Heat trying to get Chauncy Billups

Oldest? Umm, I think you may be mistaken.

The Spurs have the oldest.

Nope. Look it up, they are officially the oldest team in the NBA. But if you just think about it, it makes sense.. Besides Arroyo, James, Wade, and Bosh, everybody else on that team is old as fuck... Haslem, Big Z, Howard, Stackhouse

the Miami Heat are the oldest team in the league with an average of 30.46

Understandably hes pissing a lot of people off.... But I thin if he was to be moved they could solve the pg and fromt court issue

Riley would get mad props if he made that move. He wouldnt lose much scoring and it would solve the PG problem. Then with the extra money, they could probably get some goons to enforce the paint.

Bosh would need to be put on suicide watch though.

Man I think at this point wade and bron prob mad at the nigga for beimg a cup cake and essential coming to mia to retire because he is not complimenting them dudes at all, right now.. Maybe he will prove niggas wrong but hanging out,on the perimeter aint gonna cut it

People are being to critical of Bosh but not paying attention to the problem. Teams are doubling and triple teaming Bosh as soon as he touches the ball. He is the Heat's only low post player and teams simply refuse to allow him to get going. They want to keep Miami a jump shooting perimeter team. The player at the five does not even guard Anthony.

A PG who can get in the lane to collapse the defense and feed both wade and bron on the wing will force teams leave Bosh on on one

Bosh has never been nor ever will be a lost post player. Bosh DOES NOT play in the low post. Even when he plays with his back to the basket, he is NOT in the low post.

I been saying this since august that riley has been keeping an eye on billups.

The heat can't move no one to get billups without giving up three or more players (which doesn't work because its too many players) or trading one of the big three likely bosh.

Billups contract will only allow thsoe two things to happen.

As I said before the only way the heat can get billups without giving up bosh is for melo to be traded.

When melo is traded the nuggets can then excerise the early buyout clause in billups contract. That expires this summer.

That way billups can come over on the vet min. Billups has already said if that happens he is going to la or miami. That's it

As for dealing with denver their new general manager is an asshole he will lkely ask for bosh to try and convince melo to stay.

Watch. Dude already turn down best offer he was going to get for melo and as everyone is saying he was stupid by doing so.

Am I the only one who thinks Bosh wishes he had stayed in Toronto?... he can't be happy with how this is turning out

Negro please, Nuggets heading to the Finals soon as we get healthy. Melo and Chaunc knows this but you're right. If Melo goes then Chaunc will go. He basically said it himself in an interview I heard on NBA.com

That's what I'm saying this is nothing new. Riley been watching denver but don't think billups is getting traded to miami not happening unless denver gives up bosh.

Remember denver tried to get bosh last december by offering martin and jr.

The new nuggets gm is an asshole but he isn't a punk.

He has already said he is not getting fucked in trades. He only does fair trades.

Plus he plays hardball hoopshype reported yesterday that denver is very impress with Ty numbers and billups shooting has been off since the season started.

i know what yall meant about zero assist, but James is 8th in the league
  • Rajon Rondo 10 15.1
  • Deron Williams 11 10.3
  • Chris Paul 9 10.1
  • Jason Kidd 9 10.0
  • John Wall 8 9.8
  • Steve Nash 10 9.6
  • Derrick Rose 9 9.2
  • LeBron James 10 8.9

Fuck them and their entitlement complex; I hope they fail.
You're such an idiot. Don't you get tired of being a stupid fool? They are a professional sports team who wants to win. They are doing everything they can to win. How the fuck do they have an entitlement complex? Are they supposed to go after the worst talent they can find? You remind me of a fucking idiot who hears a phrase or a big word on T.V. and tries to use it as soon as he can. Too bad you used this out of context ( as usual ).

It can happen if it involves more than two teams. Which i'm hearing about now.

Oh now I know this is bullshit dude google the denver nuggets new gm and put multi team trades.

You know how many gms and owners he pissed off in that weekend where melo was suppose to be a net??????

He fucked over three teams

Jazz bobcats and the nets. Then Saturday the sixers. Then two weeks later new orleans portland and the nets again.

David aldridge already said no gm is doing any more multi team trades with him because he is unprofessional and always at the last minute changes the deal up

Only way heat are getting billups is through his contract early termination clause. That's it. By trading bosh.

Agent creed was right denver new gm dude tries to rape teams and piss on them afterwards

from the miami heat beat writer:

I said that at the top jon this is nothing new

One people gotta understand this dude isn't trading billups to big up two role players who just sign new contracts. Nba doesn't work like that.

Denver gm wants bosh that way he can convince melo to sign that extension

All you gotta do is google this guy and you will see just how he does business

from the miami heat beat writer:

with that quote, i dont see it going down, well not with Haslem and its quite early to give up on Bosh, they just have to get in different looks,
pick and roll, pick and pop, high post isolations with options to pass to the open shooters....

House
Wade
James
Bosh
Haslem

should get a try at the line up tonight

Lay off the crack :smh:

Double and tripled teamed

And stop him from doing what, shooting a 15 footer

thats my choice line up too.
when miller comes back house sits down.

I wish they would trade Bosh for Chauncey.:lol:

What, they getting Nene too? If not, the interior D will be completely gone. Not like it ain't pure shit right now.

If Melo doesn't sign that deal then he is definitely going to be traded. Also, the Nuggets said everyone is available on the roster, and they definitely need to start rebuilind. Billups has two years left with the last of the two being a team option. I don't foresee them extending him because of his age.

If Riley is able to pull this off then he is definitely going to get gm of the decade.

thats my choice line up too.
when miller comes back house sits down.

well if that lineup is gelling noway, House is there for a speedy guard(running around off of screens) and to stretch the defense,

then you have, which ain't a bad second team

Chalmers/Arroyo
Miller
Jones
Anthony
Ilgauskas

I'm a fan of Billups but he would not help the Heat anymore than Erick Dampier would.

Billups isn't the defender he once was and he isn't the shooter that the Heat need. Sadly, even Arroyo is outperforming Billups on D this season.

The Heat are just going to have to man up and improve internally for the time being if they want to get better.

While the Heat are the most hyped up NBA team I've seen in a while, that is still no excuse to give up on what they have so far, so soon. The team isn't even 100% yet :smh:

Yes because he knew how management is and he knew that if he wanted to win he had to go. There was no chance that Chris was coming back to Toronto.

Is this nigga heist serious

consulting fees? i :smh: and scrolled downward.

You guys are disillusioned (or naive) if you think a team who really wants a player, but doesn't want to blow apart their cap - doesn't go below board to entice a player to come join.

Perks are not reported to the NBA and non-cash compensation (i.e. insider business deals, property transfer, and gifts) aren't reported either.

I guess you think boosters in college sports only provide a small stipend to players like meals and a clothing allowance. :hmm:

Here's an example. I have an old friend who played Euro league most of his career. One team really wanted him at the end of the season but he wasn't willing to go to that country unless they came up with another $125,000. The team was at their cap max and I think if you exceeded it in that league, you not only payed a luxury tax - you dropped 2 positions on your draft that year.

The luxury tax wasn't necessarily an issue but they didn't want to lose the high draft pick slot, so to sweeten the deal the team owner, who also happened to own a manufacturing company made him a sweetheart deal.

The owner had his lawyers form a landscaping company in my friend's name and gave him a 3% consulting fee on the construction of a new plant he was building.

My friend showed up to the site for exactly ONE DAY for approximately 15 minutes. Took some photos, walked around the site once. Signed some bullshit architectural plans like where the plants, trees, flowers were going to that were provided for him and guess what ... the consulting fee was for $125,000 which showed up in a bank account the day after he signed the basketball contract.

So fellas, don't be naive. Business is business and you make the numbers work however you can make them work to get the talent you need.

Thats my thing right here, even the coach said, "it would be a few months", so stick to it!!! The second half of the season should be what some folks excepted from jump.

That would be too much wear and tear on Haslem because he would start when the big centers are fresh. He should come off the bench. Anthony shouldn't start.

I don't know why they aren't out there trying to get Dampier. Maybe he burned some bridges or something ebcause he has been lazy throughout his career. The Lakers are eyeing him. OS it would behoove the Heat to not try to get him. At least he will offer rebounds and fouls. He can bang.
