the heat would have to reward the nuggets somehow and have a side deal with billups while he's undercontract to den to come to miami. that would be tampering since billups isn't up for free agency and his contract can't be reworked. it would raise too many eyes and dan gilbert would probably lodge a complaint just to fuck miami over.

no they don't.

Chauncy has an early buyout clause. (smart thinking Joe Dumars)

Billups could be kept, but at a cost of $14 million, the Nuggets will likely buy out his final year for $3.7 million. Also, center Nene could opt out of his final year and become a free agent this summer, although that almost certainly won’t happen in this uncertain economic landscape of the NBA.

If Melo is ever dealt they will likely buy him out but the advantage right now is they can trade him for a key player but if they trade melo they will buy out his contract to save money.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2932809

Billups agent has already said he is bought out of his contract he is heading to LA or Miami.

ahhh didn't know bout the buyout clause... depends on den then i guess

the buy out is how it could happen.

Why would the Nuggets buy out Billups when they can just trade him to a team for a expiring contract and a 1st round pick? The Heat don't have shit for trade bait. SHIT. They can't even trade Chalmers for anything anymore.

because the Nuggets GM is an asshole that does alot of shit that doesn't make sense.

The Nuggets have two big contracts coming off the books along with four minor ones.

That combines to nearly 25 million off the books. That's not counting the money they saved if they buy out Billups 14 million contract for 3.7 million.

The Nuggets GM let it be known he is not looking for expiring contracts he has seven of them.

He wants players.

Creed called it this dude is making life hard for melo to get to where he wants.

The Nuggets will buy out billups if they trade Melo that is expected. No one is giving a 1st round for a 34 year old player who is having his worst season shooting percentage wise.

The Blazers would trade a 1st rounder for Billups no problem. Same goes for the Grizzlies. The draft is gonna be weak as shit next year with the CBA contract talks stalling players from entering the draft.

And where are ya'll getting this buy-out clause in his contract for 3 million at?

 i think they'd rather save the doe

How are they saving cash by buying him out? They pay him more money this year than they would if they just traded him for a expiring contract.

i know what yall meant about zero assist, but James is 8th in the league
  • Rajon Rondo 10 15.1
  • Deron Williams 11 10.3
  • Chris Paul 9 10.1
  • Jason Kidd 9 10.0
  • John Wall 8 9.8
  • Steve Nash 10 9.6
  • Derrick Rose 9 9.2
  • LeBron James 10 8.9

That's juss scary fam .... I see now why the LeStans think he is the GOAT

The Heat have more than just PG issues.
Anyone that has watched them should know this.

The fact that people are panicking and rushing them to prove something in year 1 of a 7 year bid is hysterical.

Isnt patience a virtue?

You can tell when a City aint used to winning shit in the sports world. I wouldnt be surprised if some of you Heat fans committed suicide after they dont win it all this year.
